What is Andro 400?

Andro 400 is a natural testosterone boosting supplement that says it can help. As of this review, it’s being HEAVILY advertised on radio stations, which is actually where I first learned about it.

andro400 commercial

If you listen to the commercial, you’ll hear from several men who saw great results with Andro 400.

You’ll hear lots of good things about Andro 400, like:

  • I have a lot more energy.
  • I lost a lot of weight.
  • My pain has been reduced dramatically.
  • Libido is off the charts.
  • and so on.

Just to be clear, this isn’t testosterone replacement therapy.

It’s not even an over the counter erection pill.

Andro 400 is a combination of all natural ingredients that they say can help you feel younger and fitter than you have in years.

You’ll have increased energy and stamina in everything you do.

You’ll get fit more easily…

And you’ll even perform better in sports, at least according to the manufacturer of Andro 400.

So what’s in Andro 400 that can do all that?

Andro 400 Ingredients and How They Work

The primary ingredient in Andro 400 is Eurycoma Longifolia (sometimes called Tongkat Ali).

It can increase the level of free testosterone in your blood by blocking the action of Sex Hormone Binding Gobulin. (Source)

how one of the ingredients in andro 400 works

SHBG attaches itself to free testosterone molecules, binding them up and making them ineffective.

With Eurycoma Longifolia acting on the SHBG, the testosterone molecules can remain free and active.

This sounds great in theory and all, but according to several studies Eurycoma Longifolia did not show ANY effect on baseline testosterone levels. (Source)

The only other ingredients shared by Andro 400 are two amino acids, L-Arginine and L-Citrulline.

Both of these can be commonly found in many of the foods you eat.

foods that contain l arginine

These both work to increase the amount of nitric oxide in your blood.

NO opens up your blood vessels so blood can flow through more freely and easily.

how l arginine works to produce nitric oxide

This means more energy, better athletic performance, and better erections, and this has been proven in the lab. (source)

Andro 400 comes in two formulas, original Andro 400 and Andro 400 Max.

Andro 400 Max is recommended for men over the age of 40 or with 10 or more pounds to lose.

It contains almost twice as much Eurycoma Longifolia as well as the L-Arginine and L-Citrulline.

Which leads us to our next question.

Are Their Any Side Effects With Andro 400?

The official website of course, says that because the ingredients are 100% all natural, that it is completely side effect free.

This is of course a load of BS, because we all know that herbal ingredients are prone to produce adverse reactions.

In fact, some of the ingredients in Andro 400 have quite the reputation for some of their less than desirable side effects, but I am still not surprised that they claim that there are none.

So what are the potential side effects of Andro 400?

Here’s the shortlist:

  • Decreased blood pressure
  • Abdominal pain
  • Bloating
  • Diarrhea
  • Worsening of Asthma
  • Difficulty sleeping
  • Dizziness

Well, research suggests that the main ingredient (Eurycoma Longifolia) is actually possibly safe to take by mouth for as much as 9 months.

However, that same research also suggests that there is insufficient evidence that it will help with athletic performance, testosterone levels, or muscle strength / endurance.

andro400 benefits

In the Andro 400 Max formula, the ingredients L-Arginine and L-Citrulline are well documented to produce negative side effects.

For example, L-Arginine causes vasodilation of the blood arteries, which allows for increased blood flow.

how l arginine works

This increased blood flow can have a blood pressure lowering effect.

While this in and of itself is not a bad thing, if you are already taking medications that lower blood pressure, it can cause them to drop to unsafe levels if you’re not checking.

L-Arginine also has a host of other potential side effects, including abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhea, and worsening of asthma.

According to several other credible sources, L-Citrulline also has the potential to lower blood pressure.

What Do The Reviews Have To Say About Andro 400?

Update 2-19

We had someone named Bruce reach out to us with his feedback on Andro 400 max, check it out below:

I read your review of Andro 400 Max, and i noted that you stated you were not aware of any “personal” reviews or testimonials other than those which the advertiser chose to share.
I am a 68 year-old male, in fair to good shape.

I have been taking Andro 400 Max since the summer of 2018. It’s now February of 2019. During this time I lost 30 lbs. and I also have an increased libido.

I have no baseline against which to measure testosterone.

More on that later.

Probably not by coincidence, during the same time I also reduced my daily caloric intake habits and began exercising 5 or 6 times a week for between 10 and 30 minutes per session, as compared to 1 to 2 times per week for 45-60 minutes a session, which was my previous habit.

My wife has noticed a significant difference as well.

Once episode of intimacy every other week or so has changed to 2 or 3 times per week, with much better results!

This morning I told her I had run out of Andro400 Max and I had taken something “similar” for the last few days.

Her immediate response was, “I hope you have some more on order.” And fortunately I do.

I hope this information helps with your assessment. It is completely unsolicited.

I found your site by accident as I was comparing the ingredients of Andro400 Max with the “other supplement” I have been taking, something I had in the medicine cabinet called, “Alpha Fuel.”

I’m happy to discuss further if you wish.

– Bruce

For a supplement as heavily advertised as this one, there’s a surprisingly small amount of reviews available for Andro 400. In fact, the only legit ones I could actually find were on the website “complaintslist.com“, and they didn’t paint a very pretty picture.

However, some of the comments / testimonials of Andro400 are relatively positive.

andro400 feedback

To be quite honest, I’m not even sure if these “reviews” are really credible.

For example, many of these positive reviews spend an awful lot of time bashing people who were bashing the product.

It’s like they’re defending the product, almost as if they had some sort of connection to it.

ron

I don’t know about you, but if I were getting such great results from the supplement, I would probably just leave my feedback and that’s it.

I wouldn’t waste my time bashing others opinions on the product and defending the company.

In fact, some guys even call this out.

steve

It seems to me that the biggest complaint about Andro400 was their “free trial”, which really isn’t so free.

Typically the way it works is they offer you a 14 day trial to test out there product, and then whop your credit card with a hefty charge down the road.

Many guys don’t see this coming, and end up spending hundreds on a product that they may (or may NOT) want anymore.

In fact, the FTC warns consumers about getting involved in these so called “negative billing options”, but often it’s much too late.

ftc free trial video

It doesn’t appear that their sample is available anymore, which is actually kind of a good thing.

How does Andro 400 compare to other T- Boosters?

I’ve personally tested over 2 dozen different types of testosterone boosters, and I can tell you that the vast majority do NOT work very well.

How does this one stack up to the others? Well here’s a few common ones that men like yourself use.

Andro 400 Vs. Nugenix

andro400 vs nugenixNugenix is actually a VERY popular and heavily advertised testosterone boosting supplement that I actually got a chance to try out personally.

There are some pretty vast differences between Nugenix and Andro 400, the primary of which are:

The price – Nugenix retails at around $70 in most stores like GNC and Walgreens. Compared to the average retail price of Andro 400 of $35, this is a pretty big difference.

The Ingredients – Andro 400 pretty much only contains one ingredient, eurycoma longifolia. Nugenix contains a blend of other ingredients, which include Zinc, Vitamins B6 and B12, Fenugreek extract, and Tribulus terrestris. The only common ingredient they share is that of L-Citrulline.

Availability – As of this review, Nugenix is only available in the US and Canada. On the other hand, Andro 400 appears to be sold worldwide, including the UK, Australia, Germany, and France.

Customer Feedback – The vast majority of reviews of Nugenix (at least on our website) are not very positive.

If you had to ask me which one I think is better, I would say it’s a toss up.

Andro 400 Vs. Test x180

andro400 vs test x180Another very popular testosterone boosting supplement we get a lot of feedback on is called Test X180 (made by a company called Force Factor). Just like with Nugenix, there are some pretty big differences.

Note: For the purposes of this review, I will be comparing the original Test X180 formula to Andro 400. Force Factor also makes several other versions of Test X180 available, including Ignite, Alpha, and Tempest.

The Price – Test X180 is available on their official website for $70. You can find it a bit cheaper if you shop around, with prices ranging from as little as $55 at Vitamin Shoppe, to as much as $65 for GNC gold card members.

The ingredients – Also a big difference here. Test X180 contains Testofen (a trademarked version of Fenugreek extract) as well as ginseng, tribulus terrestris, Vitamin D, and cordyceps.

Customer Reviews – Unlike with Nugenix, the reviews of Test X180 are generally positive. Most guys report increased energy, enhanced libido, and even a reduction in their pain symptoms.

However, I actually got a chance to try it out, and while it did seem to give me raging boners, it did come with a price (massive headaches about 1 week in).

Availability – Just like with Nugenix, Test X180 is only available in the US and Canada.

Andro 400 Vs. Ageless Male

ageless male reviewOne last supplement I’d like to compare Andro 400 to would be Ageless Male. This supplement is actually probably one of the most well-known in the supplement industry.

If you look at the reviews of Ageless Male on Amazon, you’ll see that they’re not very glowing.

The Price – When I originally wrote about Ageless Male, it was SUPER expensive, coming in at close to $95 per bottle. However, it now appears to be sold for MUCH less, retailing on the Walgreens website for as little as $40.

The Ingredients – Just like with Nugenix and Test X180, Ageless Male contains fenugreek extract, as well as Zinc and Magnesium.

Availability – Only available in the US and Canada.

My Personal Results of Using Andro 400

As you may already be aware, I’m a 35 year old who’s basically in good shape. I eat right, exercise often, and refrain from drug use (although I do have the occasional Vodka and club soda from time to time).

With that said, I’ve never really experienced the effects of low testosterone, at least not in a dramatic way like some of the guys who email me are.

After several months of doing research on itI finally got a chance to try out Andro 400. The directions on the label state that you should take 2 capsules once per day with a meal, which contains about 300 mg of standard Eurycoma Longifolia extract.

andro400 reviewWhile it’s unknown what the optimal dose for Eurycoma Longifolia is, 300 mg seems to be the standard in many of the other testosterone boosters I’ve tested.

I did this for about 3 weeks, and I have to say the first few days I did notice a pretty significant boost in libido. What I noted most apparent was that I seemed to be lasting much longer than I usually do.

Typically I will orgasm within 5 – 10 min. during sexual activity, but with Andro 400 I seemed to be lasting about 15 – 20 min.

Other than an increase in libido / decrease in premature ejaculation, I didn’t really seem to notice any other benefits.

There was no increase in energy, I wasn’t sleeping better, I didn’t lose any weight, and I sure as shit didn’t see any noticeable muscle gains.

According to the Andro 400 website, while taking this supplement you can expect your testosterone to double within three weeks, but to be honest I really don’t know if it did at all.

I realize that some of you reading this may be asking yourselves “well, did you get a blood test and see if your testosterone levels actually went up?”

The simple answer to this question is no, and the reason behind that is that it’s not practical for me to get a blood test every time I take a testosterone booster like Andro 400.

If I were to do that I’d be a permanent fixture at the Ecolab facility getting blood drawn once a month, and I don’t have time to do that.

Not only that, but your testosterone levels tend to fluctuate with a NUMBER of outside factors, including how much exercise you’ve gotten, weight fluctuations, and even your diet.

So what that basically means is there’s no REAL way to attribute ANY testosterone increase solely to supplementation.

Next time maybe I’ll try using a testosterone home kit to see if there was any difference.

I searched through several of the major brick and mortar stores like Walmart, GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, Walgreens / CVS, and none of them appear to sell Andro 400.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between Andro 400 and traditional Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT)?

HUGE differences. First off, Andro 400 is made up completely of all natural ingredients. Testosterone replacement therapies like Androgel, Androderm, and Testim are FDA approved medical treatments that require a diagnosis of low testosterone and a prescription from a licensed physician.

There is no prescription required for Andro 400 because it is an all natural product, and it is available over the counter.

Because testosterone replacement therapies like these carry so many risks, a lot of men turn to herbal remedies like this one as a healthy alternative.

Is it safe?

By and large, yes. However, if you read the side effects section above, you will note that there are some potential complications. It’s always recommended that you check with your doctor before starting any supplementation regiment.

Is Andro 400 a steroid?

Not even close. However, some of the marketing may suggest that it can work just as effectively.

Can I drink alcohol while taking Andro 400?

Technically you could, but it’s not recommended. I’ve pointed out in numerous articles, including this one, that drinking alcohol in excess can lead to a whole host of problems, including reduced testosterone levels.

This reduction can cause some serious health issues, including a loss of libido.

Conclusion

The price is right, but I’m afraid the formula is just too limited to expect too much in the way of results.Eurycoma Longifolia is good, but not good enough to stand on its own in a formula that’s meant to be a complete package.

From my personal results, I would give it a 9 out of 10 in terms of boosting libido, and a 2 out of 10 for everything else. If you absolutely 100% want to try Andro 400, I would go with the Andro 400 Max version. It contains many more effective ingredients, and will likely give you a much better result.

You may be better off trying out a supplement like Provacyl, which acts as both a rejuvenation supplement as well as an HGH releaser.

If you choose to go with Andro 400, please be wary of side effects and double check to make sure that it does not interact with medications you are currently taking.

But if you still want to tryAndro 400, the 90 day money back guarantee ensures that there’s little financial risk, so you may want to just go for it.

    1. Hey Richard,
As far as I’m aware, it does not affect eyesight directly. With that said, one of the primary side effects is dizziness, which may or may not be directly related to changes in eyesight.
