We read about alot of pre-workout and bodybuilding supplements, and have even tried a few out ourselves. After browsing through the Vitamin Shoppe website, we came across BSN Nitrix, which appears to be an advanced performance supplement designed for your workouts. We have reviewed other products that BSN makes, most notably NO Xplode, which is a fantastic nitric oxide supplement. Let’s see how this one stacks up against the competition, with a thorough investigation of user feedback and testimonials.
As an over the counter dietary supplement, BSN Nitrix is a VasoMuscular Volumizer that won the Gigas “Energy Supplement of the Year” in 2007. It is designed to be taken 3 times a day before meals, and can be stacked with other similar products for maximum performance gains. Because this product contains L-Arginine, it is said to work by allowing your blood vessels to dilate, which is supposed to increase blood flow. This claim is based off of research conducted in early 2005, showing that the use of l-arginine did help to improve overall blood and oxygen flow, which helps to deliver nutrients more efficiently.
BSN Nitrix also contains a number of other ingredients, with really fancy names in them, such as L-Citrulline, Hydroxypropyl Methocellulse, Creatinol-O-Phosphate-Malic Acid Interfusion, and a number of different creatines. If you are that concerned about what these ingredients do, you should run a search on them. But I’m guessing what you really want to know is, what were the results?
We poured through a number of reviews of bsn nitrix, and found that most guys had alot of good things to say about it. One thing we did note is that the pills were very large, so if you have a hard time swallowing large pills, you may want to look into something else. One reaction we noticed from practically every customer is they said it gave them an increased pump look, kind of the way you feel when you get out of the gym, with your veins popping out. Look what others had to say:
“Been using for about 4 weeks now. I don’t really see any change in my energy levels or anything, but my muscles look noticeably bigger. I stacked nitrix with protein and creatine, and after the first month I gained about 10 pounds of lean muscle. Overall, a pretty good product if you can stand taking 9 pills a day.”
“I have tried alot of these NO supplements, and some of them are just crap, they don’t do anything. This one felt alot different, it gave me really good size gains, but I’m not sure exactly how. The only gripe I have about it is that you have to take it 3 times a day, and I forgot to take it a few times so i don’t know if that had any effect. Plus, these pills are like horse pills, so huge! Would definitely recommend to a friend though.”
Where To Buy BSN Nitrix
This supplement can be found on hundreds of major retail sites such as bodybuilding.com, amazon, ebay, and others for a price range of $27 – $40, and the cheapest price at the time of this review was $25 on ebay. It is also sold in local nutrition and supplement stores, like vitamin shoppe and gnc, but it seemed to be in the more expensive price category, selling at an average price of $40 in these stores.
We think the reviews of bsn nitrix speak for themselves. Almost all of the users reported strength and size gains, but failed to get an energy increase from it. You should consider stacking this with possibly Jack3d for the energy drive, and maybe a protein shake for recovery periods. Some guys even stacked it with a creatine supplement, but it doesn’t really seem necessary considering it already contains creatine. Overall, two thumbs up for this reviewer, but be sure to shop around first ti get the best price.
