1. Kamagra Overview

Men looking for help with erectile dysfunction have the option to use prescription medications, such as Viagra or Cialis.

They can also go the herbal male enhancement route with over the counter supplements meant to increase desire and improve performance.

A lot of men find their way to herbal based over the counter alternatives to Viagra and others of that ilk because they don’t want to navigate a doctor’s office and have what can be a fairly awkward conversation with a stranger about something that is deeply personal.

Others go for the over the counter male sexual enhancers because a lot of them appear to have less side effects than their prescription counterparts and require less hoops to jump through to get their hands on them.

Some men might be tempted to use the prescription drugs, but aren’t interested in paying the high price or going through the trouble of getting a prescription from their doctor.

For those men, Kamagra may seem like a viable option.

Kamagra contains the same active ingredient as Viagra, but it is made in India by Ajanta Pharma.

It is sold online and doesn’t require a prescription.

We’ll look a little closer at this product to determine if it’s right for you.

2. What is Kamagra?

Kamagra, a Viagra generic, is sold by Ajanta Pharma
Image: ajanta-europe.com

Kamagra 100 comes in tablet, effervescence, and ‘oral jelly’ form.

It’s 100mg of straight Sildenafil Citrate, the breakthrough ingredient behind the Viagra legacy.

Sildenafil is highly sought after by men who suffer from ED, and for good reason.

It works extremely well to get an erection fast.

In fact, studies show that upwards of 85% of men are satisfied with their sexual performance while taking Sildenafil. (Source)

Kramaga claims to give you an erection like Viagra
Image: pinterest.com

And generally speaking, Sildenafil is completely safe to take and doesn’t come with many nasty side effects.Only 3.8% of men experienced adverse effects when taking Sildenafil as one four-year study found.

Of course, I’m referring to legitimate forms of Sildenafil.

Not the stuff you can buy on the pharma-black-market, so to speak.

3. Who Makes Kamagra?

Ajanta Pharma India is the maker of Kamagra pills for sexual dysfunction in men
Image: ajantapharma.com

Ajanta Pharma Limited is the maker of Kamagra.

This company is all about first-to-market generics.

It was established in 1973 and is based in Mumbai, with several manufacturing plants across India. (Only two of these sites have been approved by the US FDA.) And Ajanta is a big player in the online pharmacy world, employing nearly 7,000 people around the globe.

When looking at their website, you get the sense that it’s a professional company… not your typical fly-by-night counterfeit Viagra dealers.

They instill trust in their visitors, which might be one reason why they’ve recently (only since 2013!) been allowed to sell *certain* products in the U.S.

Now, as you probably know, buying drugs through online pharmacies poses a risk to your health and safety.

In fact, a study titled “Digital danger: a review of the global public health, patient safety and cyber-security threats posed by illicit online pharmacies,” has this to say about the epidemic.

Illicit online pharmacies are a serious and immediate threat to patients seeking healthcare and medicines globally.

While legitimate online pharmacies provide many benefits including convenience and privacy, the proliferation of illicit online pharmacies with their attendant risks of patient injury or even death has made purchasing medicines via the Internet an extremely dangerous practice. Source

Sometimes, you get what you pay for.

I recently wrote a review calling out Pharmacy RX One for topping the list of these so-called ‘Rogue’ online pharmacies.

But I must say,the company behind Kamagra pills looks (relatively) legit.

What about the product though? What’s in it? Can you trust it?

And if so, what’s the best way to get your hands on these male sex enhancers?

4. Kamagra Ingredients and How They Work

Sildenafil chemical compound
Image: https://www.researchgate.net

Kamagra contains one lone ingredient: Sildenafil Citrate.

That’s the same active ingredient, in the same strength, as Viagra.

Again, the dosage is 100mg, which is actually the preferred dose for more than 88% of men. (Source)

Sildenafil is typically taken in 100mg, which 88% of all men prefer

Kamagra is essentially a generic form of Viagra, and so it functions in the body much like Viagra does — by increasing blood flow to the penis in the presence of sexual arousal, causing harder, longer lasting erections.

When the pill is taken 30 to 60 minutes before sexual activity, it will block the chemical PDE-5 that constricts blood flow, allowing the Corpora Cavernosa to become engorged with blood.

This allows you to achieve and maintain an erection for as long as you’re sexually aroused (Source).

Not bad, eh?

corpora cavernosa is where the blood flows during an erection

This can be a huge relief and confidence builder for the 30-million-plus men in the U.S. alone who suffer from ED.

And I can tell you from my own personal experience… Sildenafil works ridiculously well.

It works in the bedroom and in clinical trials.

One study found that “69 percent of all attempts at sexual intercourse were successful for the men receiving sildenafil, as compared with 22 percent for those receiving placebo.” Source

In other words, this ingredient is worth your time if you can’t seem to get an erection and keep it.

5. Kamagra Side Effects

Just like the little blue pill, Kamagra can give you side effects.

Let’s give the pill the benefit of the doubt and pretend it contains a super-clean form of Sildenafil.

According to WebMD, here are the potential side-effects one could expect:

  • Dizziness
  • Headache
  • Flushing
  • Upset stomach
  • Vision changes
Sildenafil, the main ingredient in Kamagra, comes with side effects
Image: webmd.com

And did you catch that?

The folks at WebMD say…

“Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects.”

Doctor. Prescribed. Medication.

This matters.

There’s a reason why traditionally Sildenafil (Viagra) required a visit the doctor and a prescription.

We’ll dig into this highly-important matter in our next section.

You don't need a doctor prescription to buy Kamagra
Image: https://bestdoctors.com/

6. Is Kamagra Safe?

Maybe.

Maybe not.

That’s the thing, there’s really no telling what exactly goes into these pills that are shipped overseas from India.

Sildenafil is considered “safe when prescribed correctly.” But remember, there is no prescription when buying Kamagra online.

Kamagra might not be safe because a doctor does not prescribe it
Image: onlinedoctor.lloydspharmacy.com

All that “hassle” and potential embarrassment of seeking professional medical advice from a doctor… well, it keeps you healthy and could even save your life.

The Viagra website has this really cool section called ‘Important Safety Information’.

And in it, they give honest disclaimers that are super telling about the possible dangers of Sildenafil when taken by certain people with certain conditions.

Kamagra can be extremely dangerous and even deadly for some men
Image: viagra.com

So…

According to the medical professionals at Viagra, Sildenafil (Kamagra!) could turn dangerous and/or deadly if you’re:

  • Taking any medicines called nitrates, often prescribed for chest pain, or guanylate cyclase stimulators like Adempas (riociguat) for pulmonary hypertension.

Your blood pressure could drop to an unsafe level.
  • If you are allergic to sildenafil, as contained in VIAGRA and REVATIO, or any of the ingredients in VIAGRA

And I’m sure it happens all the time — unwitting men with heart conditions buying fake viagra online, popping the pills, and falling dead.

Do not take Kramaga sex pill if you're taking nitrates for heart problems
Image: deskarati.com

Psychology Today wrote a whole bit on this very thing.

In their article titled “Warning to Men: Erection Drugs Just Might KILL You,” they warn of the long-forgotten Viagra death toll.

You see, when Viagra first hit the market in the late 90’s, every dude with every health condition under the sun was scrambling for the little pills.

Then, according to Psychology Today, “the bodies started dropping.”

It wasn’t until “several hundred deaths” later that the FDA stepped in and said no more Viagra for men who take nitrates for chest pain, specifically angina.

It’s just too deadly of a combination.

Viagra was once a deadly pill
Image: washingtonpost.com

Keep in mind, whenever I mention Viagra, I could just as well be writing “Kamagra.” It’s the same damn thing (sorta).

Anyhow, it doesn’t stop there.

On the Viagra website, they go on to say that other serious (but rare) conditions could occur.

These include an erection that will not go away (Priapism), sudden vision loss in one or both eyes, and sudden hearing decrease or hearing loss.

The point is… if you have certain health conditions and decide to take Kamagra without the green-light from a doctor, you could potentially die.

Yup, not fun.

8. What do the reviews have to say?

In my searching I was only able to find one source of fairly unbiased reviews on the product.

Overall, it gets a half-decent 3.3 stars out of 5 stars. Not too shabby.

But the reviews are all over the board, so I’ll share just a couple.

Kamagra is given 3.3 stars overall from multiple reviewers of the sex pill

One guy named Gary says it pretty much gave him every side effect known to man…

One guy did not like his experience taking the sexual enhancer Kamagra
Image: fdlist.com

Another guy, Fred, sees the pill as a true blessing.

He’s so darn impressed by the affordability of the pills that he says “the price of the stuff is a joke.” And it gets him “in the running for hours, several times in a row.” But like other users, he does lament the side effects…

Kamagra, a generic Viagra, helped this man who suffered from erectile dysfunction
Image: fdlist.com

And then there’s everything in-between. It worked great. It didn’t work at all. It’s a scam.

It’s a…

You get the point.

Finally, other side effects reported by the reviewers included dizzy spells, dry mouth, red eyes, mild headaches, etc.

The good news is… nobody complained of sudden death. 😉

9. Does Kamagra Make You Bigger?

No, it will not make your penis bigger.

Sorry guys.

Kamagra will not make you bigger
Image: quickmeme.com

While it might seem that you’ve gained size while taking the pill, you should know this is only temporary.

The blood flow will eventually fade away with your erection, and you’ll be back to your normal size again.

10. Can I take it with alcohol?

No.

It’s probably not the best idea to take Kamagra with alcohol.

First off, alcohol doesn’t help “the boner cause” in any way, shape, or form.

In fact, you could get whiskey dick, a nasty phenomenon that’ll keep little Charlie on the sidelines for the night.

Whiskey dick happens when you drink too much alcohol and try to get an erection but can't
Image: sirmag.wordpress.com

I wrote a whole review on the effects of alcohol on testosterone, and it’s just a bad combination all around.

But more importantly, according to Drugs.com…

“Sildenafil can lower blood pressure, and combining it with ethanol may further increase this effect.

You may be more likely to experience symptoms such as dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, flushing, headache, and heart palpitations.

You should avoid or limit the use of alcohol while being treated with sildenafil…” (Source)

Look, Kamagra is a wild-card, meaning we don’t know how pure the Sildenafil actually is.

So who knows how your body is going to respond to the drug?

Why risk further complicating matters with a night of drinking?

Do not take alcohol with kramaga

11. Is Kamagra Legal?

That’s a great question.

First I want to share that the FDA currently has an import ban on the tablets, for the simple reason that they’re an “unapproved drug.”

That aside, according to accessrx.com, it’s actually “illegal for a U.S. citizen to receive prescription drugs without a prescription from a licensed U.S. physician.”

Same goes for Canada and the UK.

Kramaga is illegal to bring into the US
Image: forexscalpingrobot.com

Australia and the Netherlands seem a bit more lenient on their import policies, but I was unable to find a definitive answer on the legalities there.

To be safe, do your due diligence before buying any medication online.

If you’re dead set on getting Viagra online, consider check out a service called Blue Chew.

They offer a simple questionnaire that will put you in touch with a doctor who can legally prescribe you Viagra.

12. Can I take Kamagra on a Plane through Customs?

The U.S.

Customs and Border Protections website
says you must declare all medications (Kamagra included), lest you be subject to “heavy fines.”

You have to declare medications like Kramaga at customs
Image: stuffyoushouldknow.com

One port customs director says…

“Bottom line, travelers face stiff civil penalties or possible criminal prosecution for failing to declare items at an U.S. port or entry.

Always declare everything acquired abroad.

Lack of knowledge is not an acceptable excuse.” Source

13. Kamagra Pros and Cons

A cheaper version of Viagra sounds good and all, but a closer look might reveal that this may not be your best option.

Advantages of Kamagra

  • It probably works like Viagra
  • Is much cheaper than the brand name medication
  • Doesn’t require a visit to the doctor
Kamagra is super cheap
stuffyoushouldknow.com

Disadvantages of Kamagra

  • It is illegal to buy prescription drugs online without a prescription
  • Manufactured in India, Kamagra is not subject to the quality control measures that drugs undergo in the US
  • There are known Kamagra side effects, such as headache, diarrhea, dizziness, nasal congestion, and heart palpitations
  • Taking Sildenafil Citrate without a doctor’s supervision could leave you vulnerable to dangerous and potentially deadly drug interactions that you may not be aware of

14. Where to Buy Kamagra

Available through several online pharmacies, you’ll find that Kamagra comes in many forms. There are tablets, oral jellies, and effervescent pills that you dissolve in water.

Consequently, the price is significantly less than Viagra.

In pill form, prices range from about $4 per pill to as little as $1 per pill if you buy in bulk.

15. Recommendations

Whenever a name brand drug is determined to be effective, there will eventually be generic drugs that provide the same ingredients at a lower price. The problem is the original manufacturer holds a patent which prevents other companies from using their formula for a certain period of time.

However, manufacturers in other countries are not subject to this law.

Unfortunately, they are also not subject to the strict US guidelines put in place to make sure consumers know what they’re getting.

This is concerning, especially when dealing with a drug that is known to cause side effects, some minor and some serious.

I do not recommend Kamagra
Image: blogingrace.com

Additionally, Sildenafil Citrate, the active ingredient in Kamagra, is known to cause dangerous drug interactions when taken with certain heart medications.

This is why it is important to visit with your doctor and get a prescription before taking it.

If you experience erectile dysfunction, see your doctor.

Otherwise, there are plenty of safe, herbal enhancement supplements that can help increase both desire and performance without a prescription.

Try one of these instead of Kamagra.

  1. Kamagra is now out in an effervescent form, like Alka Seltzer for your penis! Still can’t recommend it, side effects very likely the same unpleasantness.

There are jellies of this and other PDE5 inhibitors. If you want something that hits with less intensity they may be for you.

    Still can’t really recommend them.
