Shengjingpian is a male enhancement supplement that has been around since 2003 when it was researched and developed by a Professor Frese at the Biological Center of the Los Angeles Health Bureau.

The information about this product is very spotty, but I’ll share with you everything we could find.

According to the promotional information we saw, Shengjingpianis the most popular mens health product in the market.

Of course, that is essentially impossible to verify.

Given the scarcity of information and the fact that I’d never heard of it, I highly doubt that it’s true.

But that doesn’t mean it can’t be of benefit it you, so we soldier on.

Shengjingpian ReviewShengjingpian Ingredients and How They Work

Unfortunately, no ingredient list is provided with any of the information we could find about Shengjingpian.

The purported benefits are that it improves erections, builds stamina and control, increases libido, and helps you maintain your erections.

And that it does all this without side effects or negative consequences of any kind.

The only thing we were able to uncover about how Shengjingpian works is that it “activates the growth factor of the PDA, dilutes and replenishes semen, and thereby brings about multiple ejaculations an climaxes.” Now, unfortunately again, this isn’t explained by any Shengjingpian literature so that’s about as far as the explanation goes.

And if this product worked like any of the hundreds of others I’ve studies and used, I’d be able to explain it to you.

But apparently, Shengjingpian is something completely different.

I have read, however, that Shengjingpian improves blood circulation, expands the corpus cavernosa, and increases testosterone levels, so at least there’s something familiar to grab onto.

While that is all good in theory and is how many male enhancement supplements do work, there is no way to know if their claims are to be trusted without a full ingredients list available.

The only concrete information really is that the recommended dose is 1 capsule about 10-15 minutes before sexual activity, and that you shouldn’t take more than 1 capsule in a 24 hour period.

  • There’s no information available concerning the ingredients and/or how they work.

An old school model to be sure, but perhaps one that we wish we’d see more of these days.

One of their core products is Focus XT, a mental performance optimizer. Similar supplements are made and sold by other companies to provide an alternative to Adderall and other ADD/ADHD drugs. They boost your cognitive functioning while giving you a clean energy boost as well. With Focus XT, you’ll find you have:

  • Improved concentration, clarity, and alertness
  • Better memory and cognitive functioning
  • More energy
  • Less stress
  • More athletic drive and endurance
  • A sense of well-being
  • Mind-muscle connection
  • More fat burning during exercise

Focus XT Ingredients and How They Work

The product page on the SNS website claims that the Focus XT powder contains the precise amount necessary of each ingredient to make this a powerful formulation. Unfortunately, it’s a proprietary blend, so that means that while we know what’s in it, we don’t know how much. What’s in it is:

  • Choline Bitartrate improves memory and muscle control.
  • L-Tyrosine increasesalertness and energy.
  • Acetyl-L-Carnitine helps produce energy in the body.
  • DMAE (Dimethylaminoethanol Bitartrate improves memory, concentration, and intellectual function.
  • Vinpocetine may increase blood flow to the brain, thereby improving brain function. It requires further study, but some preliminary testing indicates that it may be helpful for improving thinking skills in patients with Alzheimer’s disease.
  • Huperzine A is used for improving memory and enhancing learning as well as for Alzheimer’s disease.
  • Caffeine for improved energy and mood.

You should combine 1 level scoop with 8 ounces of water to make a “shake” 10 to 30 minutes before you want the effects to begin, for example before a workout or before starting a project. If you want to use 2 servings in a day, you should space them out at least 6 to 8 hours apart.

My Results With Focus XT

focus xt reviewI’ve never been a huge fan of taking supplements that contain stimulants. Sure, they tend to work better than supplements that don’t contain stimulants, but often there are a wide range of side effects that occur as a by-product. I approached Focus XT with a healthy bit of skepticism at first, and decided to give it a full 3 weeks of testing.

As mentioned earlier, the directions on the label state to take 1 scoop 10 – 30 minutes prior to your workout, and if you feel the need take 1 scoop about 6 – 8 hours later. Because of the potential for side effects, I decided to start with just half a scoop to assess my individual tolerance. As as the taste, I would say it was “OK”. It didn’t taste horrible, but it didn’t taste like my grandmothers pink lemonade.

I felt it start to kick in about 15 min. after ingesting it, but it didn’t come on extremely strong like some of the other pre workout supplements on the market. After about an hour of waiting for the full effect, I decided to hit the gym.

For the first couple of days, I didn’t notice much. Sure, I felt a little bit of increased energy and focus, but figured that might just be a placebo effect. I decided to step up to a full level scoop on the 4th day, and I definitely noticed a more keen sense of focus and concentration both in the gym, and at work.

When it really hit me was the second week, right around the 10 day mark. I felt a huge surge in productivity, and my workouts felt less distracted and more intense. My concentration at work also improved fairly well, and I felt like I was getting twice the work done in half the time.

I did notice a few minor side effects like increased blood pressure, insomnia, and weird vivid dreams, but that’s to be expected when taking a supplement containing DMAE and caffeine. Most of these subsided after about 2 weeks, but i still had the occasional sleepless night. To avoid this you should take it as early in the day as possible on a full stomach, or you could try combining it with their stress / anxiety reducing supplement called Phenibut XT.

All in all I think Focus XT is a solid product. While it took a week or so to really kick in, the overall amount of energy, focus, and concentration I got was amazing. I would suggest you speak with your doctor concerning Focus XT to make sure it’s safe for you to take. When stacked up against some of the other nootropic/pre workout supplements, Focus XT would definitely make my Top 5.

Even on the box, all the writing is in Chinese.

It also features a naked couple engaged in sexual activity, and that picture pretty much speaks the universal language.

It’s a fast acting pill that claims to be the all natural alternative to Viagra.

They say it works fast (in as little as 15 minutes) and lasts a very long time (as long as 120 hours).

According to the product description, Zhen Gongfu is the most popular enhancement pill in China.

It increases sperm production, allowing you multiple orgasms.

It also helps you regenerate more quickly after ejaculation, so you are ready to go again in minutes.

There is no official Zhen Gongfu website, but with several retailers offering the product, we were able to track down all the information we need to break this down and figure out whether or not it works.

Zhen Gongfu ReviewZhen Gongfu Ingredients and How They Work

Honestly, the Zhen Gongfu formula is unlike any we’ve ever seen. Instead of a long list of familiar herbs, it talks about nucleotide acids and ginseng glucosides.

We did find an actually ingredient list, however, and it is:

  • Ginseng
  • Lilac Glucoside
  • Garlic
  • Lily
  • Chinese Angelica
  • Fruit of the Chinese Wolfberry
  • Epimedium Leaf
  • Merinda Officinalis

There’s not much there when it comes to ingredients known to affect sexual performance.

There’s Ginseng which is good for energy and blood flow.

And there’s Epimedium which is good for libido and blood flow.

Beyond that, I don’t know what the ingredients are meant to do, and there is no helpful explanation provided by the manufacturer.

The recommended dose is 1 Zhen Gongfu capsule about 15 minutes before sexual activity.

They say it goes right to work and that the effects can last up to 120 hours.

  • The text on the box is in Chinese.

There is no Zhen Gongfuwebsite that we found, but it’s available online. Prices vary a little, but we found 16 pills on Amazon for under $10. There is no money back guarantee that I’m aware of.

Update!Zhen Gong Fu Contains Hidden Ingredient

One of my readers pointed out that the FDA had issued a warning back in June of 2014 that this product contains sildenafil, which is the active ingredient in Viagra.

I’m a bit embarrassed that I didn’t notice this until now, but looking back at some of the reviews I can see why.

The addition of Sildenafil can be VERY dangerous for some guys. Sildenafil causes a process called Vasodilation, or widening of the blood vessels.

This widening of a blood vessels is directly responsible for giving you an erection. However, at the same time it can cause your blood pressure to drop.

If you are already taking medications to control blood pressure, it may cause it to drop to unsafe levels.

This is called Hypotension, and can lead to an array of problems.

This is not the first time I’ve seen this. As a matter of fact, there’s been dozens of supplements over the years that have been found to have sildenafil in them.

These include Stree Overlord, Black Ant Pills, Ready Man, and Libigrow, to name just a few.

Conclusion

There’s not much I like about the Zhen Gongfu ingredient list.

But that could just be because I’m not familiar with most of its components.

On the other hand, it’s cheap enough that if you’re interested, it’s not that much of a risk to give it a try.

With that being said, you should never jump into trying a new supplement without first checking to make sure that it does not negatively interact with any medications or supplements that you are already taking, as well as that you are not allergic to it.

It may not have the highest potential for being the one for you, but it is a safe enough bet that giving it a try is not a big risk.

Bystrictin REAL Review and Results

As you are probably already aware (or maybe you’re not), I typically try to focus more on pre workout and bodybuilding supplements here on SupplementCritique.com. Every once in awhile though I see a fat burner / weight loss product that catches my eye, and I get this nagging suspicion that I need to try it out. In today’s review I’m going to be talking about Bystrictin, a relative newcomer to the weight loss supplement market. You may have heard the radio ads or even seen them featured in media publications like Cosmopolitan, Glamour magazine, and others. But what is Bystrictin, and does it really work the way they say it does? We explore this supplement in our in-depth review.

What Is Bystrictin?

bystrictin reviewBystrictin is a protein powder that’s manufactured by a company called Century Sciences located in Encino, California. It’s intended as a meal replacement formula, and apparently has been scientifically formulated for weight management. Now, almost all protein powders act as a meal replacement, so what makes Bystrictin any different. I decided to dive into the ingredients head first and see what the fuss is all about.

Ingredients in Bystrictin

There are literally dozens of ingredients in Bystrictin, but I’m only going to talk about the noteworthy ones here and how they stand apart in this formula. Click here to see the Bystrictin nutrition label and here to see a full list of the ingredients.

Protein

Bystricin offers up 3 different types of protein, including soy protein isolate, when protein concentrate, and whey protein isolate. Soy protein is beneficial because it helps to not only reduce LDL cholesterol, but also reduce the risk of heart disease and even osteoporosis.

Whey protein concentrate typically have a low level of fat and cholesterol, but Isolates counteract that because they are processed to remove the fat and lactose.

Bariaxin Complex

Bariaxin is actually a proprietary complex that acts to help fill the gastric system, which essentially is fiber from what I can tell. The key actives in Bariaxin are Propolmannan, which is a supercharged and purified version of Glucomannan (a water-soluble fiber) and Slendesta (Proteinase Inhibitor) that helps the release of the CCK hormone (hunger hormone).

The other ingredients in the Bariaxin complex are water soluble fibers.

Luralean Propolmannan

This ingredient is basically another source of Fiber in Bystrictin, and comes from the rare plant “Amorphophallus Japonica”, which is typically found in Japan. It works by absorbing water and expanding in the stomach to make you feel full faster. It also helps to control blood glucose levels buy slowing the rapid emptying of food from your stomach, which causes you to feel tired after you eat.

How To Take Bystrictin

According to the instructions, Bystrictin should be taken 1 – 2 times a day as a meal replacement shake. The ideal shake consists of 1 scoop of Bystrictin along with either 8 fl. oz. of water or skim milk, and should be consumed within 15 minutes of mixing.

The company actually offers a wide array of interesting recipes that can be used with the protein powder, including some of the following:

Berry Frozen Treats
1 Scoop of Bystricin Vanilla Bean
8 o.z.

Skim Milk
1/2 cup fresh or frozen berries of choice
1 cup plain nonfat yogurt
Blend until smooth, pour into popsicle containers, freeze and enjoy

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup (This One Was My FAVORITE!)
1 Scoop of Bystrictin Swiss Chocolate
8 o.z. skim milk
1 Tbsp. reduced fat peanut butter (I substituted with Almond butter)
5 ice cubes
Blend until smooth

Hazel Nut Heaven
1 Scoop Bystrictin Swiss Chocolate
8 o.z. skim milk
1 tsp. reduced fat peanut butter (I substituted with Almond butter)
1 tsp.

Hazelnut spread (Nutella)
5 ice cubes
Blend until smooth

Sometimes, mixing a protein supplement with a blender can be a real chore. There’s the hassle of taking it out of the closet, putting it together, adding all the ingredients, then finally having to clean up a huge mess when it’s all done. What’s great about Bystrictin is they actually included a mixing cup with the powder, which just involves pouring in your skim milk (or water), adding a scoop, tightening the lid, and shake around for a minute or so.

For those that have used protein / meal replacement shakes before, you know stirring with a spoon (or even shaking in a mixing cup) often leaves protein “bunched up” at the bottom of the cup. Very intelligently, the makers of this supplement have included a metallic dome shaped piece that you can drop in the cup and it will literally break apart the stubborn protein that is sticking to the bottom or “bunching up”.

Bystrictin Reviews I’ve Been Reading

After scouring through countless threads/discussions on Bystrictin, I noticed the reviews and testimonials seem mixed. In some cases users saw a significant weight loss and hunger reduction, and in others people said they got no results from it. My nagging suspicion is that the majority of these reviews came from adults who probably have a MUCH higher caloric intake requirement than is suggested on the label (says eat at least 1,200 calories a day, which is literally the bare minimum for most people.

I think to get the best value from Bystrictin you should calculate how many calories you need per day, and reduce your overall caloric intake by 300 – 500 calories per day. My Overall Results

Now, I’m not overweight by any stretch of the imagination. I’ve been a pretty active guy for most of my life, playing a wide range of sports and usually eat pretty healthy. I’m a big proponent of diet and exercise, but of course I also recommend supplements to help you achieve your goals faster.

I started taking the Bystrictin right after my workouts as a post workout shake, something that I do normally. Now, like I mentioned earlier in the review, almost all protein powders act as a meal replacement formula. The difference between this one and the one I normally use (Gold Standard Whey) was that I did NOT feel hungry for hours afterwards.

Typically, as with Gold Standard, I feel “satisfied” for about an hour after I drink it, but like clockwork I am craving something else to eat about an hour later. Not with Bystrictin. I literally had to force myself to eat about 2.5 hours later, and even then I still didn’t eat as much as I normally do.

Another thing to note was the taste, it was absolutely awesome! I’ve tried literally dozens of protein powders / weight loss drinks over the years, and the majority of them leave you with a nasty aftertaste. I was a little worried at first that I would get the same aftertaste with Bystrictin, but it was actually a very pleasant one. It literally (to me at least) tastes like real chocolate, not some synthetic kind.

Now, of course with any supplement there is almost always a downside, and this of course was the case with me. The only side effect I have to complain about with Bystrictin was I had a gassy/bloated feeling for the first few days of using it. This is very common with protein powders, but in my case it was more so with this one in particular. Other than that I had no other side effects to report of.

Recommendation

As mentioned earlier in my review, I am not an overweight individual, so a protein shake / meal replacement formula is not something that I personally need. However, I have studied and recommended thousands of different weight loss and fat burning supplements to adult men and women over the years, and I can say with 100% confidence that Bystrictin CAN and WILL work for the overweight individual.

When combined with a healthy diet and exercise, I can see someone easily losing 10 – 30 pounds from using this meal replacement formula. Is Bystrictin a “miracle” weight loss breakthrough? No, there really is no miracle out there, despite what alot of diet pill companies will tell you. But, if you are looking for something that can give you an “edge” in your weight loss goals, than I would highly recommend it!

The second guy says he saw increases of 2 inches after just a few weeks, but, if you look at his eyes, doesn’t it look like he’s reading from a cue card?? In fact, in the whole review he doesn’t even look directly into the camera once. Looks very suspicious to me…I couldn’t find this guy on Fiverr, but I am willing to bet he was paid somehow.

The reviews on Amazon looked equally suspicious to me as well. If you look through most of them, often the person leaving the review has ONLY left a review of BoostUltimate, and absolutely nothing else. I find it hard to believe that someone would go through the effort of publicly mentioning how well a male enhancement supplement worked for them on an open forum, but again that’s just me. 🙂

Erousa Review – Was Erousa Recalled?

Their ads called Erousa “the ultimate wingman.” It’s a pretty good slogan actually, the idea being that when you bring Erousa out with you, you’ll always get the girl.

It claimed to increase your libido, get you those thick hard erections that have been eluding you, and help you last well into the night.

But then one day in 2009, something happened and the fate of Erousa was changed forever.

The FDA conducted an inspection of the company that made Erousa.

The company, called Atlas Operations, was the make of several other male enhancement supplements in addition to Erousa.

During this inspection, it was found that in addition to violate several of the “good manufacturing” standards set by FDA approved facilities, Atlas Operations was found to have added an illegal drug ingredient to its supposedly all natural formulas.

One possible clue to the reality of the situation is that Erousa was a fast acting pill.

I don’t mean to say that all fast acting herbal pills are frauds. Far from it.

There are some honest products out there to be sure.

But just as Viagra is a fast acting product, most of the pills that end up being recalled are as well.

It makes sense, seeing as they contain the same or similar ingredients.

ViaGOLD is a fast-acting male enhancement supplement that bills itself as the all natural alternative to prescription erectile dysfunction medications.

This information, and I’m sure much more, used to be available on the ViaGOLD website, but that no longer exists at this point.

The basic idea was that, like the presctiption drugs, ViaGOLD would get you bigger, stronger, longer-lasting erections.

Only ViaGOLD would do it without side effects and potential dangers.

Back when the website was around, it did not reveal the ViaGOLD ingredient list.

We were, however, able to track one down.

It includes components like:

  • L-Argnine which as a precursor to Nitric Oxide increased the flow of blood to your penis during arousal for better erections.
  • Bombyx Mori Extract which increases natural testosterone production.
  • Siberian Ginseng Extract which improves circulation and enhances energy.
  • Cayenne Extract which provides energy.
  • Stinging Nettles Extract which increases free testosterone by binding itself to SHBG (Sex Hormone Binding Globulin).

Instructions are to take ViaGOLD about 30-45 minutes before sexual activity.

Here’s where we abruptly hit a dead end.

ViaGOLD does have a website anymore, nor is it available through any third party retailers that we can find.

We did, however, find a bunch of complaints against ViaGOLD and its manufacturer, so I think you might see where this is going.

For whatever reason, ViaGOLDis no longer being made, and it’s gone from the market.

Potensan is a a sexual enhancement supplement that can be used by both men and women, and either daily or as needed.

In other words, Potensan is a very versatile sexual enhancement supplement.

It’s made in either Norway or Denmark by a company called The Grant BR Import/Export Company.

They offer other supplements for sexual dysfunction, as well as supplements for other issues such as stress relief and smoking cessation.

They are a pretty versatile company in the wide variety of supplements that they provide, but does that mean that their male sexual enhancement supplements are up to snuff?

Men who take Potensan should experience greater sexual readiness at any time, and women will respond in much the same way.

There is a bit of talk about hormone secretion and that taking Potensan regulates and improves this action.

Let’s see if the ingredients can support that talk.

Potensan ReviewPotensan Ingredients and How They Work

The Potensan product page lists the ingredients, but does not give their amounts or any information about how they work.

Luckily, we can fill in some of that information for you.

  • Shepherd’s Purse which is used for controlling blood pressure and relieving menstrual cramps in women.
  • Sarsaparilla which is believed to increase testosterone production in the body.
  • Damiana which is an ancient herbal aphrodisiac that boosts libido.
  • Nutmeg which is thought to be an aphrodisiac as well as an energy booster.
  • Cassia Bark (Cinnamon) which is thought to warm and clear energy channels, leading to greater sexual energy.

Instructions vary based on your gender and some other factors.

Women should take 1 Potensan pill twice per day with a full glass of water.

Results should become apparent in terms of greater sexual appetite within one to two weeks.

Men can take a daily readiness dosage which means 1-2 tablets with water twice a day or an Instant Reaction Dosage which is 5 Potensan tablets taken with a full glass of water about 4-6 hours before sexual activity.

  • Potensan may provide additional health benefits beyond sexual health.

Disadvantages of Potensan

  • It’s very expensive.
  • The ingredient list is weak and full of unfamiliar components.
  • The “fast-acting” method still takes 4-6 hours.

A 60-tablet package sells for $154.50. If you take 2 pills twice a day (on of the recommended dose levels), the 60-count box will last 15 days.That’s awfully expensive, and we didn’t find a money back guarantee either.

Conclusion

The formula looks weak.

But honestly, even if Potensan looked good, I’d have a hard time recommending a product that would cost you over $300 a month to use.For this reason, skip the Potensan.

I have not come across hardly any similar supplements that even come close to that price range, and anything that has pushed over even the $200 mark is usually either useless or so good that it justifies its price tag.

I think you can do better by taking some workout advice from him, but choosing something else besides Afterburn Fuel for your supplementation.
