The universe of male enhancement products is both deep and wide. You’ve got the prescription drugs you take orally, the herbal supplements, the extenders, the pumps, the numbing creams, gels and sprays. You’ve even got the injectibles.
That’s right. There are medicines you can inject into your penis to solve erectile dysfunction problems. And it’s something related to these that we’re going to talk about today.
Befar is a product made by Chinese company NexMed. It’s essentially the same as the injectible erectile dysfunction remedy, Caverject. Only rather than requiring injection, Befaris applied semi-topically. Allow me to explain.
Befar Ingredients and How They Work
The primary active ingredient in Befar is Alprostadil (the same as what’s in Caverject). What it does is open up and widen the blood vessels of the penis, allowing blood to rush in an create an erection. That’s the internal mechanism of action. Now we’ll talk about how to use it.
Befar comes in individually pre-loaded syringe style tube appicators. (Not syringes with needles for administering injections, but syringes like for administering oral medication to a toddler.) About 15 minutes before having sex, you grasp the penis, hold it upright, open up the opening to the urethra, and apply the cream using the applicator. You should continue to hold your penis upright for a good 30 seconds so the cream spreads as it should.
Befar Care and Precautions
There are a number safety and efficacy warnings and procedures you’ll need to note. First of all, you need to keep Befar in the refrigerator if you want it to last. Secondly, the company puts out a statement that you shouldn’t “be alarmed” if you can’t see the cream in the applicator. It’s just that the dose is extremely small.
Befar works with condoms, and in fact, they say it is necessary to use condoms if your partner is pregnant or lactating, or if you will be engaging in oral sex. This is to prevent harm to your partner and/or baby.
There are also some side effects caused by Befar. Some of the common ones are urinary tract pain, redness at the application site, burning, flu symptoms, headaches, and palpitations.
Befar Pros and Cons
Advantages of Befar
It can be an erectile dysfunction solution for anyone who cannot or will not take pills.
The active ingredient has been used to treat erectile dysfunction by injection for years.
It does not require an actual injection.
Disadvantages of Befar
There are potential side effects, including penis pain.
Using it may be uncomfortable for some.
It require a prescription in the US.
It’s expensive.
Befar does nothing for libido or stamina.
Where to Buy
Befar is sold online in many countries. In the US, the main ingredient requires prescription. A single tube (one application) is sold online for about $30-35.
Conclusion
The reason there are all kinds of ways to get erectile dysfunction help is because there are millions of guys who suffer from it, each with his own quirks and needs. If the idea of a “topical suppository” is attractive to you, by all means, talk to your doctor, and see if Befar or something similar is what you should be using.
Note: This is just a review. We are not affiliated with Virectin in any way.
If you’ve spent any time looking into taking a daily supplement for male enhancement, chances are you’ve come across Virectin.
The official Virectin website claims that by adding in this simple supplement to your daily diet, you will find yourself with an array of sexual performance-based benefits including:
Harder, longer-lasting erections.
Increased energy and endurance.
Improved sexual desire.
Greater control over when you ejaculate.
More explosive and intense orgasms.
Bold claims, I know, and really they are not unlike any number of similar male enhancement supplements boasting insane results.
Update!
If you’re looking for a REAL solution to your ED issues, check out a product called Vigrx Plus.
For men, performance in the bedroom is one area that cannot be left to chance.
The research team at Virectin has provided you with a sure fire list of libido boosting ingredients, or at least that’s the impression that is given. Let’s review the ingredients of this product to see if it’s the real deal and worth your time and money.
One of the great features about the Virectin website is that it allows instant access to the list of ingredients used within the product.
You’ll immediately notice the long list of ingredients within the supplement and the reasonable dosage available within each serving.
This is a great initial impression of the product as I’ve run into trouble plenty of times attempting to know what is in a performance enhancing supplement.

Virectin is made up of a supposedly safe proprietary blend of many herbal remedies.
All of which have been used in a number of supplements due to their libido boosting properties.
One of the great things about the product is that it contains no chemically generated compounds, fillers or artificial additives.
Here is the breakdown of what is in Virectin:
Niacin
Otherwise known as Vitamin B3, Niacin plays an important role in a number of human processes including: enhancing the healing process, increasing energy, and dilating the blood vessels. Opening up the blood vessels is important for nutrient delivery and better erections. (Source)
Zinc
Zinc is one of the most important nutrients out there.
Regardless of your reason, you should be taking Zinc on the day-to-day.
When it comes to male performance, Zinc plays a proven role in testosterone production.
Testosterone is a sex hormone, crucial for libido and performance. (Source)
Selenium
A powerful antioxidant that has been suggested to improve sperm quality and quantity. (Source)
Tribulus Terrestris
Although no clinical study has proven the claims of its testosterone boosting effects, Tribulus Terrestris has been shown to improve your libido. (Source) You’ll find Tribulus terrestris in literally 1,000’s of over the counter testosterone boosters and male enhancement products, including Alpha King and Nugenix.
Avena Sativa
Just a fancy name for wild oats, this breakfast classic has been shown in several clinical studies to free up testosterone, allowing your body to utilize more of it. (Source) Again, testosterone plays a very important role in sexual function, performance, and libido.
L-Arginine
Found in many pre-workout supplements, L-Arginine has been shown to increase nitric oxide production to improve blood flow and support your erection. (Source)
Tongkat Ali
One of the few proven testosterone boosters on the market, Tongkat Ali helps to release bound up testosterone, making it available for use by the body. (Source)
Mucuna Pruriens
A tropical legume, Mucuna Pruriens is a natural aphrodisiac and supposed Human Growth Hormone booster. (Source) While the latter is still awaiting clinical trials, the former has been shown to be true.
Fenugreek Extract
One of the most debated supplements on the market, Fenugreek has been reported to provide a number of health benefits for men and women alike.
For women, it can apparently increase your breast size.
Obviously, these two benefits do not mix.
You cannot have one while having the other.
No clinical trials exist to prove either of these claims.
The more you look into Fenugreek, the more you realize many of the benefits are aimed towards women such as improving lactation. While it may be a libido booster, as a man, this is one supplement that I would not be so quick to start taking.
Ginkgo Biloba
A traditional herbal remedy in many Eastern countries, Ginkgo Biloba has been shown to provide energy, increase mental clarity, and a relief from tension. (Source)
Epimedium
Just another name for Horny Goat Weed, Epimedium is taken as a libido booster as it is suggested to increase blood flow to the penis and improve sexual function. (Source)
Saw Palmetto
Saw Palmetto has been used by thousands of men as a natural remedy to relive pressure on the prostate and boost prostate health.
(Source) The problem with Saw Palmetto is that a potential side effect is decreased libido and erectile dysfunction, which are two things you are trying to avoid.
It has also been reported to decrease testosterone production.
Another ingredient that I would not recommend taking unless specifically directed by your doctor.
Maca Root Powder
Known for its energy boosting properties, Maca Root Powder is also an ancient Peruvian aphrodisiac.
Ashwagandha Root
A few studies have reported that Ashwagandha Root has been successful in helpingwith fertility problems in men and women, and helping to increase sexual desire. (Source)
Damiana
A reported aphrodisiac, Damiana is a natural remedy used to cure a number of sexual dysfunctions such as low libido and erectile dysfunction. (Source)
Cnidium Monnieri
This supplement has been shown to enhance the release of nitric oxide.
As we mentioned above, nitric oxide is important for dilating the blood vessels for a better erection. (Source)
The recommended dose is 3 capsules per day on an empty stomach. Click Here to see a photo of the label.
Although the official website claims that there are no side effects due to the natural make-up of the supplement, everyone responds differently when it comes to supplements.
Virectin could cause the following side effects:
Facial flushing
Upset stomach
Diarrhea
Dizziness
Abdominal Discomfort
Anxiety
Other Warnings
Many people cannot take Niacin due to the famous “flush feeling” associated with it.
As powerful as Zinc is, it can also be quite tricky to digest on an empty stomach.
Many people complain of nausea when taking Zinc without food.
Again, although these ingredients are all natural, be sure to thoroughly evaluate the label for any possible complications.
It goes without saying that if you are currently taking any type of prescription medication, it is strongly recommended that you contact your primary care physician to discuss taking Virectin.
This is extremely important if you are on any type of blood pressure medication as Virectin may influence this condition.
While not a side effect, it should be noted that you should not drink alcohol when taking this supplement.
Alcohol may counteract the benefits of Virectin, leaving you right back where you started.
Typically this is caused by a reduction in testosterone levels, which is often associated with chronic alcohol consumption.
Virectin offers an all-natural line-up of ingredients, many of which have been proven to boost libido, increase testosterone, and amplify sexual desire.
No need to take right before sex.
Take it any time of day.
There’s a money back guarantee as I explain below.
Disadvantages
May interact with certain medications
May require the use of Vazogel to optimize effects (According to the Virectin website)
There are many extreme reviews when it comes to Virectin.
On one hand, you have the obviously sponsored testimonials that rave about the product.
For example, this site ranks it 5 out of 5 stars.
Suspiciously enough, if you take a look at the Terms and Conditions of use page for that site, you’ll see that it’s located in India.
Not necessarily a big deal, until you look at another site that rates Virectin as 5 out of 5 stars that looks virtually identical to the one above.
And wouldn’t you know it, they are located in exactly the same city in India.
I see a direct correlation between these 2 sites in various places other than the fact they’re located in the same city and country.
For example, at the very bottom of the page where it says “Where To Find It?”, for both sites you will see the same Virectin coupon code, free pulsating penis ring, and a free ebook titled “Putting A Boost Back In The Bedroom”.
It’s no surprise that each of these reviews look exactly the same.
Even if you look on Amazon, you’ll see that the positive reviews are not verified purchases, causing you to instantly dismiss them.
Then you have the opposite side of the reviews.
The ones claiming extreme side effects to the point that one has to raise an eyebrow.
As you sift through the few middle ground reviews, Virectin suddenly looks to be an average, run of the mill male enhancement supplement.
I’ve had a bottle of Virectin sitting in my closet for the last year or so, and to be honest, I completely forgot about it. I was rummaging through my many boxes of supplements about 2 weeks ago, and sort of stumbled across it.
Since it was within the expiration date range, I decided to give it a go for about a week and I have to say I am a bit UN-impressed.
There were no directions on the label saying how I should take it, but it does say that a starting dose is 3 capsules.
As usual, I started with the lowest possible dose (in this case 1 capsule) to assess my tolerance and limit any side effects (which thankfully there weren’t any).
The first thing I noticed was it took a few days for it to “kick in”, albeit not in a good way.
What were the results?
Well, not much to say the least. I didn’t feel hornier, didn’t notice any effect on size or performance, and certainly didn’t have any effect on premature ejaculation issues.
The official Virectin site calls it the “#1 rated male performance product”, but when I put it to the test, I didn’t see any change in my performance whatsoever.
The only thing I did notice was I had this weird, slight urge like I had to pee all of the time.
I’m not sure if it was the Virectin that was causing it, but frankly it was kind of annoying.
This lasted for a few days, and by the end of the week after not seeing any results I decided to discontinue testing.
As far as comparing Virectin to prescription meds like Viagra / Cialis, unfortunately (but not surprisingly) it came up a bit short in that area.
A lot of guys have been asking me what the similarities and differences are between my top choice, Vigrx Plus, and Virectin, so I figured I’d write this quick blurb.
It doesn’t contain any Niacin, which for me causes redness in my face.
Vigrx Plus took longer to kick in, but the effects were MUCH better.
It contains one KEY ingredient that Virectin doesn’t (more on that later)
Now, Now Vigrx Plus is a bit more expensive than Virectin is, coming in at $77 for a one month supply. That’s obviously not cheap, but the effects in my opinion are worth the price.
They both contain a very similar ingredients profile, but Virectin is missing one ABSOLUTELY key ingredient.
You can purchase Virectin through the official website www.Virectin.com, or Amazon.A single 90-count bottle will last for 30 days and costs $44.95. Discounts are available when you buy multiple bottles at once. Virectin has a 100% guarantee. If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with Virectin, simply return the package within 60 days from the date of your order and receive a full refund.
Simply request a return authorization number and send back your bottles.
3 Reasons It’s NOT Worth Trying
I got virtually no results from it, aside from some minor side effects.
There are literally 100’s of other negative reviews and complaints from TRUSTED 3rd party resources, and the positive Virectin reviews are suspect.
At first glance, Virectin appears to be a decent, comprehensive daily male enhancement supplement.
However, after voluntarily testing it out myself, I’m a bit disappointed to say the least.
I’ve tested probably close to 70 different male enhancement supplements over the years, and I don’t even think I would rank this in my Top 50, if I even had a top 50.
Sure, it’s got all the necessary ingredients that can help with libido, sexual performance, and even premature ejaculation.
But they must be filling had of these capsules up with sugar or other fillers, because I literally didn’t feel anything.
Sometimes, the right ingredients do not necessarily mean the right results as many times manufacturers will load their capsules and tablets with filler that negates any possible good effects.
The price is a little outrageous as well, considering the lack of results.
When you look at Vigrx Plus, you see an insane price tag, especially when stacked up against Virectin.
BUT, at least it works…
This is not the case with Virectin.
Couple this with the fact that there are a TON of piss poor reviews out there, and the lack of CREDIBLE, 3rd party websites that have actually tested the stuff successfully, and we say take a PASS.
ArgiNOx is a male enhancement product that comes to us from the Lin Institute in Boca Raton, FL. We’ve reviewed a couple of their other products previously (PinealTonin comes to mind). According to their website, the husband and wife partnership that is the Lin Institute has been improving the sexual and overall health of its customers since 1997. The website is a bit, shall we say, offbeat, but it does contain sufficient information to be allow us to make educated decisions as to whether or not to purchase their products.
The promise of ArgiNOx is that it will boost your libido and relieve you if you’re experiencing sexual exhaustion. It is said to be good for anyone with high blood pressure and anyone who is looking for a sexual revitalization.
ArgiNOx Ingredients and How They Work
The formula for ArgiNOx looks somewhat like an enhanced multivitamin. It’s got:
B Vitamins
Folic Acid
Vitamin D
Calcium
Magnesium
Zinc
It also includes in the formula several ingredients that boost sexual function. These include:
Tribulus Terrestris and Eurycoma Longifolia for increased testosterone production by the body naturally.
Several amino acids, including two kinds of L-Arginine, L-Ornithine, and L-Citrulline for increasing the amount of Nitric Oxide in the blood. This is a vasodilator so blood flows more freely through the body, including and in this case especially to the penis during arousal for your best erections.
The recommended dose is 1 ArgiNOx tablet taken 2 or 3 times a day on an empty stomach.
ArgiNOx Pros and Cons
Advantages of ArgiNOx
The formula contains several vitamins and minerals for overall health.
There is lots of information on the Lin Institute website.
Disadvantages of ArgiNOx
There is lots of questionable information on the Lin Institute website.
For instance, talk about God and about how masturbation may cause and/or prevent prostate cancer.
There’s no manufacturer money back guarantee.
Where to Buy
You can purchase ArgiNOx through the Lin Institute website or a few third party online retail websites. The 90-count bottle should last a month and costs $45.
Conclusion
In my opinion, the Lin Institute is a bit too goofy to be taken seriously. They make lots of products, and the ingredients in ArgiNOx seem pretty decent, but the way the website is written and organized is just not professional and doesn’t inspire trust. I’d recommend you go with something else for your sexual performance enhancement needs.
The marketing for ExtendZine calls it “the intimacy intensifier for the active man.” This product is made by a company called Big Nutrition. The company has a website, but ExtendZine is not featured there. When we went looking for information about it, we found we had to use what was provided by third party retailers.
What you can expect from using ExtendZine is:
A significant boost in performance ability.
An increase in stamina.
A boost in testosterone levels.
ExtendZine Ingredients and How They Work
There is a long list of active ingredients in the ExtendZineformula.
There are several components that increase the flow of blood to the penis alone. These include Yohimbe, L-Arginine, Ginkgo Biloba, and Epidmedium.
A few of the ingredients work together to boost testosterone. These include Tribulus Terrestris, Zinc, and Magnesium.
There are a few herbal aphrodisiacs, like Macuna Pruriens and Damiana.
Then there’s Saw Palmetto to support prostate health as well.
The recommended dose of ExtendZine is 3 capsules per day, and there is no indication of how long it should take before you start feeling the effects.
ExtendZine Pros and Cons
Looking at both sides of the issue is always a good way to come to the most correct conclusion possible.
Advantages of ExtendZine
It’s affordable.
The ingredients are all natural.
It contains several ingredients geared to improving erections.
Disadvantages of ExtendZine
It contains Yohimbe which has been recommended against by the FDA because of its potential to cause seriously dangerous side effects, especially with long term continued use.
There is no manufacturer guarantee.
ExtendZine is no longer represented on the manufacturer website, so this may indicate that it is no longer being made.
Where to Buy
Currently, there a few third party online retailers that offer a one month supply of ExtendZine for about $20. As I stated above, it’s no longer featured on the Big Nutrition website, so the days of ExtendZine may be numbered.
Conclusion
If it weren’t for the Yohimbe, I would recommend that you give ExtendZine a try. It’s cheap and it has several of the most important components we look for in a male enhancement formula. But given that it does contain Yohimbe, and that it may be no longer being made, I see no need to bother with ExtendZine at this time.

For some guys, erectile dysfunction, or any other sexual dysfunction, may be a result of extreme or long-lasting fatigue more than any other physical issue. It’s for them that we’re taking a look at Vitagenone.
Offered primarily by Herballove Shop, Vitagenone allows you to:
Regain energy and endurance.
Increase mental clarity made fuzzy by fatigue.
Relieve sexual exhaustion.
Encourage the body’s detoxification process.
Reduce emotional fatigue.
Roughly speaking, Vitagenone will give back to your body the energy it’s let slip away.
Vitagenone Ingredients and How They Work
The Vitagenone product information page lists the active ingredients along with a brief description of what they each do:
Astragalus which helps increase the production of red blood cells in bone marrow.
Bupleurem which relieves muscle tension and helps cleanse and detoxify the liver.
Siberian Ginseng which helps regulate stress hormones and has been traditionally used to fight fatigue.
Codonopsis Pilosula which promotes energy and endurance.
White Atractylodes which is a powerfully energy and sex drive booster.
The recommended dose is 2 Vitagenone pills taken twice a day.
Vitagenone Pros and Cons
A quick look at what’s right and what’s not so right about a product is a great way to figure out whether or not it’s right for you.
Advantages of Vitagenone
The ingredients are all-natural.
The formula fights fatigue for sexual and non-sexual purposes alike.
Disadvantages of Vitagenone
There isn’t much in the formula designed specifically to address sexual problems.
You would need 2 bottles a month to take Vitagenone at the recommended dose. That makes it somewhat expensive.
We were unable to find any Vitagenone reviews to let us know what others think of the product.
Where to Buy
You can purchase Vitagenonethrough Herbal Love Shop online. A 60-count bottle, which should last 2 weeks, costs $32.95. You would need 2 bottles for a month’s supply. There is a money back guarantee, but it only applies to unopened packages.
Conclusion
I’m sure there are a lot of guys who could use an herbal supplement to help fight fatigue. But when it comes to Vitagenone, there are just too many unknowns. We don’t really know how it works. We don’t know if other guys find it helpful. And the ingredients we see on the list don’t really address .

BiggerX is a male enhancement supplement that promises to enlarge your penis. But though they do say that once or twice in their marketing, they are mostly very careful to specify that it is really about increasing the size of your erection, not the size of your resting penis. On the other hand, the bottle has the image of a tape measure on the label, so they are definitely attempting to capitalize on the typical male desire for a bigger penis.
There is no official BiggerX website, but the retailers that sell it have all the information we need to make an intelligent decision about whether or not to recommend purchasing it. The promises of BiggerX are fairly standard and include:
Real penis enlargement that lasts even after you stop taking the pills.
Harder, thicker, fuller erections.
Increased confidence.
More strength and endurance.
BiggerX Ingredients and How They Work
Well the first thing we do is look at the formula to see if the ingredients list supports the claims. What we find in BiggerX is:
Yohimbe which increases the flow of blood to the penis.
L-Arginine which accomplishes the same goal through a slightly different mechanism.
Oat Straw, Tribulus, Orchic Substance, and Zinc which all contribute to a boost in natural testosterone levels for increased desire and better performance.
Muira Puama, Maca, and Catuaba Bark which are all natural herbal aphrodisiacs that have been used for centuries.
Several additional herbs that have anecdotally been described as beneficial to your sexual performance.
BiggerX is a daily supplement, and the recommended dose is 2 capsules per day with a meal.
BiggerX Pros and Cons
Advantages of BiggerX
The ingredients are all natural.
It contains most of the male enhancement ingredients we look for.
Disadvantages of BiggerX
There is no official BiggerX website.
BiggerX contains Yohimbe which has been recommended against by the FDA for potentially causing serious side effects like extreme blood pressure changes.
There’s no manufacturer provided money back guarantee.
They make the unfulfillable promise of permanent penis growth.
Where to Buy
You can purchase BiggerX online through a couple of different retailers. A Google search will lead you to them. The 60-count bottle sells for anything from $40 to $50 which is about standard for these products.
Conclusion
The ingredient list for BiggerX is pretty comprehensive. We only have two real problems with this product. First of all, they promise real penis growth that lasts even after you stop taking the pills. Second of all, BiggerX contains Yohimbe, which could be dangerous, especially when taken regularly as per the instructions for this product. After weighing it all out, we’d have to say that buying BiggerXis probably not a good bet.
Vidrin is a little different than most of the male enhancement products we look at here at SupplementCritique.com. Rather than an herbal supplement, Vidrin is a soft tab form of popular prescription erectile dysfunction medications. It is the same medicine as, say, Viagra and Cialis, but it comes in a form that is much more quickly absorbed and usable by the body.
There is a Vidrin website that explains the benefits of using it instead of the original pill forms of the medications. It is there that we found most of our information, and it is presented in a professional and easy to follow manner.
Vidrin Ingredients
One of the key things to remember about Vidrin is that it contains the exact medication you want, just in a different delivery format. What they offer in soft tab form is:
Viagra which has as its main ingredient Sildenafil Citrate.
Cialis which has as its main ingredient Tadalafil.
(The website also sells Levitra, but only in hard pill form because generic Levitra is not yet available.)
How Vidrin Works
The website explains that when you take medication in traditional pill form, it has to travel through the entire digestive system before it is absorbed into the bloodstream where it is needed. Normally, this takes about 60 minutes. But if you’ve just eaten a meal, it could actually take as long as 3 hours. But with a Vidrin soft tab, you take it by placing it under your tongue. From there, the medication directly enters the bloodstream through cell walls, avoiding the digestive system entirely. Instead of an hour, the process typically takes about 20 minutes.
Vidrin Pros and Cons
There are good and bad aspects to all things. Listing them out is an effective way to figure out where you land on the question of whether or not to pursue a purchase.
Advantages of Vidrin
It’s fast acting.
The website is complete and informative.
It’s been clinically tested to work.
Vidrin contains the same ingredients as the original forms of Viagra and Cialis.
There is a money back guarantee.
Disadvantages of Vidrin
A prescription is required.
Vidrin can cause the same side effects and drug interactions as Viagra and Cialis because it’s the same essential medicine.
It’s expensive.
Where to Buy
You can order Vidrin through their official website. You are required to pay an annual “physician’s fee” of $55 on top of the already steep price. For example, a 5-count order of the Vidrinform of Viagra costs $115.35. That’s well over $20 per pill.
Conclusion
It seems like a good thing, but the crazy price tag seems too much to pay for the convenience of the fast acting form. Vidrin may be on to something, but in order to compete, I’d think it would have to lower the price.
Somatomax is a controversial supplement that we’ve been hearing a lot about lately. It’s made by Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals, which has a checkered past of its own which involved several legal battles with the FDA and FTC over using banned and prescription only substances in their products.
Somatomax is something of a hybrid supplement.
It’s an HGH releaser which means that it encourages your body’s production of of HGH, or Human Growth Hormone. HGH is present in high amounts when we’re young, but its production decreases with age. If we can get our bodies to produce more, we’ll burn more fat, feel better, sleep better, and have more energy. So the question is, can Somatomax do this for us.
How Somatomax Works
If you look at Somatomax reviews, you’ll see that it’s used as a sleep aid more than anything else. Most people don’t dispute that it makes them sleep longer and more deeply than without it. Yet there is disagreement about how it makes them feel when they wake up. Some guys say they feel refreshed and ready to go.
Others wake up feeling groggy.
Somatomax Ingredients
Part of the controversy stems from the formula. The primary ingredient is Phenibut, which is an amino acid that resembles GABA, an extremely important neurotransmitter for relieving anxiety. The advantage over GABA (which is also in the Somatomaxformula) is that it can cross the blood brain barrier whereas GABA cannot.
It does this by adding a phenyl ring around the gaba, allowing it to cross the blood brain barrier. I’ve taken many supplements containing phenibut in the past, and can attest to it’s potency and results.
However, there are many dangers to taking Phenibut for a prolonged period of time. Because your body tends to develope a tolerance to it quite rapidly, you need more and more of the stuff to get the same intended results.
After prolonged usage, when you decided to stop taking Somatomax, the body starts to incur a withdrawal period, which can be quite unpleasant. Some of the most notable withdrawal effects when coming off Phenibut include increased anxiety, irritability, panic attacks, mood swings, and insomnia.
You can avoid this by taking this sparingly, about once or twice a week with at least a 3 day break in between.
Additionally, there are a number of amino acids, including L-Arginine, L-Tyrosine, and L-Phenylalanine that cause Somatomax to increase the amount of HGH released by 1600%. Again, this is what makes Somatomax a supplement for improving athletic (and sexual) performance.
How do I take it?
The instructions for taking Somatomax are to mix one heaping scoop with a beverage and drink it before going to bed. There are 20 doses in a tub. There is no clear discussion by the manufacturer about how often you’re supposed to use it. Most of the recommendations we’ve seen from retailers and other users are to use it only occasionally so as not to create a tolerance or the potential for withdrawal symptoms.
One thing that I wanted to note was that products that contain Phenibut, like Somatomax, takes a VERY long time to reach its peak. So, for example, if you plan on going to bed at around 11 pm, you should consider dosing around 6 pm that night.
It can literally take as long as 1 – 2 hours before you feel the initial effects, and upwards of 5 hours before it reaches its peak. Everyone responds to Phenibut differently, so the only way you’ll know for sure is by experimenting yourself.
I would also caution against driving while taking Somatomax, as it does have the ability to make you sleepy / drowsy. Alcohol intensifies this effect, so I would recommend you abstain from alcoholic beverages while using it.
Somatomax Pros and Cons
Advantages of Somatomax
It works. Almost all Somatomax reviews we’ve seen (and there are a lot) state that it helps you get a good night’s sleep.
Disadvantages of Somatomax
There are several stories about how stopping Somatomax causes serious withdrawal symptoms.
If you use Somatomax too often, you’ll build a tolerance very quickly.
Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals has a sketchy reputation.
The benefits and drawbacks of Phenibut have not been sufficiently studied to know whether or not it is safe.
Where to Buy
You can purchase Somatomaxthrough several online supplement retailers. A tub containing 20 servings sells for anywhere from $30 to $40. You used to be able to buy it in retail stores like GNC and Vitamin Shoppe, but they have since discontinued selling it.
Conclusion
There are definitely some benefits you can get from taking Somatomax. It can improve your sleep and your mood, but there isn’t really a whole lot of evidence that it can improve your physical performance. In fact, there are lots of people who use it recreationally. Given all the criticisms about it making you nauseous and it being difficult to come off of, we’d just recommend that you skip Somatomax.
If you are looking for a supplement that is going to be a healthier alternative to its prescription counterparts, then I would say that you are not going to get that with Somatomax.
It has enough potential for bad side effects to warrant taking a look into some of the other options out there.
The origins of OnRUSH Rx make for an interesting story, but I suspect it’s actually not that unique. A man named Sam Hanna began hearing from several of his friends about how natural erectile dysfunction supplements just weren’t working out for them. So Sam, having an entrepreneurial nature, set out to create one that would. He proceeded to spend thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours creating his masterpiece – OnRUSH Rx. Interestingly enough, the end of the story is probably even more common than the beginning. OnRUSH Rx is no longer available on the first run market. You can only get it now through websites like eBay.
OnRUSH Rx was billed as a fast-acting male enhancement supplement, the kind that you take about an hour before sexual activity. It claimed to work in under an hour and last up to 36. The kinds of benefits you could expect were harder, thicker erections, increased libido, improved stamina and energy, an end to premature ejaculation, and better kidney functioning.
OnRUSH Rx Ingredients and How They Work
Without a functioning OnRUSH Rx website, the ingredient information we get cannot be verified. We have no reason to expect that it’s inaccurate, but we just can’t guarantee that it’s not. What we found to be included is:
L-Arginine and Epimedium for improved blood flow through the mechanism of increased nitric oxide.
Tribulus Terrestris, Zinc, Tongkat Ali, Orchic Substance, and Oat Straw to increase free testosterone levels for improved erections and performance.
Maca, Muira Puama, Catuaba Bark, and Oyster Extract to increase sex drive.
Pumpkin Seed and Nettle to improve prostate functioning.
We found contradictory instructions in our research, so it is unclear if you should take 2 OnRUSH Rxcapsules daily or just when preparing to have sex.
OnRUSH Rx Pros and Cons
Advantages of OnRUSH Rx
The formula is fairly complete, though we don’t know how much of each ingredient is present.
The ingredients are all natural.
Disadvantages of OnRUSH Rx
OnRUSH Rx is not directly available anymore.
Instructions on how to use it are unclear.
If you can find it, it’s expensive.
Where to Buy
The only place we were able to find OnRUSH Rx is on eBay for over $100 a bottle. While we can’t find an explanation, Sam Hanna seems to have given up on making it.
Conclusion
The life of OnRUSH Rxas a male enhancement supplement was short. It began in 2011 and was over within 2 years. Like we said in the beginning, these stories are common. That’s why you need to keep coming here to check out any supplement you hear about. We’ll tell you the straight story.
Invigo is a male enhancement formula made by an Indian company called Herbz International. The company and product are based around the ancient Ayurvedic principles that you can remedy most maladies by treating them holistically using what nature has provided. The focus of all healing must be on the root cause, not the symptoms.
With that in mind, what Invigo can do is permanently alleviate erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, lack of sexual energy, and low sperm count. The herbal ingredients have all been chosen with the goal of treating the body, not just the condition. The Invigo and Herbz International belief is that all this can be accomplished if you treat the body as a whole.
Invigo is presented on an official website which provides a complete complement of information you can use to determine whether or not Invigo is for you.
Invigo Ingredients and How They Work
Each ingredient has a specific function that is only fully realized once they are all put together. The formula includes
Musli which addresses erectile dysfunction.
Mucuna Pruriens which increases sperm count and increases positive feelings
Myristica Fragrans which improves upon premature ejaculation.
Ashwagandha which has a calming effect.
Emblica Officianalis which increases blood flow.
Jatiphala which prevents certain excretions of bodily fluid which helps prevent premature ejaculation.
The recommended dose is 2 Invigocapsules daily. You can load up at first if you want quicker results. This would entail taking 4 pills a day for about 4 or 5 days. You don’t have to cycle Invigo on and off. You can continue to take it at the recommended dose indefinitely.
Invigo Pros and Cons
Advantages of Invigo
The ingredients are all natural.
According to the website Invigo has been clinically proven to work in 80% of men.
It attempts to address the issue on a whole rather than just symptoms.
Disadvantages of Invigo
We found no indication that there’s a money back guarantee.
The formula does not contain L-Arginine which is the most commonly used natural blood flow enhancement.
The full ingredient list is not provided.
Where to Buy
You can purchase it through the official Invigowebsite. A one month supply sells for $48. There does not seem to be a money back guarantee or a discount for purchasing multiple bottles at once.
Conclusion
While the idea or treating the whole person rather than just the specific symptom is a nice ideal, we’re not sure Invigo is the place to start along that path. The ingredient list is nothing very special and there is no money back guarantee. Perhaps the Herbz International should have included customer service in their holistic approach.
As the supplement junkie that you pretty much know me as, I’ve always been intrigued with trying out new categories of supplements.
One recent category of supplements that I’ve had a chance to try out here on Supplement Critique are called Nootropics.
Basically, nootropics are healthy all-natural alternatives to prescription medications, and are used to help give you more motivation, enhance speech, and overall just help you get more work done.
The latest supplement in this category that I had a chance to try out is called AllerADD, which is a memory and cognition supplement used to help you achieve healthy focus and memory.
The makers of the supplement actually contacted me to try it out and I happily obliged.
Just as a disclaimer, I am in no way associated or affiliated with this company.
I am simply a guy who is trying out their product, and was NOT paid to do this review.
What is AllerADD?
Made up of a proprietary formula including vitamin D, Dyson, vitamin B6, and vitamin B12, AllerADD is intended to help elevate mental performance for men and women looking to get ahead in school or in the business world.
After little bit of research, it looks like the primary ingredients other than the ones listed above are caffeine, GABA, DMAE, and L tyrosine. I would say that one serving contains about as much caffeine as a cup of coffee, which is good because it WON’T give you the jitters.
Without getting into the nitty-gritty scientific details of these ingredients, I will attempt to summarize their benefits pertaining to AllerADD usage.
Caffeine, I think the benefits are obvious.
GABA, although not yet scientifically proven, has been sold as a supplement to help promote calmness.
This obviously would help if you are trying to focus on something, as anxiety is a chief manipulator of focus.
DMAE has actually been researched for the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, but the results have been inconclusive so far.
However some short-term studies have suggested that you can become more alert from taking it, and even enhance your mood.
Where can you buy AllerADD?
As of this review, AllerADD is only available on their official website. As nootropics are a fairly new category of supplement, most major retailers have been hesitant to take them on until more research has been established.
We will update this review if it becomes available stores.
Pros of AllerADD
contains healthy, all-natural ingredients
no harsh side effects from what I can tell
helps improve productivity
helps increase mental cognition and performance
priced fairly
free shipping
very informative website
manufactured in a CGMP compliant facility
Con’s of AllerADD
not available in stores
very few reviews online (third-party websites)
note Dr. reviews or testimonials
not intended for those under the age of 18
My results with AllerADD
I have only taken a handful of these types of supplements before, so I don’t have too much to compare it to, but I will say that I had very positive results with this product.
It seemed to start working within about 30 minutes, and I noticed that I was getting a lot more done just felt overall more productive.
After speaking with the president and founder of AllerADD, it appears that the supplement is most effective when taken on a daily basis.
One thing I did notice is that AllerADD also came on fairly gradually, without some ridiculous head rush or come down. As opposed to many of the other Nootropics that I have tried, it gave me a nice smooth feeling, which left me motivated to work for at least four or five hours with only stopping for a couple of small breaks.
I also noticed a rather nice increase in my mood, but then again I’ve always been a pretty happy guy 🙂
Recommendation
If you are looking for something to help enhance your productivity at work or in the classroom, I think AllerADD could be a very good choice.
Not only does it combine healthy, all-natural ingredients, but it’s price point fits most people’s budgets.
They are actually giving away a free one month trial to prove to you that it is a works, including free shipping. Check out their site at Alleradd.com to learn more.
Get six pack abs in just one month with these two muscle supplements that celebrities use”.
That’s the ad that I just came across while browsing on Facebook. Have you seen it as well?
Well, these ads are popping up all over the place and there seems to be a new one posted everyday.
Apparently, some celebrities have been using some secret combination of supplements that help to get them ripped.
And all of a sudden they want to release this info to the general public.
Click Here to skip to my personal review and results from taking 1285 muscle.
Apparently, staff reporter Brian Stevens has investigated this weird muscle solution that is quickly becoming popular around the world.
Celebrities like Daniel Craig and Gerard Butler have lost count of body fat while using these two products.
The editor of this supposedly Men’s Life and Health article goes on to establish his results over a four-week time..
In the first seven days, he says that he gained 3 pounds lean muscle mass.
After just two weeks he had more energy and was sleeping more selling than ever.
By the end of this test, he says that he gained an unbelievable amount of muscle up to 16 pounds.
But, of course, he couldn’t have done it without 1285 muscle and X and recovery.
What is 1285 muscle and XM recovery?
He goes on to say that these products not only build lean muscle mass, but also flush out toxins out of the body.
They even say that 1285 muscle and XM recovery have actually been featured in ESPN magazine, although we couldn’t find any evidence of that.
1285 muscle has apparently been clinically proven to enhance athletic performance, pump more blood into the muscles, and deliver nutrients to muscles at a faster rate.
Initially, I thought that 1285 muscle would contain L Argentine, but was surprised when I found out it didn’t.
According to the proxy official website, it contains calcium, Foley, else, vitamin C, lovage, and L citrulline.
L taurine and L citrulline are both nonessential amino acids, and are often found in many of the foods that we.
We all know that calcium helps build strong bones, but it does so more likely in the development stage of growth, and not as much when you are in your 20s and 30s.
Folate is just a fancy term for vitamin B12, which is supposed to help repair cells.
XM recovery on the other hand has been proven to increase the number of calories burned, fight free radical damage, and help to increase energy and fight the peak. Otherwise known as extreme muscle recovery, this formula supposedly helps you recover faster from your workouts to help build lean muscle.
It’s actually an HGH supplement, and claims it has results within just a few weeks of starting it.
Unlike 1285 muscle, finding the ingredients and XM recovery was a bit of a mystery.
Undoubtedly, it probably contains some other sorts of branched-chain amino acids.
I tried searching for a picture of the label, but came up short.
Just like 1285 muscle, it does not appear to be sold in stores like GNC, vitamin Shoppe, or Walmart.
So what’s the catch?
Will The Real Bryan Stevens Please Stand Up
The first thing that we noticed was that there is actually no Men’s life and health magazine, that was the first red flag.
As a matter fact, if you try and click on some of the other links on this editorial they all go to the 1285 muscle or XM recovery pages. Don’t believe me?
Click on the login, subscribe, or any of the social sharing icons at the top of the page. Does anything happen?
I didn’t think so.
Second, Brian Stevens, as a writer, doesn’t exist… At least not on paper.
The second thing I noticed was, that this is clearly an advertisement.
And it says so right at the top of the page if you look very, very closely.
Another thing I noticed was that they had said that their products have, other than ESPN, been seen in such numerous publications like Maxim magazine, Playboy, and men’s health. But when I searched these products website, and even emailed some of their editors, they have never heard of them.
Go figure.
Free Trial Scam
What really is the kicker here is the free trials of 1285 muscle and XM recovery.
You see, these are really just free trials, not free samples like they would lead you to believe.
I know this, because I actually ordered 1285 muscle. Click here to read my review.
What they essentially do is charge you about 14 days after you place your order for the product, usually in the area of around $80 EACH!What’s worse is they actually put you into what’s called an auto rebill program, where they charge you every 30 days for the product and keep sending it until you cancel.
Sure, you can send the product back whenever you want to but there is a $15 restocking fee per unit returned, not to mention the cost of shipping. My question is, why do they even make you send it back if it was free in the first place?
Check Out My Video Review of 1285 Muscle
So will 1285 muscle and XM recovery really work?
Most likely not.
They’re deceptive marketing practices are obviously out to separate you from your money.
We’ve seen this scam time and time again, but it never ceases to amaze me how often these products names get changed up.
They basically keep doing the same thing but they change up the name of the product.
They will even register the product in a different country, making it impossible to track down those responsible.
Sometimes I feel like I’m beating a dead horse went right these articles, simply because there are so many of these combo scams floating around on the Internet.
I figure that if I can just save a couple of guys, then it might be all worth it.
Hopefully you will heed my advice and either cancel your order, or just not even order it at all.
Testerex is a male enhancement supplement made by a company called Gero Vita International. They make all kinds of dietary supplements for a number of different ailments. Testerex is their product to address erectile dysfunction and poor sexual performance. But you won’t find Testerex on the Gero Vita website. That’s because some time ago, the company was charged with making false promises about some of their products, and Testerex was one of them. For a long time, Testerex was still available through third party retailers. This is seeming to be less and less the case.
From what we can tell, Testerex made many of the same promises all the male enhancement supplements make – that you’ll achieve thicker, harder, longer erections and be able to please your partner with them for hours due to your new found stamina.
Testerex Ingredients and How They Work
Despite misleading promises, there is a Testerex formula, and it’s designed to enhance your sexual experience. What it uses is:
Yohimbe to increase the flow of blood to the penis during erections and decrease the flow back out against. This way you can achieve and maintain your hard erection.
Muira Puama to improve your libido.
It’s an ancient herbal aphrodisiac that’s been used to rev up sex drives for centuries.
Orchic Substance and Oyster Meat which both help increase testosterone levels. Increased testosterone levels means both better erections and better drive and performance.
The recommended dose is 2 to 3 capsules per day, every day.
Testerex Pros and Cons
Advantages of Testerex
It contains ingredients that may improve erections.
Disadvantages of Testerex
The company that makes Testerex was fined for false advertising which led to the demise of Testerex.
It contains Yohimbe which has been recommended against by the FDA for causing dangerous side effects in some people. These side effects include extreme changes in blood pressure as well as nausea and heart palpitations. It can be especially dangerous when taken every day as would be the case with Testerex.
Availability is very limited.
Where to Buy
We were unable to locate a source for purchasing Testerex. When it was available, a month’s supply was selling for $39.95.
Conclusion
Apparently, the company behind Testerex was big player in the direct mail marketing world throughout the 1980s and 1990s. They preyed on older folks by disguising their advertising mailings as informational magazines. In the end, the FTC caught up to them, and it would appear that Testerex was a casualty of the fallout.
Check out my Nitrocut review, a supplement that uses an ingredient called L-Arginine which helps to relax the smooth muscle tissue, allowing for increased blood flow.
Cardiac Muscles
Cardiac muscle serves one purpose – to make the heart contract and pump blood throughout the body.
As a matter of fact, cardiac muscles makes the heart beat about 100,000 times per day.
Cardiac muscles contracts rhythmically and automatically and is essential to life.
The structure of cardiac muscle looks different than both skeletal muscle and smooth muscle.
The human body functions like a complex machine working towards the completion of an important task. In order for the human body to get everything done perfectly, it has to rely on a system.
In fact, the body consists of several major organ systems that work in tandem to create a complex organism. These organ systems include the cardiovascular, digestive, integumentary, lymphatic, musculoskeletal, nervous, endocrine, respiratory, excretory, and reproductive systems.
Each of these systems has parts that make them function smoothly, even if they are not directly involved in the system.
In addition, several of the body’s systems are connected to major organs while others are not. Some of the organ systems take precedence over others, such as the cardiovascular system, making them very important role players in the overall organization of the human body.
However, the human body relies on each of these systems to live.
Without our bodies, we wouldn’t be able to talk, sit, stand, run, or play. Our sensory abilities would stunt our everyday enjoyment.
Imagine not being able to speak to your friends, taste your favorite food, listen to your favorite band, or dance or play sports. The nervous system make all of these exhilarating life experiences possible by processing signals from our nerves, through our spinal cord, and to the brain and back again.
The circulatory system transports nutrients and molecules to cells and tissues throughout the body.
The digestive system helps to distribute those nutrients by breaking down food molecules that will nourish and energize the body. Our respiratory system provides the body with oxygen molecules inhaled from the outside environment.
The human body also has active organ systems that help protect it from the outside world.
For instance, the integumentary system protects the body’s organs from damage, stores fat, and vitamins and produces hormones through the skin. The skin gives us our beauty and complexion while also eliminating toxins through our pores.
The musculoskeletal system gives the human body its’ shape and form while also providing movement in the environment. If we never had muscles or a skeleton, our bodies would simply fall into a huge pile of organic “goo.”
The endocrine system helps to provide growth and maintain homeostasis within the body.
It helps produce hormones that make our bodies grow and thrive. The lymphatic or immune system defends the human body from harmful “invaders,” such as toxins, free radicals, heavy metals, and pathogens. If our lymphatic system fails, then we can become victims to illness and disease.
Our excretory system allows the human body to rid of byproducts through the intestinal or urinary tracts. This is very important because our bodies cannot handle excess foreign “invaders.”
Lastly, our reproductive systems allow us to procreate. Both male and females have their own reproductive organs. When both come together, they create offspring that carry a mixture of their own genetics.
As you can see, these systems are vitally important for the continuation of the human body.
Follow these resources to learn more about the intricate parts of the human body, including the cardiovascular, digestive, integumentary, lymphatic, musculoskeletal, nervous, and reproductive systems:
MyoSex is a male enhancement supplement made by a company called MyoPharma. MyoPharma makes several other products as well, mainly aimed at the bodybuilding/healthy lifestyle crowd. In fact, the company has an official website where they display and sell each of their products, but MyoSex is not listed there. My guess is that it doesn’t fit in with the rest of their product line, so they market it separately.
MyoSex is a take-as-needed supplement. Instead of taking it every day to be ready whenever the mood strikes, you simply take it about 30 minutes to an hour before sexual activity so you’re ready then. The goal is increased blood flow for harder, thicker, longer lasting erections, improved sex drive, and enhanced stamina. In order to see if MyoSex reaches that goal, we’ll take a look at the formula.
MyoSex Ingredients and How They Work
Luckily, even though MyoSex isn’t presented on the MyoPharma website, the retailers that sell it do provide ingredient information. The formula includes:
Testofen which increases the body’s own natural testosterone production.
Ginseng which improves blood flow throughout the body and provides energy and stamina.
Cnidium Monnier Extract which is an herbal aphrodisiac.
Epimedium Extract which improves blood flow to the penis.
Yohimbe Extract which is one of the most effective ways to increase blood flow to the penis, but also may cause dangerous side effects like drastic blood pressure fluctuations and heart palpitations.
L-Arginine which is the most popular way to naturally increase blood flow to the penis.
GABA which relaxes the body and eases tension
Bioperine which improves the absorption rate of the other ingredients so they get to work faster and better.
Instructions are to take 1 or 2 MyoSex capsules about 30 minutes prior to sexual activity. You shouldn’t take more than 2 capsules within a 24 hour period.
MyoSex Pros and Cons
Advantages of MyoSex
No commitment is required.
You can buy it quite cheaply.
Disadvantages of MyoSex
It doesn’t seem to be supported by the manufacturer.
We’re not aware of an available money back guarantee.
It contains Yohimbe which may cause dangerous side effects and has been recommended against by the FDA.
The MyoSex reviews from customers we were able to find were almost all very negative.
Where to Buy
Though MyoSex is not presented on the MyoPharma website, it is available through some third party retailers. The price varies a great deal. We’ve seen it selling for as much as $30 and as little as $7.
Conclusion
Though the extremely low price point makes it tempting to try, our opinion is that you won’t gain much benefit from using MyoSex. The formula is on the weak side and it includes Yohimbe which we’d advise you to stay away from.
We can’t tell you how many male enhancement products we’ve seen come and go over the years. Suffice it to say the number is huge. It seems like every day a new option comes in and an old one goes out. Recently, I had a reader ask me to look into a product he saw a commercial for on YouTube.
The product was called Hightenz, and by the time I got to it two weeks later, the product was off the market. That’s literally how fast things change in this world.
But I’d been asked to check it out, so I did. Sometimes, products go off the market, but they’re still floating around out there on the after-market, so guys may still find themselves with an opportunity to buy it. For that reason, I go ahead and make an assessment for you, in case you end up in that position.
Hightenz is a topical male enhancement formula with a primary function of prolonging your erections and preventing premature ejaculation. There a lots of creams and lotions that do that. The hook for Hightenz is that it also improves your sex drive and erection quality, making it an all around topical male enhancement product.
Hightenz Ingredients and How They Work
The premature ejaculation side of the equation is pretty straightforward. The primary ingredient serving that function is Lidocaine, which is the same or similar to most other delay sprays we’ve seen. Lidocaine is a mild local anesthetic that your dentist probably uses to prep your gums for a shot of Novacaine.
For the enhancement side of things, Hightenz uses L-Arginine, Ginseng, and Avena Sativa. L-Arginine increases the flow of blood to your penis for harder erections, Ginseng helps that increased blood flow along and provides energy, and Avena Sativa helps increase the amount of free testosterone in your body.
Instructions are to apply Hightenz directly to your penis just before sexual activity. It should start to work immediately.
Hightenz Pros and Cons
Advantages of Hightenz
It combines help for premature ejaculation with a bit of performance enhancement.
It requires no commitment. You just use it when you want.
Disadvantages of Hightenz
It’s expensive.
It may numb more than you want it too (like your partner for instance).
It has been discontinued and the website no longer exists.
Where to Buy
We haven’t been able to locate a source for Hightenz. When it was available, the cost of a full size bottle with 30 uses was $39.99. They also had a less expensive trial size and an autoship program available.
Conclusion
Hightenz was definitely one of the more expensive delay creams we’ve seen, and this is probably because of the additional performance benefit it provided. For whatever reason, Hightenz is no longer available, and we don’t see it as so special that it should cause a person any great disappointment.
In addition to bodybuilding supplements, we often review male enhancement supplements at this site. Today’s entry falls into neither category, but we thought it was important nevertheless. Today’s product is called Zilex, and it’s a female enhancement supplement made by a company called Novacare. At least it used to be.
Zilex was marketed as a take as needed sexual enhancement supplement made for women – kind of like Viagra for women, only with herbal ingredients instead of chemical ones.
It claimed that by taking Zilex, a women would feel better, have more energy, feel more sexually charged, and be more sensitive to sexual stimulation. It was available for sale through many third party retailers.
Zilex Ingredients and How They Work
The listed ingredients in the Zilex formula were divided up into complexes. There were the:
Vitality Complex with aphrodisiacs like Damiana and testosterone boosters like Avena Sativa.
Nitric Oxide Boosting Complex with L-Arginine and other amino acids.
SuperGreens Powerblend with Wheatgrass, Spinach, Kelp, Spirulina, and Alfalfa.
Women were instructed to take 1 or 2 Zilexcapsules with a large glass of water about 45 minutes prior to sexual activity.
Zilex Recall
The problem was that Zilex also contained an undisclosed ingredient – a derivative of Sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra. Sildenafil is a prescription drug and is not allowed to be in over the counter herbal supplements. Because of its potential for side effects and for serious complications, it has to be administered under the guidance of a doctor.
Including undisclosed ingredients in a supplement is a serious offense, and Novacare was apparently doing it with a number of its supplements, marketed to both men and women. At the end of 2010, the FDA conducted a random investigation and found out that this was happening. At that time, Zilex was recalled.
Zilex Pros and Cons
Advantages of Zilex
It was one of the relatively few sexual enhancement supplements marketed to women.
Disadvantages of Zilex
It contained undisclosed, potentially dangerous ingredients.
It’s been recalled.
Where to Buy
Zilex is no longer available.
Conclusion
The reason we included this review of a Zilex, female enhancement supplement is to highlight the fact that women are not exempt from being duped by these supplement companies. That’s why we need to do our due diligence to ensure we’re taking safe, effective supplements.
With Vigralis, it’s all about the blood flow. I have to say of all the male enhancement products of seen and tried, this may be the most directly associated with Viagra that I’ve seen. What I mean by that is that like Viagra, Vigralis is a pill that you take shortly before you anticipate sexual activity, and it improves your erection quality. It’s not a daily supplement to improve your overall sexual and reproductive health. It’s very simply an erection booster, like Viagra. Now, the real question is whether or not it works as well as Viagra.
Vigralis is also known as Bigralis. Apparently the two products are one in the same. I was not able to find a discussion or why that is, so we’ll just leave it at that.
The promise of Vigralis is that by taking it shortly before sex, you’ll arrive with a thicker, stronger, fuller-feeling erection that lasts and lasts. In fact, the effects of Vigralis can last all weekend.
Vigralis Ingredients and How They Work
The full ingredient list for Vigralis is provided by several of the retailers that offer the product for sale. It includes:
Epimedium Extract which improves blood flow to the penis in much the same way that Viagra does.
Cnidium Monnier which is an herbal aphrodisiac.
Ginseng which improves circulation throughout the body.
L-Arginine which improves erections by increasing the production of nitric oxide in the body.
Nitric oxide improves blood flow by relaxing blood vessels as well as the corpus cavernosa, or penile cavity, walls.
Fenugreek Seed Extract which increases testosterone levels.
The recommended dose is one Vigralis capsule about an hour before sexual activity. You can take two if you feel you need it, but you are instructed not to take more than 2 within a 24 hour period.
Vigralis Pros and Cons
Advantages of Vigralis
The ingredients are all natural.
There’s no commitment required.
You only take Vigralis when you need it.
Vigralis is reasonably priced.
Disadvantages of Vigralis
Vigralissays there are no side effects, but cautions against using it if you have high blood pressure or heart problems, or take certain medications.
There is no money back guarantee.
Where to Buy
Vigralis is available online through a number of supplement retailers. The 12 count bottle sells for $39.95, though prices vary so you may want to look around.
Conclusion
The Vigralis formula doesn’t really seem like anything special. Then when you consider the warnings and the fact that there is no money back guarantee, I don’t see a reason to recommend Vigralis. There are other options, and I say you should go with one of those.
While most male enhancement products come in pill or capsule form, a few take a different route. Optipatch is one of those few, and as the name would suggest, it takes the form of a transdermal patch. You apply a patch to your arm, abdomen, buttocks, or any part of your body other than your genitals, and the potent herbs are absorbed into your blood stream through your skin. It’s a great way to take your medicine without having to actually take your medicine.
Optipatch promises to not only enhance your erections and sexual performance, but to also increase the size of your penis. (If you’ve read some of my other reviews, you’ll know this is a huge red flag for me. No pill or patch will grow your penis. They can help you have bigger, harder erections, but they can’t make your penis bigger permanently which is what some of these products – including Optipatch – claim.) But we’ll continue on because Optipatch may indeed have some value as a male performance enhancement product.
Optipatch Ingredient and How They Work
Optipatch contains many of the same ingredients as oral male enhancement supplements. They include:
Ginseng which improve blood flow, energy, and overall health and well being.
Yohimbe which has been proven to improve blood flow to the penis for better erections. Unfortunately it’s also been shown to potentially cause dangerous cardiovascular side effects including a drastic drop in blood pressure.
Damiana which is an ancient herbal aphrodisiac.
Saw Palmetto which supports prostate health for better overall reproductive health.
You should apply the Optipatch to a fresh spot on your skin every 3 days, removing and discarding the old one. The transdermal system has been shown to be 15% more efficient than oral supplementation.
Optipatch Pros and Cons
Advantages of Optipatch
The patch system may be more convenient for some who don’t like to take pills or cannot remember to.
It’s got effective ingredients.
There are customer testimonials available.
Disadvantages of Optipatch
It contains Yohimbe which may be dangerous, especially for long term use.
Optipatch appears to have been discontinued, so it may no longer be available.
Where to Buy
Optipatch was one of the original transdermal male enhancement patches. It used to be sold through its product website. This website is no longer active or accessible, and we have been unable to locate another source at this time.
Conclusion
The idea of a male enhancement patch is good one for anyone who doesn’t like to take pills or likes the convenience of only having to think about it every 3 days. Our problem with Optipatchis not that it’s a patch. It’s that it contains Yohimbe which could be dangerous for some guys. That and the fact that they promised penis enlargement of course.
Well, none of this matters at this point because Optipatch is not currently available anyway.
