If you haven’t at least heard a little buzz about Deer Antler Velvet spray and how it may or may not increase your muscle gains, you’re no doubt living under a rock.

But with all the hyped up useless products out there, and all the snake oil salesmen trying to sell them to you, you might want to stay put under your rock.

But if you have heard of deer antler velvet and/or you’re curious about it, read on.

Special Note:The makers of Jacked Antler were kind enough to send over a couple bottles of their product for re-testing.

I plan on trying it out in about a week, and will be updating this review in the near future with my re-assessment of its effectiveness.

Be sure to check back soon for updates!

1. What Is Jacked Antler?

jacked antler reviewJacked Antler is a spray containing, among other things, deer antler velvet.

Supposedly, there’s a certain chemical found in the fuzzy outer covering of a male deer’s antlers when they’re growing that when taken by humans can:

  • Increase strength.
  • Boost your power and drive.
  • Improve your post workout recovery.
  • Promote fat loss.
  • Bolster your athletic energy and endurance.

2. Who’s Using Jacked Antler?

If you believe what you read on the Jacked Antler website, professional athletes and their coaches swear by the stuff, as do both male and female celebrities.

They claim to send care packages containing Jacked Antler to famous athletes and other celebrities, hoping they’ll receive a ringing endorsement back.

I don’t know if I’d advertise that program.

If they’re sending this out for free, and nobody’s coming forward to endorse it, that’s not a good sign that Jacked Antler is anything to write home about.

3. How Does Jacked Antler Work?

IGF-1 (Insulin Growth Factor-1) is the key component to the success of Jacked Antler.

IGF is found naturally in the human body.

It encourages growth and repair while it controls several cell processes.

The IGF-1 in Jacked Antler is a chain of amino acids that stimulates muscle growth while protecting your organs and regenerating tissue.

It’s not exactly HGH, but it’s close.

It acts somewhat like a precursor to HGH.

Why Not Just Take HGH?

HGH, or human growth hormone, is becoming all the rage in anti-aging for the rich and famous.

It’s naturally secreted by the pituitary gland, but much like Testosterone, your body releases less and less of it as you age.

It’s been found that increasing the amount of HGH in your body can smooth wrinkled skin, provide energy, help you get a better night’s sleep, quicken the pace of recovery after workouts and injuries, and even improve your mood.

If you have enough money as well as access to the right doctors, you can get daily HGH injections to achieve all the above mentioned benefits.

Last I checked, it can cost upwards of $1000 a month, and it’s technically not approved for this kind of use. Most doctors won’t prescribe HGH injections for adults trying to stay young.

4. Jacked Antler Ingredients

So ordinary, everyday people turn to a supplement like Jacked Antler to reach that point of increased HGH the safer, less expensive way.

When researching the Jacked Antler formula, we came across a discrepancy, which leaves us unsure of what’s actually included.

The official website displays an image of the “Supplement Facts” presumably taken from the bottle label.

But the website separately offers a completely different list as well, leaving us confused about what’s really in the formula.

According to the Supplement Facts, Jacked Antlercontains:

  • Deer Antler Velvet Extract which contains IGF-1 to promote the natural production of IGF and restore lost power.
  • Rhodiola Rosea which helps the body respond appropriately in times of stress (such as during and after a workout.)
  • L-Theanine which is an amino acid that helps keep you calm in times of stress.
  • Green Tea Extract which functions as an antioxidant to help prevent cell damage.

It also provides energy and has fat burning abilities.
  • Tribulus Terrestris which may boost both energy and testosterone.

That’s what’s listed on what appears to be the Jacked Antler label.

But as part of the promotional part of the website, several other ingredients are listed alongside their purported benefits.

There’s:

  • Epimedium which they say boosts energy and reduces fatigue.
  • L-Argninie which they reduces mental and physical stress and improves cognition.
  • Eurycoma Longifoia which they say improves mental and physical performance and fights against depression.
  • Stevia which they say in addition to its function as a sweetener, boosts your immune system and protects your heart.

Luckily, I have a bottle here that I had sent to me. Here’s a photo of the label:

5. How To Use Jacked Antler

The recommended dose is 5 sprays taken both before and after your workout.

It’s expected that you see the best results after about 4 weeks, but you’ll start seeing some effect in just 3 or 4 days.

6. Where to Buy

At this point, the only way to purchase Jacked Antler is through their official website.

They do, however, offer a few different package options.

You can purchase one bottle (about a month’s supply) for $82.45. You can buy 3 bottles for $149.95. That basically works out to getting 3 for about the price of 2.

The third option is the free trial offer. The way it works is that you order a full size bottle and pay only $4.95 in shipping charges. From that moment, you have 20 days to contact Jacked Antler at 1-888-7939 and cancel your subscription.

If you don’t cancel, they’ll bill you $82.45 for your trial bottle, and they’ll automatically enroll you in their VIP Program, meaning that you’ll be sent and billed for a new bottle each month.

7. Free Trial Scam

This is commonly known as the “Free Trial Scam.” I can’t even begin to tell you how many readers I hear from every day who’ve fallen prey to this kind of scam.Usually, the terms are hidden on a separate web page, or written in superfine print, basically designed to be missed.

Jacked Antler is actually a little better than some others I’ve seen. At least they offer you options.

If you don’t want to get caught up in the free trial madness, you can simply order a one month “Starter Package” bottle, and you won’t be on the hook for anything else.

8. Pros and Cons

Advantages of Jacked Antler

  • It’s easy to take.

If you can’t take pills or just don’t like to, Jacked Antler is great because it’s a spray.
  • The free trial scam isn’t as bad as others I’ve seen.

Disadvantages of Jacked Antler

  • Deer Antler Velvet has not been proven to do what Jacked Antler says it does.

IGF-1 is the active ingredient, but as far as we know at this point, IGF-1 is very unstable, so it’s highly unlikely that you’re getting its benefits from this spray.
  • There’s conflicting ingredient information on the website. This is highly unprofessional.

I have to wonder why anyone would choose to do business with a company that leaves such a glaring error up on their website for all to see.
  • It’s expensive.
  • There are no independent Jacked Antler reviews from customers who’ve used it and had success.

9. Conclusion

People are excited about deer antler velvet in general because it’s an idea that does show some promise.

Unfortunately, at this point, it’s not really been shown to be effective, and Jacked Antler doesn’t instill confidence as a product.

It seems as though their marketing was yet another case of all bark and no bite, yet I must say that everyone is different and it could potentially be useful for you personally.

Some of the information about Jacked Antler is conflicting and that doesn’t do a lot in the way of making me feel okay about recommending it to others, and because of that, I can not.

Trying Jacked Antler would almost certainly be nothing more than a waste of money.

Adderum Review – Smart Pill or Junk?

The nootropics supplement market has got to be the fastest growing market I’ve seen in years. There’s been a HUGE surge of supplements popping up promising to help you focus better, concentrate longer, and improve your memory dramatically.

They usually call themselves the “real Limitless pill”.

The reference is to a movie from a few years back.

Bradley Cooper’s character took a pill that made him thousands of times smarter and more cognitively efficient and effective, leading to unbelievable productivity and reward.

One of those supplements I recently came across is called Adderum, which is the focus of this review. But does it really work, or is it a scam like so many others?

What is Adderum?

I originally stumbled on this supplement almost by accident. One of my visitors was asking me if I’ve ever heard of Adderum, and when I saw that I thought she was talking about a completely different supplement called Adderin.

When I looked into it further, I could see that she was indeed talking about a very different supplement.

So what’s in Adderum that makes it so effective. According to my sources, the ingredient list includes Tyrosine, GABA, Bacopa Monnieri, ALpha GPC, Vinpocetine, and Huperzine A.

adderum ingredients

Not surprisingly, this ingredient list is EXACTLY identical to that of Adderin and Addium, minus a few others.

addium vs adderin ingredients labels

I don’t have a bottle of this stuff yet, but I’m willing to bet that all of these other ingredients are contained in Adderum (Niacin, Vitamin B6, Caffeine, etc.)

The specifics of the Adderum formula are proprietary, meaning they don’t disclose ingredient amounts, but the active components are known and include:

  • L-Tyrosine which is an amino acid best known for its ability to help build muscle.

But it’s also used to treat cognitive conditions and mental issues like depression and ADD.

That’s because it’s crucial to the process of producing neurotransmitters need by the brain to send messages.
  • GABA (Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid) which is important for the regulation of your moods.

It keeps your neurotransmitters on an even keel so things don’t get out of whack.

    As such, it improves focus.
  • Bacopa Monnieri. It’s not fully understood how it works, but it decreases anxiety and improve memory and clear thinking.
  • Vinpocetine which improves how the brain uses glucose for energy and facilitates the production of ATP, or cellular energy.
  • Huperzine A which blocks the breakdown of the neurotransmitter, acetylcholine.

To increase brain power, you want as much acetylcholine as possible.

There’s an enzyme called acetylcholinesterase which breaks acetylcholine down.

Huperzine A acts against that enzyme, leaving you with the acetylcholine you need.
  • Alpha GPC which increases the amount of acetylcholine directly, improving your cognitive processes.

What Are It’s Benefits and Who Takes It?

The basic idea is that the older you get the more cognitive decline you experience.

They say the loss starts as young as 30. But by taking Adderum, you can not only stop that decline, but reverse it.

And if you haven’t experienced decline yet, you’ll just be that much more cognitively able.

Among the specific improvements you’ll see are:

  • Quicker and easier memory recall.
  • Faster cognitive reaction time.
  • Elevated mood.
  • Improved overall health.
  • Increased focus
  • Improved overall cognitive function.

The biggest market for supplements like Adderum is people who have used prescription ADD/ADHD drugs like Adderal, but for one reason or another can’t or don’t want to continue.

There’s a lot of “off-label” use of those drugs.

College kids buy a pill or two to help them stay up and focused when they have to pull an all-nighter.

But buying Adderall without a prescription is illegal and so is selling it even when you do have a prescription.

So people who want that cognitive boost can use something like Adderum to get the results they want without the potential for negative consequences that comes with the prescription medication.

How Do I Take It?

The recommended dose is just one pill per day, taken in the morning.

According to the Adderum website, you’ll see real results inside a week, with no side effects.

I should mention here that there’s no such thing as a completely side effect-free supplement.

Different users have different sensitivities and may react where others don’t.

Customer Reviews of Adderum

Also unsurprising is the lack of user reviews of this supplement. The only “reviews” that appear to be showing up are on blogs like health 786 dot com, which has a few Facebook comments posted at the bottom of their page.

adderum reviews

In my opinion, these “reviews” are rubbish. They look like complete and utter fictitious reviews posted by people with fake Facebook accounts.

Another site, which goes by the name of strong e healthcare dot com has a “review” of Adderum as well. They start off their review with the following statement:

adderum fake review

I don’t know about you, but that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Unfortunately, the google results are littered with garbage sites like this that have a “review” of the product, and are clearly written by some content mill operating out of Pakistan.

Another thing to note is that the products own website doesn’t even contain any testimonials, despite there being a link at the top of the page saying otherwise.

adderum testimonials

When you click on it, nothing happens.

There’s nothing on youtube, nothing on Amazon (it’s not sold their yet anyway), and nothing on erowid, yahoo answers, or Reddit.

Now, this could be the case for a few reasons. 1.) It’s only been on the market for a short period of time, so user reviews of Adderum haven’t trickled in yet.

This is the most likely scenario.

2.) There’s really nowhere to “leave a review”. You can’t submit one to their website or Amazon, so there’s no portal to get your voice heard.

and 3.) the product works so well that people dont care to leave a review. Usually the most feedback for a supplement is given when it DOESN’T work, and people want to “Spread the word” so to speak.

What’s My Opinion on Adderum?

I’ve tested DOZENS of nootropic supplements, but unfortunately haven’t tested this one yet. Considering it contains the exact same ingredients that Addium and Adderin have, and I didn’t get much in the way of results from either of them, then my suspicion is that it does NOT work.

With that said, it “might” work for some.

It’s not terribly expensive when compared to most other cognitive enhancing supplements, with a 1 month supply coming in at close to $60.

buy adderum

The unfortunate (but not unsurprising) part is that you can’t buy it in stores. I checked out my local GNC, Walmart, Vitamin Shoppe, and other stores and noone seems to carry it.

They do offer a 30 day money back guarantee, but in order to get a refund you need to jump through hoops. First, you have to contact them within 30 days of ordering and receive what’s known as an “Return Merchandise Authorization” (RMA) #.

adderum refund

Then, once you receive your RMA #, you need to ship it back to them AT YOUR OWN EXPENSE within 15 days of being issued the RMA. If you don’t, they won’t honor your refund.

adderum terms and conditions

Pros

  • The ingredients are all natural.
  • You don’t need a prescription and there are no known major side effects.
  • It’s modestly priced when stacked up to the competition.

Cons

  • It’s new so there’s no real customer feedback available.
  • It’s eerily similar to two other supplements I’ve tested in the past, both of which virtually gave me no benefit.
  • We don’t know the whole ingredient list or the amounts of each ingredient, so it’s difficult to tell how effective it is.
  • The return process is difficult at best.

Recommendation

There’s too little information known about Adderum to come to a 100% conclusion. The fact that it’s remarkably similar to some other supplements out there can be a complete coincidence, but I personally do not think so.

I actually think that the makers of Addium / Adderin came up with Adderum because of all of the negative publicity the former have been receiving.

I’ve literally seen DOZENS of supplements claiming to be the “real limitless pill”, many of which turned out to be junk. In my personal opinion, Adderum is most likely grouped in this category.

Steel Libido Red Review – Does It Work?

I don’t know how long you’ve been looking for a male enhancement supplement online, but if it’s longer than a few minutes, I’ll bet you’ve come across some pretty racy and aggressive websites.

It seems the majority of these products like to appeal to our baser instincts.

It makes sense. We’re talking about sex here.

Discussions and images can get pretty explicit.

And that works for a lot of products, so of course the marketers will keep giving customers what they want.

But not everyone who’s looking for a sex pill wants to be bombarding with dick pics and porn stars.

Some guys see themselves as serious consumers with a serious problem that needs to be addressed.

These guys are looking for a product they can search for anywhere without the website getting flagged as NSFW.

Steel Libido Red to the rescue.

It comes from Irwin Naturals, a company that makes dozens of supplements for all kinds of health care issues for men, women, and even children. It’s sold by several online retailers, and it’s also available in stores.

So let’s see if this low key, highly available male enhancement supplement actually works.

Steel Libido Red ReviewHow Steel Libido Red Works

Steel Libido Red is based on the principle of nitric oxide. NO is produced in your body naturally. It functions as a vasodilator.

That means is relaxes the walls of your blood vessels, allowing an increased amount of blood to flow through.

Since a good strong erection is primarily reliant on the maximum amount of blood flowing into the penis during arousal, NO is key to getting your best erections.

More NO means more blood flowing in, which means better erections.

Steel Libido Red secondarily focuses on other performance enhancements like improved libido, increased endurance, and maximized physical abilities.

Steel Libido Red Ingredients

One of the nice things about a straight-forward supplement made by a reputable supplement company not prone to hype is that they usually provide a full listing of ingredients, including amounts.

This is the case with Steel Libido Red which contains:

  • L-Citrulline which is a precursor to L-Arginine which is a precursor to nitric oxide.

The benefit of the twice removal is that it lasts longer in the system.
  • Medium Chain Triglycerides which may support both mental and physical energy.
  • Pumpkin Seed Oil which helps support prostate health.
  • Velvet Bean Extract which has been shown to be a natural aphrodisiac.
  • Ginkgo Biloba Extract which improves blood flow, mainly to the brain, for improved mental faculties.
  • L-Theanine which promotes a relaxed, yet alert state of mind.
  • Theobromine which boosts nitric oxide production.
  • Ginseng Extract which boosts libido.
  • Cayenne Powder which is a vasodilator independent of nitric oxide.
  • CoQ10 which is an antioxidant that fuels energy production.
  • Super Oxide Dismutase which may encourage healing within the body.
  • Bioperine which improves absorption so all the active ingredients can get to work faster and more efficiently.

Steel Libido Red Instructions

One of the nice things about Steel Libido Red is that you can useiteither daily or as needed.

The primarily recommended dose is 4 soft gel capsules taken in divided doses every day.

That could mean take 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening.

Or it could mean take one 4 times a day spread throughout.

You can also take it as needed, meaning that up to 4 capsules taken at once about an hour before planned sexual activity.

Either way, it’s recommended that you not take more than 4 capsules in any one day.

Where to Buy Steel Libido Red

You can purchase Steel Libido Red both online and in stores.

Online, there are lots of retailers choices ranging from iHerb.com to GNC.com.

The price ranges from about $22 to $34 for a bottle of 75 pills. At the 4 pills per day dose, a bottle will last 18 days, or about 2 ½ weeks.

Steel Libido Red is also available in stores.

The Irwin Naturals website has a store finder page where you can find a local retailer near you.

Some of the stores carrying their products are GNC, Vitamin World, Whole Foods, Lucky Vitamin, and My Natural Market.

Steel Libido Red Reviews

Because Steel Libido Red is so widely available, it’s easy to find customer reviews from people willing to share their opinion of the stuff.

Mainly the news is good:

“Wow!

This product really works!”

“This product definitely enhances one’s desire and helps with blood flow as well.”

“Straight to the point, take as directed for excellent NO retention.

A good product to take along with your favorite Testosterone supplement.”

“Take as directed and this will work wonders.

The best thing about this product is I have no side effects.

I take it daily with my multivitamins and it aids my workout.

I also take before my “other” performance (you know… that performance).

It lasts all night long.”

Steel Libido Red Pros and Cons

Advantages of Steel Libido Red

  • You can take it either daily or as needed for a performance boost.

Taken daily, it will increase NO on a regular basis which can improve athletic performance as well as bedroom performance.
  • It’s inexpensive to try.
  • It’s widely available and easy to find both in stores and online.
  • The ingredients are all natural and fully disclosed.

Disadvantages of Steel Libido Red

  • There are only 18 doses in a bottle, though plenty of reviewers mention that you don’t really need to take 4. You can get away with 2 or 3.

Conclusion

Erectile performance is closely tied to the presence of nitric oxide in your body. Steel Libido Red promises to increase nitric oxide.

The formula doesn’t appear to be particularly strong, but customer reviews tell a different story.

Perhaps the best benefits are that you can take it as needed as well as daily and it’s pretty cheap to try.

If you do spend the money to try, and you find you can get away with 2 or 3 capsules as needed, it my be a very affordable way to go.

Kiojo Review – Does It Work?

Kiojo is a different kind of athletic performance enhancement supplement than we’re used to seeing.

According to their website, it’s the most comprehensive and therapeutic choice on the market today.

They’re making a big promotional push that’s definitely caught my eye on social media.

So I decided to check it out and see what it has to offer.

Benefits of Kiojo

Kiojo is an energy and performance enhancing supplement that promises to hydrate the body and enhance the mind.

It’s these two separate yet equally primary focuses that make up its intention to harmonize your life energy (Ki) with your self confidence (Mojo).

It replenishes the electrolytes and nutrients you lose through daily life, exercise, or both.

Without proper hydration, your body becomes tired and weak.

In enhancing the mind, Kiojo ensures that your brain is firing on all cylinders so you’ve got mental stamina and spot on memory recall.

It also improves energy and metabolic function.
  • Zinc L Aspartate which is necessary for dozens of essential functions within the body.

It acts as an antioxidant, it boosts the immune system, and it helps with athletic performance and speed.
  • N-Gaba which is a neurotransmitter found naturally in the brain and used to help quiet the mind for more focuses thinking.

Instructions are to dissolve one packet into 8-16 ounces of water and drink before, during, and after physical activity.

It’s got a light, fruity flavor, and it’s recommended that you use just one serving per day.

GC 180 XT Review – Should You Give It A Try?

I’m just going to go ahead and say it.

If a diet pill promises that by using it you can lose weight without diet or exercise, be very suspicious.

That’s what GC 180 XT promises, so that’s one strike against, right out of the gate.

I know it’s tempting to think it could be that easy.

But I’m telling you (and deep down you probably already know it) it just doesn’t work that way.

At the simplest level, weight loss requires that you burn more calories than you consume, and you do this on a continual basis day after day, week after week, until you reach your goal.

There are other factors, of course, like how your body handles carbohydrates and converts them to glucose for energy or storage.

But the bottom line is that you have to eat less than you burn.

That doesn’t mean supplements can’t help. They can.

They can boost your metabolism so your body burns more calories at rest than it otherwise would.

They can suppress your appetite so you eat less.

They can boost your energy so you’re more likely to hit the gym, burn more calories, and build more muscle (which also burns more calories).

And they can help improve the way your body handles the use of fat for energy.

But supplements are just that – supplemental.

They can help, but they can’t do it for you.

When GC 180 XT claims it can do it for you, they’re wrong.

GC 180 XT ReviewWhat Is GC 180 XT?

GC 180 XT is a weight loss supplement based on its primary ingredient, Garcinia Cambogia.

It’s only avilable online, and there’s a good amount of information out there to help make an educated decision.

There are tons of Garcinia Cambogia supplements these days, and more coming out all the time.

A few years ago now, Dr. Oz recommended it as a miracle worker, and it’s been at the top of the diet pill world ever since.

But as you probably know, Dr. Oz has been accused of getting behind some pretty serious dud products, so his recommendation isn’t worth what it use to be worth.

Still, Garcinia supplements are still popular, so maybe there’s something so the stuff.

Benefits of GC 180 XT

GC 180 XT claims the same benefits as most other Garcinia Cambogia supplements.

It’s an impressive list that includes:

  • Mobilizing fat to be used by the body as energy.
  • Prevention of additional fat storage.

Food gets used for energy instead of being stored as fat.

In fact, it block the production of new fat cells.
  • Suppression of appetite so you eat less.
  • Improvement of mood so you have less chance of succumbing to emotional eating.

GC 180 XTIngredients

The primary active ingredient is 1000mg GC 180 XT is Garcinia Cambogia, containing a 50% concentration of HCA (Hydroxycitric Acid).

HCA is the active compound in Garcinia, and it’s claimed to work on several different levels.

  • It blocks the working of Citrate Lyase, the enzyme that converts unused glucose into fat.

So without that conversion, it has no option but to be used for energy.
  • It helps burn already stored fat.
  • It increases the release of serotonin which improves mood, suppresses appetite, and blocks emotional cravings.

Unlike a lot of other Garcinia supplements, GC 180 XTcontains a couple of additional ingredients:

  • Chromium which helps control blood sugar, which helps control appetite.
  • Calcium which has been shown to help burn fat within your existing fat cells.
  • Potassium which boosts metabolism and helps maintain proper hydration levels without bloating.

How To Use GC 180 XT

The instructions are to take one GC 180 XT capsule 2 to 3 times per day, preferably before meals.

GC 180 XT contains no stimulants, so taking it before your last meal shouldn’t pose a problem when it comes to getting a good night’s sleep.

GC 180 XT Side Effects

The GC 180 XT website and bottle don’t list any side effects, so I wouldn’t imagine anything too serious.

With that said, however, I have seen a number of GC 180 XT reviews from customers complaining of having an upset stomach when using it.

Again, we’re not talking about anything severe, but you should be aware that a stomach ache is a possibility with this stuff.

Where to Buy

GC 180 XT is only available online. There are a number of affiliate websites that look like customer reviews.

What they really are are portals to funnel you to the GC 180 XT website to sign up for the “free trial.” The reviews basically rave about how good GC 180 XT is, then get you to “Click Here” to get your free bottle.

Once you click through, you fill out a form to receive your free trial bottle for just the $5.95 shipping cost.Once you sign up, you have 14 days to decide if you want to continue using it.

If so, do nothing, and they’ll charge your credit card $69.95 for the “free bottle.” They’ll also sign you up to receive a new bottle each month for that same price. You’ll continue to receive a new bottle every month until you cancel.

Here’s what’s wrong with this free trial set up.

First of all, they don’t make clear what’s going on.

You think you’re getting a bottle for $5.95 with no strings a But you’re not.

It’s all laid out on the website, but it’s in the very fine print, designed specifically for you to miss it.

Secondly, $69.95 is very expensive for what this stuff is.Even if you like it, it’s probably not worth $69.95.

And when you finally do figure out what’s going on and you try to cancel and get you’re money back, chances are you’ll lose at least one charge, maybe several.

You can also get GC 180 XT at Amazon.com.The price there is a more reasonable $34.99.

GC 180 XT Reviews

Most of the “reviews” you’ll find are really just advertisements, but there are a few real ones on Amazon and a couple other websites. For the most part, the feedback is people railing against the free trail scam.

Most of them add in an “oh by the way this stuff doesn’t work” line too.

Conclusion

We usually add a Pros and Cons section to our supplement reviews. In this case, we didn’t bother.

There’s realy nothing good about GC 180 XT.

It’s possible that Garcinia may offer potential benefit for weight loss, but the scientific evidence doesn’t really support it.

Then when you consider the free trial scam, there’s just no reason to even entertain the idea of buying GC 180 XT.

Niagen Review – Does It Work?

It’s amazing to stop and think of all the technological advances that have been made just in the last quarter century or so.

The internet barely existed, certainly not in anything resembling the form we know it as today.

The advances are even more astonishing in the medical field.

It’s gotten to the point where we’re not even overly cynical when we hear that the Fountain of Youth may have been discovered.

In 2013, Harvard Medical School researcher Dr. David Sinclair uncovered the anti-aging possibilities of a chemical compound called Nitotinamide Riboside.

It’s since been patented and is being developed and sold with the trademarked name of Niagen by a company called ChromoDex.

When we talk about Niagen, we’re talking about an ingredient that can be found in several different products made by several different supplement companies.

The one gaining the most traction seems to be be Niagen by Live Cell Research, so that’s the one we’re focusing on in this review.

But the information holds true for other Niagen supplements as well.

Just check the dosage of whatever brand you’re using so you can make a fair comparison.

Niagen ReviewWhat Is Niagen?

Niagen is the proprietary name of a substance called Nicotinamide Riboside, which is a precursor to a substance called Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleoitide, or NAD+. NAD+ is present in your body naturally.

Niagen, as a precursor, helps your body produce more.

NAD+ is involved in the transfer of electrons from one cell to another to produce energy.

It also controls the communication between the nucleus of the cell out to the mitochondria.

And it’s actually just that simple.

As we get older, the communication between and within our cells slows down due to, among other things, the diminishing amount of NAD+.

This diminishing is related to age as well as oxidative damage caused by free radicals over time. Niagen helps build NAD+ levels back up, allowing a rejuvenation of sorts for your cells.

Niagen Benefits

By restoring youthful communication, Niagen claims to basically turn back the clock.

You’ll feel more youthful and vitalized.

You’ll get a better night’s rest. Your metabolism will speed up.

Your thinking will become more clear, your memory more vivid.

Niagen can lower cholesterol and may help prevent age related cognitive decline.

Basically, you will look and feel younger and healthier if the claims are to be believed.

Niagen Ingredients

There’s only one ingredient in Live Cell Research Niagen, and that’s 250 mg of Nicotanimide Riboside. Again, that’s what Niagen is.

It’s a pure form of Nicotanimide Riboside, made by ChromaDex.

Supplement companies license it from ChromaDex for use in their own supplements.

At that point, those companies can combine it with what they want and package it how they please.

Live Cell Research leaves it alone and delivers 250 mg of Niagen to be taken once a day in the morning with a glass of water.

Clinical Research

One of the exciting things about Niagen is that it actually has been the subject of clinical studies, and the research continues.

The study that started it all in 2013 was conducted at Harvard Medical School by Dr. David Sinclair.

His study involved mice who took Niagen for only one week.

When the week was up, body tissue from 2 year old mice resembled that of tissue from 6 month old mice.

In human terms, that’s like a 60 year old showing up with the body tissue of a 20 year old. Pretty astounding, right? But there are some caveats to consider.

These mice were injected with a 400 mg daily dose of Niagen. A Live Cell Research Niagen pill contains only 250mg.

Think for a second about how big of a dose a 200 pound guy would need to take to reach the equivalent of what the mice took. The typical mouse weighs about an ounce.

Our 200 pound human male would need to take a dose 3200 times bigger than what the mouse took to achieve the same ratio.

That’s 1,280,000 mg, or 1.28 kg per day… over 5000 times more than what is offered in each Niagen pill.

Who Is Live Cell Research?

The company that makes the Niagen supplement is Live Cell Research. This is a relatively new outfit out of Southern California.

They make Niagen along with a couple other products.

Their stated philosophy is one of promoting overall health by way of cellular health. They believe in using whole foods and daily exercise to maintain health. But they understand that that lifestyle isn’t always possible for everyone, which leads to a need for supplements that work on that cellular level to maintain and restore health.

They pride themselves not only on well researched, safe, and effective supplements, but also on superior customer service.

They offer a 90 day return policy on all their supplements, and their customer service is available for from 9am to 9pm daily.

Niagen Reviews

There’s a lot of customer feedback available online about Niagen, and truthfully, it’s a very mixed bag.

If you look, you’ll find dozens of happy customer reviews on Amazon.com.

Here’s a sample of a typical positive review:

“The first day of taking this supplement, I immediately felt a difference.

I had extra energy and focus for the entire day, and I even slept better that night.

I have been taking it (250 mg per day) for about 5 days now and it feels great!

I do very few product ratings on here, and I buy a lot of merchandise from Amazon, but this product is definitely worth posting about.”

But not everyone is pleased with their results.

In fact, a few customers have noted side effects:

“Accelerated pulse, muscular aches, skin aches, affects sleeping patterns, mostly extending sleep.

The claims that everybody can take Niagen, that it would be beneficial to anybody, and that there are no known side effects are highly questionable, and possibly irresponsible.

I experienced side effects that ultimately made me stop taking Niagen, even one pill a day.”

Then there are the complaints about the customer service received from Live Cell Research:

“I ordered the minimum and was charged at a $200+ rate twice and canceled immediately. However, I was told to select the “right” buttons next time, but I did select the one month button and they tried to take me.”

Certainly, there’s room for differing opinions on a product and on a company, but in the case of Niagen, the feedback is all over the map.

Niagen Pros and Cons

Advantages of Niagen

  • It’s a single ingredient, so you know what you’re getting.
  • It’s been clinically studied, and definitely shows promise.

Disadvantages of Niagen

  • It’s way under-dosed compared to what’s been studied.
  • Some of the clinical trials involving humans haven’t been as successful as the ones conducted on mice.
  • There’s some negative feedback on Live Cell Research as a company.

Where to Buy

You can order Niagen through Live Cell Research or on Amazon.com.

A 30 day supply on the website is $46.99 with discounts for ordering more than one bottle at once. The Amazon price is close at $43.99. Live Cell Research offers a 90 day money back guarantee, but save your empty bottles because you’ll have to return them to get your money.

Conclusion

Niagen has promise. The study on mice had some astounding results.

But the dosing was massive compared to what you get in these pills, and testing hasn’t demonstrated that this stuff even has a strong potential to work in humans.

I recommend you skip Niagen for now, but keep your eye out for further developments in the future.

Testamatol and Vigoraflo Review – Incredible New Stack?

Face it.

We all wish we had the body of a professional athlete, am I right?

They’re strong, they’re lean, they’re, well, athletic.

And when we find out one of them might just have gotten that way by using a substance we can also have access to, we get hopeful.

Maybe we can get a physique like that too.

A couple days ago, I read an “ESPN” article with the headline: “Breaking News: Seahawks Cancel Russell Wilson’s 4 Year $84 Million Contract!” Wait Did I read that right?

It goes on to say:

“Russell Wilson may have just lost his 4 year $84 million contract extension with the Seahawks after they discovered he utilized a performance enhancing supplement called Testamatol that the NFL will officially ban within the next few months.”

Testamatol and Vigoraflow Review 1The article goes on to quote Wilson as saying that the NFL believes Testamatol makes football too dangerous because so many players are using it.

Okay, this stuff must be out of this world amazing! And not only that, but if you use it with another supplement, called Vigoraflo, they say your results will be even more incredible.

Richard Mason, the writer of the article, tested out the stack and says he gained 16 pounds of pure muscle in just 4 weeks.

And he did it with “No Special Diet.

No Intense Exercise.”

Testamatol and Vigoraflow Review 3

That’s when I gotta call bullshit.

No way this guy gained 16 pounds of pure muscle in a month without changing his diet or workout routine.

And the truth is the article is completely fabricated and not really an article at all.

It’s got nothing to do with ESPN.

Just look at the website address.

But we’ll go ahead anyway and take a look at Testamatol and Vigoraflo separately, see what they actually can and cannot do, and if they’re worth trying in the end.

What Is Testamatol?

Testamatol is an HGH (Human Growth Hormone) stimulating supplement.

It doesn’t contain any actual HGH. (That would actually be banned from most sports doping authorities).

Instead, it stimulates the body’s own natural HGH production.

Increased HGH means:

  • Increased energy.
  • Slowed down aging.
  • Better sleep.
  • Decreased fat accumulation.
  • Increased lean muscle development.

Testamatol and Vigoraflow Review 4How Does Testamatol Work?

The working theory is that if you supplement with certain amino acids in certain combinations, you can increase the amount of HGH secreted by the somatotropic cells of your pituitary gland.

There are currently some scientific studies (CITE https://www.google.com/patents/US6368617) showing that there may be something to this theory, but that doesn’t necessarily mean Testamatol works.

The Testamatol formula is proprietary, which means they tell you what ingredients are in it, but they don’t tell you how much.

So even though there are studies being conducted, the amount of each ingredient in Testamatol formula is not likely to be the same as what’s being used in those studies.

Testamatol Ingredients

The Testamatol proprietary formula includes 3 kinds of L-Arginine as well as L-Citrulline.

  • L-Arginine Alpha Ketoglutarate (AKG) increases the body’s production of nitric oxide.

This improves blood flow to muscle tissue throughout the body.

The increased blood flow delivers greater amounts of oxygen and nutrients, allowing your muscles to work harder and recover faster.

L-Arginine AKG is better and more quickly absorbed by the body than other forms of L-Arginine.
  • L-Arginine also increases nitric oxide in the body, so you’re further boosting the body’s nutrient and oxygen delivery.

It’s also one of the key amino acids that may increase the body’s production of HGH.
  • L-Arginine Monohydrochoride which is also better absorbed than traditional L-Arginine.
  • L-Citrulline which enhances the benefits of L-Arginine when it comes to nitric oxide production.

The benefits of nitric oxide in your system are extended out to a longer period of time.

This may or may not be a complete list of the active ingredients in Testamatol.

If it is, there’s plenty to increase nitric oxide production, which is helpful for better workouts, but there’s really not much to increase the release of HGH throughout the body.

What Is Vigoraflo?

Vigoraflo is the testosterone booster of the stack.

When you start moving through your thirties and beyond, the amount of testosterone produced by your body drops off to a noticeable degree.

You start to notice symptoms like:

  • Increased tendency to gain fat.
  • Decreased ability to build and retain lean muscle mass.
  • Irritability.
  • Lethargy.
  • Loss of libido.

How Does Vigoraflo Work

Vigoraflo stimulates your body’s natural testosterone production, raising levels back to where they were years ago, and alleviating and in some cases eliminating, the symptoms that come along with testosterone levels falling off.

Testamatol and Vigoraflow Review 5Vigoraflo Ingredients

There are several herbal ingredients that have the potential to boost testosterone levels, and quite a few of them show up in the Vigoraflo formula:

  • Horny Goat Week which actually plays more of a role in improving sexual performance by increasing libido as well as blood flow to the penis during erections.

It works a little like Viagra when it comes to improving erections.
  • Tongkat Ali which increases free testosterone by inhibiting the action of Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) which attaches itself to testosterone molecules, making them unusable by the body.

With less SHBG around to get in the way, you’ll have more free testosterone doing its job.
  • Saw Palmetto Extract which supports the health of your prostate.
  • Sarsaparilla which improves focus and concentration.
  • Boron which supports healthy cell functioning.
  • Wild Yam Extract which improves hormonal balance.
  • Nettle Extract which also supports prostate health.
  • Orchic Substance which contains zinc, an essential nutrient for many bodily functions, including the production of testosterone.

It’s a fairly weak formula all things considered.

You at least want to see D-Aspartic Acid in your testosterone booster.

It’s the most clinically successful testosterone boosting ingredient we know of.

Where to Buy Testamatol and Vigoraflo

In the fake article, there are links to the Testamatol and Vigoraflo websites, where you can buy each respective product, though “buy” might not be the right term.

In order to get Testamatol and Vigoraflo, you have to sign up for their free trial offers.

You pay a small shipping fee.

If after 14 days, you have not contacted the companies, they’ll charge you full price for both supplements, and you’ll be signed up to receive a new full price bottle each month.

If you don’t want this to happen, you need to call and cancel your subscription within 14 days of the day you placed your original free trial offer. If you do get charged, be prepared.

Testamatol costs $89.99 per bottle, and Vigoramax is just as bad at $89.95.

Both Testamatol and Vigoraflo are super expensive and that’s bad enough. But they hide the terms of their offer in the fine print, so that makes the obscene price that much worse.

Testamatol and Vigoraflow Conclusion

Don’t bother. Stay away.

There are tons of red flags when it comes to Testamatol and Vigoraflow.

They’re advertised using a completely faked article filled with distorted “facts”.

They promise 15 pounds of muscle in a month with no change in diet or workout.

And you can only buy them with a free trial offer which turns out to be nothing even resembling free.

Testamatol and Vigoraflow are not worth your time, your money, or your expectations.

Addrena Review

The Addrena website describes Addrena as “an over the counter Adderall substitute pill that helps increase focus with a unique blend of natural vitamins and herbal stimulants that have powerful effects.” In other words, it is a nootropic supplement that is intended to enhance focus, concentration, alertness and energy.

The supplement also produces thermogenic effects, which encourage weight loss.

Adderall, which is a prescription drug used to treat attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), has garnered considerable controversy pertaining to its side effects.

Its substitute, Addrena, has also been the subject of much criticism.

A lot of people find their way to products like Addrena and other similar nootropics because they are looking to go around the hassle of obtaining a hard to get Adderall prescription or simply want to avoid the negative side effects that have come to be known from taking it.

In an effort to provide you with a balanced review of Addrena, we performed a significant amount of research to help you decide whether this nootropic is for you.

Conclusion

What is Addrena?

addrena reviewsThe supplement’s main purpose is to:

  • Boost mental focus
  • Enhance energy levels
  • Promote fat loss.

Addrena is meant to provide that extra boost needed to get tasks done efficiently, while encouraging weight loss through its thermogenic and appetite suppressant effects – without the severe side effects of prescription ADHD drugs.

Addrena may be useful for studying, writing papers, and other tasks that require concentration.

How Does It Work?

Addrena works by boosting the flow of neurotransmitters, dopamine and epinephrine in the brain; by incorporating a synergistic blend of vitamins, natural stimulants and nootropic cognitive enhancers that imitate powerful ADHD medications; and by increasing the body’s core temperature via metabolic stimulation.

Neurotransmitters are brain chemicals that send data throughout the body and brain.

These neurotransmitters are either excitatory, meaning they stimulate the brain; or inhibitory, meaning they calm the brain and promote balance.

Dopamine is a neurotransmitter, or chemical messenger, that plays a crucial role in humans and animals.

Its functions are related to movement, memory, pleasurable reward, behavior, cognition, attention, sleep, mood and learning, among others.

Deficiency or excess of dopamine can result in serious conditions, such as Parkinson’s disease and drug addiction, respectively.

Epinephrine, also known as adrenaline, is a hormone generated by the adrenal medulla, which is the inner part of the adrenal gland.

The body contains small amounts of epinephrine, which is vital to maintaining cardiovascular stability.

Epinephrine is released into your bloodstream when you experience intense emotions, such as anger and fear, which cause your heart rate, muscle strength, sugar metabolism and blood pressure to rise.

By effecting neurotransmitters, dopamine and epinephrine, Addrena helps to increase focus and concentration and improve mood.

This is very similar to Adderall, Ritalin, Vyvanse or any other similar stimulant based pills operate and thus, in theory, it should work similarly.

To prompt weight loss, Addrena contains herbs that produce natural thermogenic effects and act to suppress hunger.

These thermogenic effects stimulate the metabolism and increases generated heat in the body, leading to fat loss.

What Are The Ingredients?

Addrena contains an extensive amount of ingredients, including:

  • Vitamin B3, which promotes a healthy nervous system.
  • Vitamin B12, which is needed for normal memory and focus.
  • Guarana, which is a stimulant mainly used to enhance energy.
  • Bitter Orange, which is traditionally used for heartburn and weight loss.
  • Yohimbe Bark Extract, which is traditionally used for weight loss and to boost athletic performance and general health.
  • Choline Dihydrogen Citrate, which is found in foods such as liver, fish, nuts, beans and spinach, and is used to treat Alzheimer’s, memory loss and other mental conditions.
  • Acetyl-L-Carnitine, which benefits memory, mood and cognitive ability.
  • Bacopa Extract, whose active components have been shown to have a positive impact on brain cells.
  • Acetyl-L-Tyrosine, which acts similarly to the amino acid tyrosine and has been used to treat ADHD, depression, narcolepsy and stress.
  • Caffeine, which researchers say has a positive effect on long-term memory.
  • Dimethylaminoethanol, which is a chemical that helps the brain form acetylcholine.

This process is instrumental to the transmission of messages by neurotransmitters.
  • White Willow Bark Extract, which is used for pain, fever and weight loss.
  • Piperine, which is an extract (derived from black pepper) that increases the absorption of various nutrients.
  • Vinpocetine, which is an extract (derived from the periwinkle plant) that enhances cognitive functions, including those related to long- and short-term memory.
  • Huperzine A, which is an alkaloid found in certain plants.

Huperzine A is known for its effectiveness in treating symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease.

Ingredients that are not displayed on Addrena’s label but are indicated on the manufacturer’s website include theophylline, octopamine, synephrine, theobromine and yohimbine hydrochloride.

Addrena Vs. Adderall

To fight symptoms of ADHD, Adderall uses a combination of synthetic amphetamine and dextroamphetamine salts.

The drug works by increasing the flow of neurotransmitters in the brain – this process calms behavior and helps facilitate focus.

Adderall also curbs hunger, resulting in weight loss.

Journalists, college students, baseball players, scientists and other individuals have been known to use Adderall to improve attention, learning, memory, concentration and productivity.

The prescription drug, however, has a high potential for abuse, and other possible side effects such as rapid heartbeat, feelings of extreme highs and lows, hallucinations and muscle twitches.

Dr. Corneliu E.

Giurgea, who originally synthesized Piracetam and coined the term “nootropic” established “very few side effects” as one of the criteria for nootropics.

A true nootropic therefore has very limited or zero side effects.

Addrena is marketed as a substitute to Adderall, containing natural ingredients that provide similar effects to Adderall but without the side effects generally associated with the prescription drug.

While some users report positive experiences with Addrena, some nootropic reviewers claim that Addrena can cause serious side effects.

Potential Addrena Side Effects

Addrena is intended to be free of side effects and safer for long-term use than Adderall, but it has been heavily criticized by reviewers for containing dangerous properties.

The general consensus on this issue is that the chemicals in Bitter Orange and Yohimbe Bark pose hazardous health risks.

The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) states that Bitter Orange has been used in traditional Chinese medicine and by some indigenous people for indigestion, nausea and constipation.

However, the NCCIH notes that it may not be safe to use as a dietary supplement because it contains chemicals that accelerate the heart rate and increase blood pressure.

With regards to Yohimbe, the extract is said to be generally well-tolerated when taken in low doses, but excess usage can lead to rapid heart rate and increased sweating.

In addition, according to an FDA investigation of dietary supplements, of the 275 calls made to poison centers, 18 percent involved products that contained Yohimbe.

Yohimbe is banned in several countries, such as Great Britain, Canada, Australia and the Netherlands.

It is legal in the US, however, where it is sold under various brand names.

What Do The Reviews Say?

Reviews of Yohimbe from the general population are extremely mixed.

Some people have high praises for the supplement, stating that it “works as advertised” or it “increases focus without crash or insomnia.” Others say that it “didn’t do much” and does the same thing that a cup of coffee would do.

Notably, some users claimed that the product comes with a message promising customers a free bottle of Addrena if they leave a positive review.

How To Take It

Because this is a powerful supplement with Adderall-like effects, the recommended dosage is one pill per day – though some people take 2 per day, spacing out the time frame.

Addrena should not be taken with caffeine, as it already contains potent stimulant properties.

ADDRENA PROS AND CONS

Advantages:

  • Has all-natural ingredients.
  • Helps you shed unwanted weight.
  • The maker’s website provides a detailed account of how the supplement works.

Disadvantages:

  • Includes chemicals that are deemed harmful by various health organizations.
  • Lack of clinical studies to support use of the supplement.
  • Difficult to validate customer reviews.
  • Many nootropic reviewers do not recommend using the product.
  • No money-back guarantee offered on the maker’s website.

Where To Buy

Traditional stores, such as Walmart, Rite Aid, GNC, CVS and Walgreens do not sell Addrena.

It is sold via the manufacturer’s website or through the company at Amazon.com.

Addrena costs $39.99 per bottle, which has 60 pills, generally lasting up to two months (if you take one per day).According to the manufacturer, the cost is much less than the price of comparable products which have far less mgs than Addrena and do not provide strong results.

You don’t need a prescription to buy most nootropics, but since they are health-related, it’s always a good idea to consult with your physician before taking them – and Addrena is no exception.

Conclusion

Based on our research, the cons of using Addrena outweigh the pros.

For the most part, the manufacturer’s website is informative, but it does not address reported side effects, simply stating that the product does not carry the side effects associated with prescription medications such as Adderall and Ritalin.

People respond differently to nootropics, based on their body chemistry.

Therefore, Addrena users may, or may not, experience side effects.

But with the significant amount of controversy that surrounds the use of Addrena, potential side effects are worthy of note.

Considering that one of the key components of Addrena – specifically Yohimbe – is banned in several countries and there are quite a few warnings concerning Addrena, we cannot unequivocally recommend the supplement.

Brain Abundance Review – Should You Try It?

Nootropics. Brain Boosters. Cognitive Enhancers. Limitless Pills.

They have lots of different names, but they’re basically all the same thing.

They’re supplements that claim to help you think better, remember longer, focus more intently, and process information more quickly.

These supplements are getting more and more popular by the day, and the truth is I’ve tried a lot of them myself.

One that I’ve recently come across is called Brain Abundance.

I haven’t tried it yet, but I wanted to put together all the information we have on it, so if you get to it before I do, you at least have some idea of what to expect.

Benefits of Brain Abundance

Just like our bodies, over time and with age, our brains deteriorate to some degree.

And just like wrinkled skin and lost muscle tone, the degree of degradation varies from person to person.

Whichever end of the scale you find yourself on, Brain Abundance promises to slow the process down and improve the way your brain functions.

Brain Abundance ReviewBy taking 3 Brain Abundance capsules a day, the benefits they claim you can expect are:

  • Improved cognitive function.
  • Support for a healthy memory, both long and short term.
  • Help coping with stress and anxiety.
  • More positive mood and outlook.
  • Better sleep.
  • Increased focus and metal clarity.
  • Protection against cell damage caused by free radicals.

How Brain Abundance Works

One of the key factors for any supplement claiming to improve cognitive function is its ability to cross the blood brain barrier.

This is the interface that decides which substances are allowed into the brain and which ones need to be protected against.

Unless a supplement can cross that barrier, it can have little effect on how your brain works.

Brain Abundance promises that its substances are formulated so that they can indeed cross the blood brain barrier.

Brain Abundance Ingredients

There are a full 13 ingredients in the Brain Abundance formula. Let’s break them down.

There’s:

  • Folic Acid which improves memory and cognition, and is currently being studied as a potential help for Alzheimer’s Disease patients.
  • L-Glutamine which provides energy to the brain and is known to improve mental alertness, mood, and memory.

It can also decrease sugar cravings.
  • Phenylalanine which may improve symptoms of depression and Parkinson’s Disease.
  • Rhodiola Rosea which can help relieve the anxiety and fatigue brought on by stressful situations.
  • Sensoril which provides a calm, positive frame of mind, conducive to thoughtful, rational, decision making.

Because of its effect on mood, it also can help curb emotional eating.
  • Vitamin B12 which needs to be maintained at healthy levels in order to help fight off memory loss and cognitive decline of any kind.
  • Grape Seed Extract which is an antioxidant that can cross the blood grain barrier to regulate neurotransmitters in the brain, improve the symptoms of ADD/ADHD.
  • Astaxanthin which is another antioxidant that makes it through the blood brain barrier to help keep neurotransmitters in peak condition.
  • Niacinamide which may help combat learning disorders, anxiety, insomnia, aggression, and several other conditions of the brain.
  • Vitamin B6 which helps fight body and brain fatigue.

It also fights against brain shrinkage which causes diminished function as we age.
  • Resveratrol which is yet another antioxidant that crosses the blood brain barrier.

It keeps neurotransmitters clean and functioning, while providing anti-aging benefits as well.
  • Zinc Picolinate which is essential to so many bodily functions and chemical reactions.

One of its primary functions is maintaining a proper hormone balance.
  • Ginseng which may help protect the brain against deterioration and improve cognitive function.

There’s little doubt that the Brain Abundance formula is safe and may help you feel a little better and maybe even brighter, but overall, it’s a pretty weak formula.

I’m used to brain boosting supplements with actual nootropic ingredients that feed neurotransmitters in your brain and actually boost functioning.

Brain Abundance looks more like an herbal, feel good, multivitamin and antioxidant formulation.

The Brain Abundance Business Opportunity

As we dug a little deeper into the information provided by the Brain Abundance website, we found what may be the “real” point of this supplement.

It became clear that Brain Abundance is a multi-level marketing (MLM) scheme.

If you’re not familiar with that term, think Pyramid Scheme.

Basically, they’re not just selling their supplement.

They encourage all their customers to become salespeople.

If you do, you become part of a higher level salesperson’s network, and they get a piece of your commission on everything you sell.

In turn, you also recruit salespeople for your network, and you get of piece of all their commissions.

When your salespeople recruit their own network, you get commissions on all of their sales too.

And this goes on for “generations” of salespeople.

Historically, these MLM schemes make a crapload of money for a few people at the top of the pyramid because they get a piece of every sale made by most of the salespeople in the company.

But most of the people that get involved after the company is established, don’t do very well at all.

Brain Abundance Reviews

There are a few Brain Abundance reviews on Amazon.com, and they’re mixed.

One thing you should note, however, is that none of the 5-star reviews are marked as “verified amazon purchases” while all of the 1-star reviews are.

Where to Buy

If you want to purchase Brain Abundance, be aware that you will be recruited to sell the stuff, and recruited hard.

They make much more money if you sell then if you only buy.

They want you to do both, and they want you to convince all of your customers to do both as well.

If you try to order Brain Abundance online, you’ll be asked for a member referral number before they even show you a price.

That’s how they can know what salesperson and network gets the commission.

Brain Abundance is also currently available on Amazon.com for about $45.

Does Brain Abundance Work?

One of the most important things to remember about MLM companies is that they don’t really care all that much about their products. It’s all about the sales structure and the commissions.

They want their product to be good enough not to create a bad reputation. That would make it harder to sell.

But mainly, they’re concerned with finding a product in a hot little niche that’s rising in popularity.

That makes brain boosting supplements a perfect candidate for this kind of marketing scheme.

I haven’t tried Brain Abundance, but frankly, the formula is weak.

It doesn’t have any of the nootropic powerhouses you look for like racetams or phosphatidylserine for example.

My educated opinion on the subject is that you probably won’t find much benefit from taking Brain Abundance.

Conclusion

If you’re looking for a cognitive enhancement supplement, there are far better options than Brain Abundance with no strings attached.

If you’re looking for a business opportunity, I would tend to recommend against that too.

It’s not that nobody makes money on these schemes.

Just the vast majority.

Prüvit KETO OS Review and Results – Instant Ketosis for Fat Burning

Prüvit Keto OS Review

keto os for women

We decided to write a Pruvit Keto OS review since ketones and the ketogenic diet have become such a popular way to lose body fat.

You’ve probably heard of “being in the state of ketosis” which is when your body is burning fat for fuel instead of glucose (sugar/carbs).

Or, maybe you’ve heard of the Ketogenic diet which is the high fat/low carb diet used in medicine to put your body into ketosis.

But not everyone wants to adhere to a strict diet, and that’s where a supplement can help.

There is a new supplement on the market called Keto OS that is all the buzz right now and we recently had the chance to test it out.

Keto OS is a ketone supplement powder that gives you the benefits of ketosis without having to be in nutritional ketosis. I have to say, our results have been remarkable.

So what is it about this supplement that can put you into fat burning mode without having to adhere to a strict diet?

What is Prüvit KETO OS?

Prüvit’s KETO//OS (Ketone Operating System) is a proprietary, exogenous ketone delivery drink that is the first of its kind which can bio-hack your body into ketosis in under an hour.

Normally, ketones are only produced during times of prolonged fasting (or adhering to a strict ketogenic diet) which is why the average person has probably never experienced ketosis.

Let’s face it, the average American never has to experience famine and most of us eat a high-carb, high-sugar diet.

We’re all sugar burners when we were designed to be FAT BURNERS!

So let’s talk about ketones and why they are an ideal choice to fuel the body with more power and melt fat in this Keto OS review. Keto OS reviews

With 38% more energy than glucose, ketones are an ideal energy source, and can provide many health benefits such as:

  • fat loss
  • increased energy
  • feel more focused, reduced brain fog
  • suppressed appetite
  • better mood
  • better sleep
  • improved digestion
  • muscle preservation

Keto OS’s formula is a powder that you mix with water and drink up to twice per day. It contains a specifically engineered formulation of ketone mineral salts (BHB, betahydroxybutyrate) for high energy fuel.

It comes in two formulas: the “Charged” version, which contains about the same amount of caffeine as you’d find in a cup of coffee, and decaf.

I can’t think of another fat burner that you can take that’s decaf so literally anyone can benefit from this drink (kids, and pregnant or nursing moms included–decaf of course).

The long of the short is, drinking Keto OS puts your body into ketosis in under an hour without having to restrict your diet!

For optimal results, you should follow a sensible diet such as Paleo or Ketogenic Diet, or simply a low carb diet. It’s also beneficial to follow a good exercise routine, but it’s not necessary to experience results, as Katie demonstrates below in her Keto OS review.

Our Personal Results With KETO OS

Katie took Keto OS for just under three weeks and lost 12 lbs!

As you can see from her before and after pictures, her chin is more defined, the fat underneath her arms diminished, her belly is leaner, her waist got freakin’ tiny, and her legs and butt got noticeably smaller and tighter!

Katie also practices yoga to keep fit, but taking the Keto OS really pushed her into a whole new level of fat burning and she had a noticeable increase in energy, strength, and personal drive.

Katie’s Testimonial Using KETO OS

keto os before and afterI’m so excited to share with everyone my journey using Keto OS!

It’s been extremely hard for me to lose fat over the years, which has been very frustrating and I struggle with energy.

Back in 2015, a friend of mine who knew what I’d been going through introduced me to this product. I cannot thank her enough!

When she mentioned “ketosis,” my antennas went off, since I’m familiar with the ketogenic diet,  and the results have been mind blowing!

In just 3 weeks drinking ketones I  managed to lose 12 lbs of fat, and tighten up in every part of my body.

Not only have I lost body fat, but the product has made my yoga practice so much stronger and given me so much motivation!

keto os tasteI practice yoga  2-3 times a week now with much more focus, intensity, and strength. I never had the dedication or the energy before like I do now.

I take the “Charged” KETO OS in the morning, and sometimes later in the afternoon depending on my day. I also use the MCT//143 in my coffee each day!

I started out by taking only a half a packet a day of the Orange Dream for about 3 days to let my body get used to it. I had a slight upset tummy the first day but it didn’t last.

I drink mine with ice and water, and usually add lemon. Shake shake shake!

When I first started the only flavor they had was Orange Dream, but Pruvit has advanced over the years with formulas and flavors!

Now I LOVE the new Heart Tart!

It was recommended to me to follow a Ketogenic diet as well as using the product. However, I’ve found that I don’t need to follow a strict diet. 3 weeks and these results!

I do however try to maintain a mostly clean, lower carb diet. I cut soda, cut out too much bread, and cut a bit of alcohol as well. Overall, I would never regret the choice that I made in buying this product and continue to drink it 3 years later.

It was a little pricey at first but so worth it! I do the Smartship for 22% off my ketones each month and I love sharing this magical drink with others!

Follow me on Instagram @bubbly_yogi to follow my journey and send me a PM if I can help you get started!

Keto OS Review of Flavors

Keto OS Orange Dream Version 2.1pruvit keto os orange flavor review

Pruvit’s Orange Dream contains a unique formula, including exegeneous ketones (BHB) mixed in an MCT oil blend extracted from coconuts.

The Orange has always been a big hit, because MCT can reduce appetite and aid in fat loss. MCT is also great for the brain and memory.

As Katie stated, the Orange Dream tastes like a creamscicle. It’s great thrown in a blender with water and ice!

Keto OS Chocolate Swirl Version 3.0keto os chocolate flavor

Pruvit recently released its new 3.0 edition of Keto OS – Chocolate Swirl! And with it comes a new and improved formula.

If you’re a chocolate lover, you’re going to love how this tastes – just like a tootsie roll. So What’s different about the formula?

  • Vegan, Dairy and Gluten Free so now there’s a product suitable for everyone.
  • Ratio of BHB salts optimized creating sustained ketone levels throughout the day
  • Ketogenic Amino Acids and Short Chained Fatty Acids were added, which use the same transporters as ketones making for quicker delivery into the system
  • Added a Prebiotic – helps with digestion

Keto Max Maui Punchketo os bio max review

Pruvit’s first Max product, and one of their most popular flavors, is the Keto Max Maui Punch, which tastes just like Hawaiian Punch!

The Max products pack the highest punch delivering the most pure and most bioavailable levels of ketones into the blood – 40% stronger than the Keto OS with a quicker uptake.

Keto Max BHB’s Max salts are exclusive to Pruvit, and are bioidentical to the ketone bodies your liver produces when in nutritional  ketosis.

Pruvit continually strives to improve their formulas, and the new Max formulas also contain coveted AC-11 for DNA repair.

The Max formulas are great as a preworkout supplement providing sustained energy, better fat burn, and quicker muscle recovery.

It also has a lighter flavor since it does not contain MCT oils like the Orange.

Bio Max is gluten free, dairy free, and Kosher certified and is offered in both charged and non-charged versions.

Keto Max Swiss Cacaomax swiss cacao sale

Pruvit’s Keto Max Swiss Cacao is made with real cocoa, and tastes like iced hot chocolate.

Swiss Cacao has the same “Max” formula as the Keto Max Maui Punch, allowing for a quicker and greater absorption rate of the ketones while providing maximum energy and fat loss.

The Swiss Cacao is gluten free, dairy free, and kosher certified and comes in both charged and decaf.

If you’ve tried the Keto OS Chocolate Swirl and it’s not chocolatey enough for you, you will love the Swiss Cacao!

Keto Max Raspberry Lemonade

Keto os reviews Raspberry LemonadeKeto Max Raspberry Lemonade was released over the summer 2017 and has been a huge hit!

The Raspberry Lemonade tastes similar to country time lemonade and is as refreshing as it sounds! A perfect mix of sweet and tart!

The Raspberry Lemonade tastes delicious just mixed with water and ice, or mixed with a sparkling water like La Croix.

If there’s one thing Pruvit has done with precision it’s continuing to release flavors that consumers love the flavors of, which keeps them happily drinking ketones.

The Keto-OS Raspberry Lemonade  is gluten free, dairy free and kosher certified.

Keto Max SplashKeto Splash flavor

The new Keto Max Splash is a light, citrusy fusion with hints of watermelon and grapfruit.

What’s different about it is that it contains AC-11 DNA repair and added Vitamins B3, B6 and B12. Awesome for energy and reverse aging.

But don’t worry, all the new Max formulas contain the coveted AC-11!

Keto Max Heart Tartketo os review

Keto Max Heart Tart was released on Valentine’s Day 2018 and we’ve never seen a quicker release to the permanent menu!

The fans loved it so much they practically forced Pruvit’s hand to produce more! Heart Tart has a light strawberry flavor and is easily chuggable.

As all the other Max formulas, it is gluten free, dairy free, and kosher certified, and contains the AC-11 for DNA repair.

Tip: mixing half Orange Dream and half Heart Tart tastes amazing, like sherbet! If you don’t like the Orange straight, it’s a great mixer flavor if you want the fat burning benefits of MCT.

Keto Kremenew keto kreme reviews

Pruvit’s Keto Kreme is their fat coffee creamer and is a sure fire way to ramp up fat loss and great for intermittent fasting!

You mix it with your coffee or tea, and drink.

Keto Kreme has 12 grams of fat per serving and is made from MCT, coconut oil and four different patented collagen blends, DC-11 (anti-aging DNA repair) and sweetened with Stevia.

My wife loves Keto Kreme with Chai tea. She’s added it to her morning routine and it keeps her feeling full and aids in fat burning.

While the Keto Kreme doesn’t contain exogeneous ketones like all three of the Keto OS flavors, it will help to naturally increase ketone production in your liver and if you don’t know by now, fat burns fat!t

Blue Ocean Unleashed (Amped)

keto blue ocean flavorPruvit’s new Blue Ocean Unleashed tastes like a pina colada!

Blue Ocean is the strongest ketones blend on the market, providing amped energy and appetite suppression.

It contains more caffeine and BHB (the ketone body) than Keto Max along with AC-11 DNA repair and provides fast and sustained energy. If you want the strongest ketones, go for the Blue!

Keto Reboot 60 Hour Fastketo os review

Pruvit’s new metabolic boss is the Keto Reboot, which is a kit with everything you need for a 60 hour fast.

The purpose of the Keto Reboot is to reset your diet, your metabolism, deplete all the glycogen from your body and get you into a deep fat burning state of ketosis.

The Keto Reboot kit contains Keto Max, Keto Kalm Teas, Better Broths (bone broths), and Signal-OS pills for DNA repair, there is no eating during the 60 hour reboot.

All the liquids contain high levels of BHB which suppress the appetite and keep you feeling energized.

We’re seeing great results with the reboot. If you have significant fat to lose (or even if you just need a quick ab shred), doing the reboot monthly and drinking daily ketones is a very effective method for fast results.

Is Keto OS Good for Men?

We didn’t want to leave the guys out of this Keto OS review! Ketones absolutely work just as well for men as it does for women.

Keto Os review
Before and Better, Results may vary

My brother- in- law started drinking keto and lost 18 lbs in just 6 weeks – check out his results!

He’s a high level executive and it gives him energy to stay sharp and focused throughout the day.

He actually mixes the Maui Punch with the Orange Dream and makes what he calls “fruity pebbles.”

The MCT in the orange also fills him up, he has to drive a lot for work, so it keeps him satiated on those long trips and keeps him  energized and focused.

Guys, if you’re on a low carb diet and need energy for workouts, or help staying in ketosis or need to shed fat, this is a great product to try.

Having another serving on the way to the gym is going to give you a definite boost in energy, increase performance, and put you right into ketosis to burn fat while preserving muscle.

Keto OS Review – Are There Any Side Effects?

As with any supplement, not everyone will have the same experience and we wanted to touch on that in this Keto OS review.

The recommendation is to start by drinking half of a packet of Keto OS per day for a couple days, to get used to it and adapt to the ketones.

The Charged version does have caffeine, so if you’re sensitive to caffeine you may want to opt for the caffeine free version, or only drink the Charged in the morning, otherwise it could have the potential to keep you up at night.

Some stomach upset can be normal but this should subside once you Keto adapt. If this happens to you, push through.

Where Can I buy KETO OS?

You can purchase Pruvit’s Keto OS online from their official website and it comes with a 100% 90 day money back guarantee.keto os review

Pruvit also has a good deal if you set up Smartship, you’ll get your ketones 22% off each month and cancel anytime or change flavors.

They have two versions of the drink powder, the On The Go (OTG) and Kan. The OTG is individual envelopes and the Kan is a container with a scoop.

Only the Keto OS Orange Dream and Chocolate Swirl come in a Kan, Max is all OTG.

They currently ship to the U.S., Canada, Australia and part of SE Asia.

Here are the current prices:

  • 15 servings (OTG) = $85
  • 20 servings (Max) = $130
  • 30 servings (Kan) = $144
  • 30 servings (OTG) = $160
  • 60 servings (Kan 30 + OTG 30) = $300
  • 90 servings – Family Pack (90  OTG Mix Pack, Orange Dream & Chocolate Swirl) = $408

ABOUT SMARTSHIP:  Smartship gives you a 22% off discount and will ship to you every 30 days, which is significant savings, and with no time commitment, we think this is the best deal.

When you sign up, it will show you your start date (30 days away). It’s easy to cancel, edit products and push out or push up the date. There is also no  commitment.

With that said, I recommend doing a “today and smartship” order so that you won’t be waiting for weeks to get your first shipment.

Recommendation

Keto OS has proven itself to be a fat burning, energy boosting supplement that REALLY does work on an outstanding level.

I’ve seen this stuff work for several of my immediate family members.

I would even classify it as one of the best female fat burners we’ve ever tested!

This product would be beneficial and is recommended for BOTH men and women.

And while Keto OS is pricey, there is no comparison when it comes to quality and tasty flavors that are enjoyable to drink, so we give Keto OS a big thumbs up!

We encourage you to check out the Keto OS website to learn more. They have a lot of videos, additional testimonials and very detailed information about the science behind this product.

I hope you enjoyed our Keto OS review!

Hydroxycut SX7 Review – Incinerates Fat?

Some companies making weight loss supplements will try to tell you they can do all the work for you.

Clearly it can be tempting to believe this, but don’t be fooled.

No matter how convincing their schtick might be, no supplement will make you lose weight if you keep eating junk and sitting around.

Hydroxycut has been a big name in the weight loss pill game for a while now.

They use hyped up marketing to be sure, but they stop short of trying to make you believe they do it for you.

In fact, they glorify the hard work you’ll need to do.

And they promise to help you do it.

What is Hydroxycut SX7?

Hydroxycut SX7 is the latest offering in the Hydroxycut line of weight loss supplements from MuscleTech.

It started out as a GNC exclusive, but at this point, you can get it from Amazon.com as well.

Each different Hydroxycut product is a powerful thermogenic in its own right, but they each have a slightly different focus.

For Hydroxycut SX7, it’s the feel-good sensory stimulation that it provides.

So far, Hydroxycut SX7 is getting some pretty solid word of mouth, so we decided it was time we had a look.

Hydroxycut SX7 ReviewHydroxycut SX7 Ingredients

The Hydroxycut SX7 formula consists of 7 ingredients, all hand picked for what they can add to this thermogenic powerhouse.

The list includes:

  • Myristica Fragrans which is hailed as the big find for Hydroxycut SX7. It’s actually a nutmeg seed containing a compound called Myristicin, which is where the claims of sensory stimulation come from.

You’ll feel a clean, non-jittery energy with clear focus.
  • Salvia Officinalis which supports the sensory experience with enhanced laser-like focus.
  • Ecklonia Cava, a brown algae, containing polyphenols, boosting nutrition for people maintaining a restricted calorie diet.
  • Caffeine, of course, for its contribution to thermogenesis, energy, appetite suppression, and focus.
  • Yohimbe which is also a stimulant, and like caffeine, can help ensure that fat cells can be released and used for energy.
  • Green Coffee which contains chlorogenic acid which can prevent fat from being stored by making sure your body uses sugar efficiently.

Recent studies have shown that taking green coffee extract results in greater weight loss than not taking it, both groups following a low calorie diet.
  • Raspberry Ketones which can boost your metabolic rate so you’re burning more fat and calories.

Raspberry Ketones can also help suppress your appetite so you’re eating less.

How To Use Hydroxycut SX7

The first thing you want to do when starting with Hydroxycut SX7is assess your tolerance by starting off slowly.

One the first and second days, take 1 capsule once a day 30-60 minutes before your largest meal.

On the third and fourth days, take 1 capsule twice daily before your 2 largest meals.

Once you know you tolerate it well, you can continue on with the standard dose of 1 capsules, 2 times a day with a full glass of water about 30-60 minutes before your two largest meals.

It’s recommended that those meals are breakfast and lunch, because taking Hydroxycut SX7 too late in the day could prevent you from getting a good night’s sleep.

After getting used to it, you can take an additional 1 capsule for an energy boost, but you’re not to exceed 3 capsules in a day.

Hydroxycut SX7 Reviews

Hydroxycut SX7 is popular enough and has been out long enough to have received a pretty good amount of feedback from customers.

In general, users are mainly having success with it.

The most commonly mentioned effect is the suppression of appetite:

Keith says: “It seems it took a few days to work but my appetite is next to nothing.

I now eat to fuel my body instead of eating like an idiot.

I have lost 8lbs in 2 weeks eating healthy foods because I do not have the cravings I used to have.”

Charlotte says: “My goal was appetite control, specifically sweet tooth control. This product is amazing.

After about three days of taking this, my appetite was finally under control. No jitters, no issues.

Love this product!! “

But it’s not all about appetite control.

There’s a lot of positive feedback when it comes to energy and fat burning too.

Hi says: “These give me energy and don’t give me the shakes I don’t feel like I am taking anything at all. “

Bryan says: “I bought this product in May and took it regularly for two and half months and I have to say that it does work and is the best and cleanest fat burner I have taken.”

Joan says: “I order my second bottle and during that time i lost 20 pounds .it worked for me .I am ordering a third bottle.”

On the flip side, some customers didn’t get such positive effects:

Domenic says: “Very Disappointed, ran, rode bikes, no change. Did not suppress appetite.

Wish I could get a refund because it was a waste of money.”

Franklin says: “Followed directions to a Tee.

Absolutely no results.”

Hydroxycut SX7 Side Effects

With both caffeine and yohimbe, you can expect to feel their stimulating effects. For some, it’s not an issue. For some, it is.

The FDA actually recommends against using yohimbe because of its potential to cause serious side effects.

Lots of guys can feel jittery from this, but for some, it can cause more serious problems like a racing heartbeat of a dangerous drop in blood pressure.

With that said, I haven’t seen any indication of these serious side effects playing out in the reviews I’ve seen. It doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened, but I haven’t heard of it.

Where to Buy

You can purchase Hydroxycut SX7 online at the GNC or Amazon, or in person at a GNC store.

At GNC, a 70-count bottle costs $59.99 and the 140-count bottle is $99.99. At Amazon, we’ve seen the 70-count bottle for $25.99.

Hydroxycut SX7 Pros and Cons

Advantages of Hydroxycut SX7

  • It gets mainly positive reviews from customers who’ve used it.
  • It’s made by one of the most popular weight loss pill makers around.
  • So far, there have barely been any side effects reported.

Disadvantages of Hydroxycut SX7

  • Judging from the reviews, it just isn’t effective for about 25% of users.
  • It’s not cheap.
  • While we haven’t seen any evidence of problems, some of the ingredients have the potential to cause serious side effects.

Conclusion

Hydroxycut SX7 is the newest addition to the Hydroxycut weight loss line. The formula doesn’t necessarily look stronger than the others, but people respond differently to different substances, so Hydroxycut is making a go with this formula.

So far, customer feedback looks good, so if you’re looking for the next great thing in diet pills, give Hydroxycut SX7 a try.

StrongGirl Pre Workout Review – Do You Need It?

Most of the products we reivew are geared toward men. The truth is, most of our readers are men. But they’re not all men, and even when they are, they’ve got wives, girlfriends, sisters, mothers, and daughters, so every once in a while, we veer from our regular formula and review a product made for women.

StrongGirl Pre Workout is a pre workout supplement designed and marketed for women. You can make the argument that many, if not most, pre workouts are fine for men and women both, and that’s true.

But “fine for women” and “made for women” are not the same thing.

StrongGirl Pre Workout is specifically made to work with a woman’s body to help her achieve the best workout she’s capable of, every time.

StrongGirl Pre Workout Promises

On the StrongGirl Pre Workout product website, they make a few promises to get you interested.

They are that StrongGirl Pre Workout is:

  • Formulated specifically for women.
  • Developed using a scientifically researched key ingredient.
  • Free of banned substances.
  • Free from harmful impurities.
  • Free from undeclared substances.

And while living up to these promises, StrongGirl Pre Workout claims to be a powerful and energizing formula.

Explosive strength and intensity combined with endurance and recovery, all in an easily mixed delicious pre workout powder in flavors designed to women’s tastes.

Strong Girl Pre Workout ReviewStrongGirl Pre Workout Ingredients

Of course, promises are one thing.

What we’re more interested in is whether or not StrongGirl Pre Workout can deliver. For that, we first look to the formula.

Most of the ingredients in StrongGirl Pre Workout are found in lots of other pre workout formulas, for both men and women. Almost the entire formula is put into a proprietary blend, so we don’t know how much of each ingredient is used.

Here’s what’s in the proprietary blend:

  • Beta Alanine to provide long lasting endurance.

When you work out, lactic acid builds up in your muscles, causing them to feel fatigued. You know the feeling it causes.

Your muscles almost tell you flat out, “I’m not doing this anymore!” That’s lactic acid.

Beta Alanine prevents lactic acid from building up in your muscles, so you and keep pushing on.
  • Taurine which boosts hydration during your toughest workouts and increases fat burning during cardio.
  • Green Tea Extract. The EGCGs in Green Tea are thermogenic. This is true.

But more than that, recent studies with only women as subjects have shown that it increases strength.
  • L-Carnitine L-Tartrate which boosts metabolism and supports muscle growth.

It’s a rare ingredient in that it serves both weight loss and muscle building processes at the same time.
  • Caffeine which provides an energy and focus boost while stimulating metabolism and suppressing appetite.
  • Quercetin which provides natural energy before and effective recovery after you workouts.

Its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-histamine properties are good in any supplement.
  • Choline Bitartrate which helps maintain even energy throughout your entire workout.
  • Japanese Raisin Tree Extract which helps maintain proper hydration levels.
  • Rhodiola Extract which is an adaptagen that helps your body adapt in stressful situations.

This leads to increased energy and endurance, as well as better post workout recovery.
  • L-Theanine which can mitigate the negative side effects of caffeine.
  • And they add a bit of Vitamin B6 and B12 for an all day energy boost with no crash

So StrongGirl Pre Workout really isn’t much different from other pre workouts, not designed for women. It’s just the addition of Green Tea, with its latest study using only women, that gives the impression its just for women.

How To Use StrongGirl Pre Workout

At first, you need to assess your tolerance.

This means taking a lowered dose so that if you get hit hard with the stimulants or any of the other ingredients, the effect will be muted.

It also gets your body acclimated to the ingredients so within a few days, you can get the benefits of the full dose.

One Day 1 and Day 2, mix one scoop with water and drink about 30-45 minutes before working out.

If all goes well, on Day 3, use 2 scoops.

This is the dose you take from them on.

It comes in 2 female-friendly flavors straight out of a Sex and the City episode: Cosmopolitan Fruit Punch and Strawberry Mojito.

It’s not recommended that you exceed the 2 scoop limit in the a 24-hour period.

StrongGirl Pre Workout Reviews

The overwhelming majority of StrongGirl Pre Workout reviews I’ve seen are very favorable, and the raves encompass just about every category you can think of.

Here are some examples:

“Worked 12 hours, hit the gym at 8pm, 30min steady state cardio on stair mill, 30 min HIIT on stair mill, followed by 2hrs of heavy glute training! Was on fire for a solid 3 hours!!! “

“I am actually obsessed with this pre work out.

I have tried many other pre work outs that haven’t really done the trick, or proven to be effective.

I had an increase of energy and strength on this pre-workout.

It helped pushed me through tougher sets.”

“I love the flavor and the energy as opposed to some other brands of pre workouts I’ve tried.

It definitely doesn’t come on as intensely which I like, but you can feel it help you push through a great workout.”

“What I love most about this pre-workout is that I didn’t get the shakes and the heart palpatations that a get from a lot of other pre-workout formulas.

This pre-workout gave me a great, clean energy with zero crash.”

And there are plenty more where those came from.

There are a few less than positive reviews, but very few.

StrongGirl Pre Workout Pros and Cons

Advantages of StrongGirl Pre Workout

  • It gets great reviews.
  • According to most users, it mixes well and tasted great.
  • It fills a perceived need for a pre workout for women.

Disadvantages of StrongGirl Pre Workout

  • There’s not really a need for a women’s pre workout.

And if there is, StrongGirl Pre Workout doesn’t really fill it.

Conclusion

Judging by the abundance of positive reviews, StrongGirl Pre Workout is a good solid pre workout supplement.

It’s marketed toward women, but in reality, there’s nothing in it that makes it better suited to women than men. The simple fact is most preworkouts are fine for both genders.

The trick is finding the one that’s best for you.

Slim Trim Review – Affordable and Effective?

There are so many diet supplements on the market, it’s tough to keep them straight.

This is made even more true when a bunch of different products use practically the same name.

Take Slim Trim, for example.

When I heard about it and started looking into it, the first thing I saw was an FDA warning letterthat it contained a banned substance. But don’t run off too quickly.

That warning letter was a referring to a different product, called Slim Trim U.

Slim Trim, as far as we can tell, has not run afoul of the FDA because of illicit ingredients or anything else.

But that’s not the only diet pill with a similar name.

In addition to Slim Trim and Slim Trim U, there’s also Slim Trim PM, Slim Trim 2000, and even Trim Slim.

Try not to let it confuse you.

If you’re having trouble figuring out which supplement we’re talking about, take a look at the picture just to the right.

That’s the Slim Trim we mean.

What Is Slim Trim?

Slim Trim ReviewSlim Trim is a diet pill available online. You can purchase it through its official website as well as on Amazon.com. The advertising is pretty low key.

In fact, there isn’t a whole lot of information or feedback available about the supplement.

But we dug and dug until we found what we needed to write an informative review.

Slim Trim Benefits

By taking Slim Trim, you’ll find everything you want in a diet pill in terms of benefits.

Slim Trim:

  • Burns Fat.
  • Suppresses Appetite.
  • Stimulates Your Metabolism.

The three pillars of effective weight loss!

But aren’t these the promises of every weight loss pill? What makes Slim Trim different?

What makes it the one that’s finally going to break through your plateaus and continue on your way to success?

The answer to that would lie in the formula.

Slim Trim Ingredients

The Slim Trim website doesn’t offer a whole lot of information, but we do get an ingredient list, in the form of a product label.

The formula is part listed ingredients with amounts and part proprietary blend.

We’ll go with the listed ingredients first:

  • 200 mcg of Chromium.

Without enough Chromium, your body’s ability to handle insulin is less efficient.

With sufficient chromium, sugars, fats, proteins, and carbs are metabolized and tolerated better.

The recommended daily intake for healthy adults is 50-200mcg.
  • 400 mg of Green Tea Leaf Extract (with 200mg of EGCG).

Studies are showing that the active ingredient in green tea (EGCG) is beneficial to metabolism and weight loss.

The recommended dose is 270 mg of EGCG per day.
  • 300 mg of Guarana Seed Extract.

Weight loss benefits of Guarana come mainly from its caffeine content.

The stimulant can provide energy and suppress appetite.

The typical effective dose is 800 mg taken before a meal.
  • 100 mg of Green Coffee Bean Extract.

The active compound in Green Coffee Bean Extract is Chlorogenic acid, which helps promote weight loss.

How it works exactly is unknown, but it’s thought to prevent storage of carbohydrates as fat.

The effective dose depends on the concentration of chlorogenic acid, and ranges from 240mg – 3,000mg.

The Slim Trim Proprietary Blend includes Acai Fruit Extract, Raspberry Ketones, Hoodia Gordonii, Cinnamon Bark, Cayenne Pepper, and Resveratrol.

These are all beneficial to weight loss in their own way, but the fact that they’re couched in a proprietary blend means that there’s unlikely to be enough to have much of an effect.

How To Use Slim Trim

The bottle recommends taking 2 capsules once a day with a meal.

Given the appetite suppression effects, I would recommend taking it about 20 minutes to half an hour before a meal.

The bottle also states that you should use Slim Trim in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise program for best results.

This isn’t a product that promises to take the weight off without effort on your part.

Where to Buy Slim Trim

As we mentioned above, Slim Trim is available through the product website as well as through Amazon.com.

On the official website, a single bottle of 30 pills costs $9.99 while a single bottle of 60 pills costs $19.99. The 60 pill bottle will last for a month.

You can also find Slim Trim at Amazon where a 60 count bottle sells for $12.34. So this would be your best bet if you decided to purchase it.

How To Use Slim Trim Reviews

Because Slim Trim is available on Amazon, there are a few customer reviews to help us out with getting a sense of how it’s working for people in the real world. And to be honest, the news is not particuluar good.

There is one very positive review in which Romey says: “It really works. No jitters, no change in sleep patterns.

Drink plenty of water and you will see a change in your appearance.”

But most of the rest are luke warm or worse:

John says, “Sorry Didn’t work for me.”

Ailaa says, “I personally don’t feel like it did me much good.

I had more energy when I was taking these but as for weight loss, I was dieting and exercising and this didn’t give me any boost.

It wasn’t until I stopped taking them that I actually lost 2 lbs 3 weeks after taking them.”

Who Makes Slim Trim?

This information was next to impossible to find.

The Slim Trim website provides an “About Us” section, but it doesn’t state anything other than their mission to help people lose weight.

The contact information provided does not include a physical address, so it was difficult to know where the company is located.

We finally found a clue in the email address provided that the parent company is called Inergetics.

They make a few different supplements, and they have a website, but the only additional information we learned there is that they’re based in Newark, NJ.

Slim Trim Pros and Cons

Advantages of Slim Trim

  • It’s inexpensive.
  • Many of the ingredient amounts are listed, providing useful information on the effectiveness of Slim Trim.
  • The ingredients are all natural.
  • The marketing isn’t over-hyped with crazy promises of massive weight loss with zero effort.

Disadvantages of Slim Trim

  • The majority of reviews from customers who’ve used it say it just doesn’t work.

Conclusion

Slim Trim is likely very safe and mildly effective for helping curb your appetite when you’re trying to lose weight.

But I’m afraid the benefits don’t go much beyond that.

The dosing for the main ingredients is just to low to be effective, and the customer reviews bear this out. Slim Trim is affordable, this is true.

But there are better weight loss products offer more in terms of value for your dollar.

AGR Body Review – Can It Work?

Workout supplements are our primary focus here at SupplementCritique.com, but we’re also interested in diet and workout plans too.

Anything that gets us and keeps us in great shape, really.

So when the AGR Body program was brought to our attention, we decided to take a look.

What is AGR Body?

Otherwise known as Adonis Golden Ratio, AGR Body is a 12 week system created by John Barban, a weight loss and nutrition specialist and author.

The theory it’s based on is that by using certain details of your specific age and body type, a tailored diet and exercise program can be created to help you get in the best shape possible.

With focus on burning fat, boosting metabolism, increasing testosterone production, and building muscle, AGR Body is custom made for men who want to lose fat, gain muscle, and feel great about the way they look and function.

How Does AGR Body Work?

AGR Body ReviewAGR Body is a 12 week system of exercise and nutrition designed for men to boost metabolism and testosterone with the goal of burning fat and putting on lean muscle mass.

It’s targeted for each individual guy, based on weight, age, and body type.

According to John Barban, this is the key to real and effective weight loss for men. Most diets and programs don’t work for men because they’re not set up to.

Men need elevated testosterone levels and a boosted metabolism if their going to get fit.

And the key to getting these is knowing and accommodating your body shape.

Why The Focus on Testosterone?

Most teenage boys can eat anything they want and never gain weight.

The fact that they’re fueling growth is one reason.

High metabolisms and tons of testosterone may be another.

As guys age, our bodies simply make less testosterone than they used to.

As this happens, we start putting on belly fat, we lose muscle mass, we have less energy, and we feel less interested in sex.

At its most basic level, all the things that make us feel like a man as we were moving through adolescence start to wane.

Increasing testosterone lifts your metabolism and fat burning capacity, and brings back the propensity to gain and hold lean muscle mass.

What Comes with the AGR Body Program

AGR Body is a completely online program.

When you buy the system, you gain access to all the materials, which can be reached with any computer, laptop, tablet, or phone with an internet connection.

The components you’ll get are:

  • The Theory of Ideal Proportions guide which details the concept of how your body shape influences what you should eat to boost metabolism and testosterone.
  • The Training Program along with instructional video.

It’s completely customizable so you can enter the program at your current fitness level and move up through the ranks as you go.
  • The Nutrition Software.

This is where you create the meal plan that works for you, complete with all the foods you need to include and avoid for your most ideal results.
  • Access to the Community.

Numerous studies show that weight loss success is enhanced when subjects are part of a community sharing the same experiences.
  • Meal Plans actually listed out so you can plan ahead and be ready without scrambling, which often leads to mistakes.

What Doesn’t Come With the AGR Body Program

The most notably missing component is supplements.

The AGR Body program likes to promote the fact that they can help you boost metabolism and testosterone, lose weight, and gain muscle mass, all without the help of “Pills, Powders, or Potions.”

Once you’re in the program, however, they do make some recommendations for supplements you might want to try.

What Kinds of Foods Are Allowed

The Shape Specific Nutritional program used by AGR Body allows mainly for proteins, healthy fats, and vegetables.

It’s not specified as a low carb program, but it is similar.

This is because older men with less testosterone process carbohydrates less efficiently than younger guys.

It’s less likely that young guys with lots of testosterone will end up storing excess carbohydrates as fat, more likely that older guys will.

Knowing what to eat and when according to what your body shape says about your hormone profile is key to getting in shape with the AGR Body program.

The shape of your body indicates how you use insulin, and how much extra insulin you have.

If your body shape indicates an excess of insulin, you need to strategize when to eat carbs and what to eat them with to minimize insulin release.

Who Is John Barban

The AGR Body system was created by John Barban, so we wanted to learn a little about who he is.

Unfortunately, there’s not much to know, beyond this program, and its sister program for women, the Venus Factor.

He is a nutritionist and weight loss author, but other than these two programs, we didn’t find any additional credentials.

How Much Does AGR Body Cost?

The AGR Body system is available to purchase online through the official program website.

You can receive access to all the materials for $37. There’s also a 60-day money back guarantee. It states that if you’re not completely satisfied you get it free.

I’m not sure if that means you still have full access, or that your access is revoked.

AGR Body Pros and Cons

Advantages of AGR Body

  • It’s a complete system.

When it comes to getting in shape, lots of people respond well when given a complete program to work with.
  • There’s a money back guarantee.
  • The system is not contingent on using a lot of supplements.

Disadvantages of AGR Body

  • There are a few AGR Body reviews out there stating that once you get the system, you are continually asked to buy more supporting products, like supplements.

That the $37 price tag is really just a teaser to pull you in and get you to buy more.
  • There aren’t a lot of positive testimonials floating around. This either means that it’s not very popular, or that people don’t really find it all that useful.
  • I’ve seen complaints that the system is too customizable, making it difficult to navigate.

Conclusion

The most important key to losing weight and gaining muscle is finding a program that you like enough to stick with.

That’s why there are so many options.

They’re all trying to strike a chord with consumers, so they keep coming back.

I have little doubt that if you navigate the AGR Body system correctly and stick with it, you will get in shape. But there is some concern that navigating it may be difficult.

Benefits of Nootropics

So Far:

And in this chapter were going to talk about the meat and potatoes of the subject… what their benefits are.

We’ve explained some of the advantages of taking nootropics, particularly in regards to focus, learning and memory.

But your inner skeptic might be wondering… Where’s the proof?

That’s fine…skepticism is normal.

Sometimes, to be persuaded, you need quantified results – which we will deliver.

Impact on Memory, Attention and Learning

Nootropics enhance normal mental functioning.

In 1976, two researchers at University College in Cardiff, Wales performed a small study on the effects of piracetam in normal subjects.

The study consisted of 16 healthy 2nd and 3rd year students (12 males, 4 females).

  • The subjects were given 4.8 grams a day of either piracetam or placebo for 14 days.
  • The students were told to learn a series of words presented as stimuli on a memory drum.
  • No effects were observed after 7 days, but verbal learning increased after 14 days.

The researchers found clear evidence for improvement in verbal learning due to piracetam administration.

The majority of students had intellectually demanding jobs, and had claimed a slight decrease in their ability to recall or retain data.

nootropics benefits

After receiving 4.8 grams of piracetam per day, the students were given placebo for 4 weeks.

Results of the paper and pencil tests and the computerized tests to measure perceptual motor reactions indicated that piracetam has greater effects on performance than placebo.

The results of this study were summarized in the influential and provocatively titled paper “Increase in the Power of Human Memory in Normal Man through the Use of Drugs.”

Low Toxicity

On a toxicological level, nootropics are among the safest substances ever developed.

Toxicity studies on nootropics have been performed on humans and a wide range of animals, including mice, goldfish, rats, rabbits, cats, dogs, guinea pigs and monkeys.

In acute toxicity trials – where rats received 8g of intravenous doses of piracetam and rats, dogs and mice got the same amount orally – there was no toxicity. Note that this is the equivalent to 560-700g for a human weighing 154 pounds.

For 6 months, rats were given 100-1000mg orally; and for one year, dogs received 10,000mg orally.

No toxicity and no teratogenic (which causes birth defects) were found.

Effects on Stroke, Dementia and Brain Trauma

Nootropics have shown positive effects in patients suffering from stroke, dementia and brain injury.

Aphasic Stroke

Aphasia – a condition that affects the ability to communicate – usually happens after a stroke or head injury.

The condition negatively impacts speech and the ability to understand verbal and written communication.

In some cases, aphasia can occur gradually due to a degenerative disease or slow-growing brain tumor.

Language and speech therapy are the primary treatments for aphasia; however, piracetam has been found to have a beneficial effect on the recovery of aphasic stroke.

In one study, 24 aphasic patients were given 4.8g daily doses of piracetam, while 26 patients received placebo.

  • Both the piracetam and placebo groups had similar symptoms in terms of type and severity.
  • The study did not include people suffering from mild aphasia, and all of the patients had been healthy prior to experiencing a stroke or brain trauma.
  • The subjects underwent 10 intensive 60-minute language therapy sessions.

The result?

Piracetam had a significantly favorable effect on the written language subtest.

On the communicative ability scale, the piracetam group’s scores in spontaneous speech improved.

Also, no adverse effects were reported in the piracetam group.

While this was only one trial and can hardly be considered definitive, another study on these same subjects confirmed that piracetam can boost written language skills plus reduce the severity of the subjects’ aphasia (Poeck, 1998).

Dementia

Dementia is the loss of intellectual abilities, resulting in a serious inability to perform everyday tasks.

It’s not a disease in itself, but rather the term used to describe an extensive range of symptoms linked to a decline in memory and other thinking skills.

Alzheimer’s disease is the most prevalent form of dementia.

Elderly individuals with Alzheimer’s frequently display a lower “hydrocarbon core” (which is associated with the cell membranes) fluidity than elderly people who don’t have the disease.

In a study involving in vitro administration of piracetam, the dementia patients’ hydrocarbon core fluidity went up to the same level as the non-demented elderly.

On top of that, piracetam enhanced the fluidity of those who did not have the disease.

For both groups, piracetam was shown to decrease age-related alterations of membrane fluidity (Eckert et al., 1999).

An analysis of this research revealed that individuals treated with piracetam showed a 60.9 percent improvement, compared to a 32.5 percent improvement in those treated with placebo.

Like its sister compound piracetam, aniracetam has proven to be effective in selective areas.

In three different animal studies, researchers found aniracetam to have anxiolytic (anti-anxiety) properties.

We will, however, spare you the dreary details by providing just one example. And we will keep things interesting by engaging in a bit of sibling rivalry….

In one of the studies, aniracetam was found to be superior to piracetam, which has been monopolizing the nootropics research spotlight for decades.

It’s time for aniracetam to shine.

The purpose of the study, which was conducted throughout Western Europe, was to determine whether aniracetam could benefit people ages 68 to 80 who had mild to moderate cognitive impairment and met the criteria for likely having dementia stemming from Alzheimer’s.

  • One group received 1500mg of aniracetam, another group got 2400mg of piracetam, and the last group was given placebo.
  • Each group took their doses daily for a 6-month period.
  • Throughout the trial, the placebo group’s mental health continued to deteriorate.

The result?

The aniracetam group experienced few side effects, and the ones that were present were so mild and transitory that no subject had to stop treatment as a result. On top of that, aniracetam proved to be even more effective than piracetam in this trial, and has shown to have anxiolytic effects in animal studies.

Brain Trauma

A traumatic brain injury happens when an external force causes the brain to dysfunction, such as a violent blow to the head or body.

It can also occur when an object, such as a bullet, pierces the skull.

Phenylpiracetam has been approved in Russia for correcting cerebrovascular deficiency, focusing attention, ameliorating apathy, and slowing memory decline.

Phenylpiracetam is even prescribed to astronauts in Russia who use it to sharpen their physical and mental abilities while in space (Malykh & Sadaie, 2010).

Phenylpiracetam is especially noteworthy because it’s fast-acting and absorbs well orally.

The compound has enhanced the cognition scores of people with cognitive impairment or depression following encephalopathy, and brain injuries such as acute lesions, gliomas surgery and brain traumas.

In one study, phenylpiracetam performed even better than piracetam because it worked substantially faster to mend cognitive injury, along with ridding the patients of headaches. Piracetam, defeated again!

And not for the last time either…

Pramiracetam has been reported to improve cognitive deficits resulting from brain trauma.

Ukrainian studies found that pramiracetam is superior to piracetam at restoring memory loss in patients suffering from mild craniocerebral trauma (Malykh & Sadaie, 2010).

In addition, Italian researchers found that pramiracetam was 50 percent more effective than placebo in reducing amnesia-related effects caused by scopolamine intoxication.

Why We Need Choline, Vitamins and Supplements

Choline deficiency can increase the risk of DNA damage.

Choline and its derivatives are not vitamins per se, but in 1998 they were recognized by the Institute of Medicine as being necessary to maintaining human health.

Basically, choline is the precursor to the neurotransmitter acetylcholine which is involved in muscle control and memory.

To reinforce the importance of choline, the Linus Pauling Institute issued a warning about choline deficiency, which can cause DNA damage and fatty liver.

In a study involving 57 people who were on a choline-deficient diet, 80 percent of the postmenopausal women, 44 percent of the premenopausal women, and 77 percent of the men had liver damage, fatty liver, or muscle damage of some sort.

Estrogen levels might have been the issue with the premenopausal women; however, adding choline to the subjects’ diets fixed the problem rather quickly.

Huperzia serrata is a plant that contains the alkaloid huperzine A, another treatment that, for whatever reason, all too often gets swept under the rug and isn’t given the attention it deserves.

WebMd has a great section on huperzine A’s function in the treatment of age-related memory problems and Alzheimer’s disease.

This supplement shows promise in improving memory, learning and energy levels.

As previously discussed, huperzine A belongs to a group of cholinergics known as acetylcholinesterase inhibitors.

By blocking the activity of the enzyme responsible for breaking down acetylcholine, huperzine A increases the amount of acetylcholine present in the brain and lengthens the duration.

Vitamins and Supplements

Taking B-complex vitamin supplements is especially important because many of us don’t get enough of them in our diets.

Whole processed foods have the highest amounts of B vitamins, but it’s often difficult to find them in local grocery stores.

B vitamins include: B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9 and B12. That’s a lot of siblings, and deficiency in any of them will result in complications.

For instance, severe, persistent thiamine (B1) deficiency can cause limb pain, irregular heartbeat, edema and even death.

Thiamine deficiency can also cause all sorts of neurological dysfunctions that affect memory, coordination and vision.

Smokers, alcoholics, coffee drinkers and people who eat large amounts of certain kinds of fish are all at risk for developing thiamine deficiency.

You will find that each B vitamin has its own benefits.

Folic acid (B9) deficiency in pregnant women can cause birth defects and impaired mental functioning in other people.

However, studies indicate that folic acid supplementation may reduce symptoms of depression.

Pyridoxine (B6) relieves depression, memory problems and peripheral neuropathies caused by dietary deficiencies.

It can also reduce women’s chances of developing macular degeneration, the leading cause of vision loss.

Biotin (B7) plays a crucial role in metabolism, and is necessary for glucose and amino acids production.

Biotin deficiency can cause vomiting, anorexia, dermatitis and neurological symptoms, including lethargy, hallucinations and peripheral neuropathy.

Liver, egg yolks, kidney and nuts are all good sources of biotin.

If you cannot access these foods, try cereal or biotin supplements (Schnepp, 2002).

Bacopa monierri (brahmi) is a plant native to India that has been traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine for a host of problems, especially those dealing with anxiety and intellect.

In rat studies, brahmi improved memory retention and reduced amnesia caused by electroconvulsive shock, scopolamine intoxication and/or immobilization.

In a study involving humans, brahmi did not have a significant effect on subjects’ short term memory.

But it improved their scores on recalling unrelated word pairs (Roodenrys et al., 2002).

We definitely cannot end this chapter without extending a shout-out to sulbutiamine, a nootropic related to thiamine (B1), but has a greater ability to cross the blood-brain barrier than its parent compound.

Sulbutiamine has shown promise in the treatment of asthenia and memory impairment.

Stay tuned for a behind-the-scenes look at how nootropics work.

It’s funny how when something becomes relevant to you, all of a sudden, you start seeing it and hearing about it everywhere.

The truth is, it’s not really all of a sudden at all. It’s been there all along.

You just weren’t paying attention.

That’s kind of how it is with testosterone support.

As we get older, we start noticing radio and television ads, magazine ads, and online ads, all talking about how this or that testosterone booster is the one you need.

Beyond that, there is without a doubt somewhat of what you could call a revolution in the world of testosterone treatments whether it be hormone replacement therapy, prescription medications or supplements that are widely available with the same goal in mind.

It is hard to sift through the good and the bad, especially when they all make claims that we so badly want to hear related to the many benefits that come with having low testosterone.

Supplements like Blackcore Edge, Spartagen XT, and Test x180 Ignite all make the same promises, but in many cases don’t do anything.

The age isn’t necessarily the same for everyone.

For some, it’s 35. The lucky ones don’t notice till they hit 40 or 45. But rest assured, their time will come.

This is a very concentrated extract of Ashwagandha with a higher potency than any other Ashwagandha on the market.

It acts as an adaptogen which means it boosts the body’s ability to respond appropriately to physical and/or mental stressors.

It does this while also supporting healthy testosterone levels.
  • Chromax.

This derivative of Chromium Picolinate helps reduce fat and preserve lean muscle mass.

Its primary mechanism of action is that it improves your body’s metabolism of carbohydrates.
  • Bioperine.

This form of black pepper has been clinically shown to increase the bioavailability of other ingredients within a supplement, making the supplement as a whole more effective.

Additional supporting ingredients in the formula include:

  • Cordyceps which has been used in Chinese medicine for centuries.

It enhances energy and improves athletic performance.
  • Zinc which has a positive correlation with increased testosterone within the body.

In blood tests, higher zinc levels are often present alongside higher testosterone levels.

It also supports a healthy immune system.
  • DIM (Diindolylmethane) which helps maintain the right balance between estrogen and testosterone.
  • Vitamin D3 which increases proper absorption of calcium and phosphate, leading to improved testosterone levels.
  • Vitamin B6 and B12 which provide all day energy without the crash, as well as antioxidants to protect cells from free radical damage.

How To Use Weider Prime Testosterone Support

The recommended dose is 2 capsules per day.

The preferred method is to take them together, but you could take them one at a time, say one in the morning and one in the afternoon, if you like.

It’s also recommended that you take them with food.

This is to prevent any potential for an upset stomach.

It’s also strongly recommended that if you want the absolute best results, you should work out and eat a healthy diet while taking Weider Prime Testosterone Support.

Weider Prime Testosterone Support Side Effects

All the ingredients in Weider Prime Testosterone Support are considered safe, though that’s not to say there’s no chance of any side effects.

Any supplement could cause the occasional headache or upset stomach for any particular user.

Who Makes Weider Prime Testosterone Support

This product is actually a marriage of two companies coming together to create one product. Mdrive built the formula, choosing each ingredient for its ability to reach the goal, while Weider Prime is the brains behind putting out the product, marketing it, and getting it sold.

Weider Prime Testosterone Support Reviews

We came across a few testimonials on the Weider Prime website, but these are hard to consider independent.

I prefer to put stock into the more independent reviews, like on Amazon.com.

But since Weider Prime Testosterone Support isn’t sold there, we had to go with what we have:

Richard says: “I love this so much because it gives me more energy and endurance specially the work I do, now I don’t feel tired even in a 16 hours work shift thanks to Weider Prime. “

Robert says: “Since the start of taking Weider prime I noticed a difference right away.

Not only did I feel more focused but my over all stress levels seemed to change and I found myself being much calmer during situations that normally would anger me or just send me over the edge.

I had a renewed energy that I lost a long time ago and now I feel motivated to move and do more.”

Michael says: “I am 39 years old; For me, it has definitely helped with leaner muscle mass; I was already quite lean but it has improved my situation quite a bit.

Also, I have more energy when I exercise and play sports.”

Weider Prime Testosterone Support Pros and Cons

Advantages of Weider Prime Testosterone Support

  • It’s available at Costco which is a huge plus for guys who don’t want to buy their supplements online.
  • It’s fairly inexpensive.
  • You get a 2 month supply in one bottle.

Disadvantages of Weider Prime Testosterone Support

  • The formula doesn’t really contain anything that boosts testosterone levels.

It dances around the subject, but doesn’t really make it there.
  • We weren’t able to find independent Weider Prime Testosterone Support reviews.

Where to Buy

You can buy Weider Prime Testosterone Support online or at Cosco. The Weider Prime Testosterone Support website sells the 2 month bottle for $59.99, and I believe the price at Costco is the same or close to the same.At $30 a month, that puts Weider Prime Testosterone Support on the low end of the testosterone booster price range.

Conclusion

I have personally tested dozens of testosterone boosting supplements, but unfortunately have not had a chance to try this one out yet. I have no problem saying Weider Prime Testosterone Support is probably safe, and it may even be a beneficial supplement. But I don’t see how it calls itself a testosterone booster.

With essentially none of the traditional testosterone boosting ingredients, you’d be better off choosing something more focused on the matter at hand.

CogniMaxx XL Review – The Real Limitless Pill?

Smart pills are becoming all the rage.

Judging by the emails I get every day, I wouldn’t be surprised if these brain boosters are the fastest growing segment in the entire supplement industry.

They’ve actually been around in some form or another for decades, but their popularity really exploded when Bradley Cooper starred in a movie called Limitless in 2011.

Cooper’s character starts out as kind of a hapless loser, but he takes this Limitless Pill, and all of a sudden he’s using his full brain capacity to become incredibly productive and successful overnight.

He makes millions in the stockmarket, he writes a novel in one night, and is well on his way to bringing peace to the Middle East before the bad guys try to take him down.

When it first came out, everyone thought it was just fiction, the kind of thing that only happens in the movies.

But along came supplements like CogniMaxx XL, saying they have what it takes to turn that kind of potential into reality.

CogniMaxx XL Benefits

Cognitive capacity does indeed drop off somewhat as we age.

That’s why you see those brain programs like Luminosity.

But according to an “article” you may have read:

cognimaxx xl claims (2)

In fact, this same article states that CogniMaxx XL was the actual pill used in the Limitless movie.

When we first read this article, we smelled a rat.

Just look at that last bullet point again.

So, if you’re a relatively bright guy with an IQ of say 110, CogniMaxx XL will increase it to 194. Stephen Hawking has an IQ of 160, so their data is questionable to say the least.

More About The “Article”

Let’s talk a little more about this Forbes article that’s getting so much attention. You’ve probably read it.

It may even be the reason you’re here.

When we first read it, a few red flags popped up immediately, so we looked closer, and that’s when we became convinced that the whole thing is just pretty much a fake.

cognimaxx xl warren buffet (2)

  • They want you to believe the article comes from Forbes Magazine. Itdoesn’t.

The URLis from the Cognimaxx XL website domain.
  • And they want you to believe Warren Buffet endorses Cognimaxx XL. Hedoesn’t.

Notice, there’s no quote from him about how Cognimaxx XL helps him make his billions.

There’s no quote from him about anything.

If he were using it and promoting it, there would be a quote.

There have been lots of legitimate profiles done over the years on Warren Buffet and the secrets to his success.

None of them mention a brain pill and none of them mention CogniMaxx XL.

The truth is, the article really isn’t an article at all.

It’s an advertisement trying to look like an article, hoping to gain an air of legitimacy.

Here’s more evidence:

CogniMaxx XL Clinical Trials

The article makes a big deal about how CogniMaxx XL has been clinically tested at The Nottingham Clinical Trials Unit (NCTU).

cognimaxx xl nctu (2)

It says The NCTU has conducted over 2000 trials on CogniMaxx XL and its secret ingredient, Bee Pollen, but we have a couple of problems with this statement:

  • There’s no mention of CogniMaxx XL or Bee Pollen anywhere on the NCTU website.
  • If you look up the uses and benefits of Bee Pollen on WebMD, cognitive enhancement is not even on the list of potential uses.

By my count, we’re up to at least 2 strikes for this “article.” Here’s number 3.

The Tweet

The article references a tweet put out by the Limitless Movie when it first came out:

cognimaxx xl limitless tweet (2)

But… the movie came out in 2011. We can’t find any evidence that CogniMaxx XL came on the scene before 2014. So that Tweet just didn’t happen. While looking into this, we found the real original tweet, and a similarly Photoshopped one for a different product.

Check these out:

original limitless-tweet

and

Neuro3x limitless tweet

The Other Phony Article

Just for good measure, we’ll take it to 4 strikes.

The article mentions a previous Forbes article touting the amazing benefits of CogniMaxx XL.

The article was supposedly written in February 2014 by Robert Langreth.

Robert Langreth was indeed a reporter who worked at Forbes.com, but he left in 2011 for a job at Bloomberg.

cognimaxx xl forbes (2)

The real articlethat this one is pretending to be was actually written in 2002, and there’s no mention of CogniMaxx XL in at at all.

CogniMaxx XLdidn’t even exist at that point.

And if you’re still not convinced, here’s the clincher.

Right at the foot of the article, there’s little note:

cognimaxx xl disclaimer (2)

It’s says right there, in gray text on black background so you can hardly read it, that this page has NO AFFILIATION with Forbes.

So, if you still believe this is a Forbes article, I guess we’re going to have to agree to disagree.

But Does CogniMaxx XL Work?

Hopefully, you’re getting the picture here.

There was no article in Forbes Magazine about the amazing new pill and its potential to make you a super smart billionaire. But what do we know about CogniMaxx XL?

Maybe it isn’t as phenomenal as they say, but does it work?

Can it make you think better and remember more easily?

We looked into that too, and honestly, it’s tough to tell.

CogniMaxx XL Ingredients

The actual CogniMaxx XL website doesn’t list the ingredient profile.

That’s a shame because it’s hard to get a good feel of how something will work when you don’t know what it’s made of.

But we found a few hints here and there about some possible ingredients:

Bee Pollen.According to the “Forbes Article,” Bee Pollen is the secret ingredient that brings it all together.

But as we mentioned above, there’s no evidence that Bee Pollen is beneficial to cognitive ability at all.

Ginkgo Biloba.

This ingredient can increase blood flow throughout the body, including to the brain.

The benefit is that with the improved blood flow comes more oxygen and nutrients feeding your brain and your brain power.

It’s a very commonly used supplement used to combat age-related cognitive decline.

Vinpocetine which has been used to combat cognitive degenerative diseases like Altzheimer’s Disease.

It may improve both short and long term memory.

Those are the ones referenced in the article.

Another source lists Phosphatidylserine as well.

Phosphatidylserine is also used to fight Altzheimer’s Disease and age-related decline in mental function.

Additionally, it’s believed to improve thinking skills in young people as well.

The way it’s thought to work is by increasing cell regeneration.

If they are actually in the formula, Vinpocetine and Phosphatidylserine are both solid choices for any brain boosting supplement.

And Ginkgo is great in a supporting role.

We just wish we knew for sure they’re in the formula and if so, is it more than just a dusting?

Where to Buy CogniMaxx XL

CogniMaxx XL is only available online. You won’t find it in supplement stores, drug stores, or even big box stores. I checked.

If you want CogniMaxx XL, you have to order it online. Conveniently, the article as well as several review websites, has a link to where you can do just that.

A single bottle costs $47, but if you buy multiples, you’ll pay a lower per bottle price. The biggest package deal is for 7 bottles for $197.00, bringing the per bottle price down to $28.14. There’s a 30-day money back guarantee, but it includes a restocking fee, so it’s not completely risk-free.

Conclusion

You’re here because you want to know if CogniMaxx XL works. It’s true I haven’t tried it yet.

I plan on ordering a bottle, and I’ll post my results as soon as I give it a fair shot.

But at this point, I’m not very hopeful.

I’ve tried several other products that used the same advertisement article – the EXACT SAME article – just with a different product name plugged in.

None of them were very effective.

The bottom line is that if the centerpiece of your marketing campaign is a falsified article pretending to come from Forbes magazine, you probably don’t have much faith that your product’s results will speak for themselves.

Keep checking back for updates though.

I will update this review as more information comes in!

What Are Nootropics?

We’ve heard the debates, the arguments, the never-ending questioning of: what’s the most important organ in the body?

We’ve seen the mixed results: the liver, the heart, and the brain, generally topping the list.

Though we concur that all three are incredibly vital to the body’s internal functioning, we have to side with the big man: the brain.

Whether the brain is truly the most important organ in the body is indeed arguable, but according to the National Institute of Drug Abuse, it’s the most complex.

Big surprise, right?

No doubt about it, the brain is one powerful organ.

Those little neurons in our brain have the monumental responsibility of sending data from the brain to the rest of our body.

In other words, the brain communicates with other organs in the body by transmitting messages through neurons, which also store information as memories.

Despite its seemingly superhuman strength, the brain can be debilitating as well.

Like when you just want to concentrate on a sole idea, but it keeps bouncing schizophrenically from one thing to the next.

scatter brained

Or when all you desire is sleep, but it insists on keeping you awake.

wide awake

At times like these, you might wish for a solution, something atypical to medications and their adverse effects.

At times like these, nootropics may be the answer you seek.

Table of Contents

  • On this page, we’ll talk about what nootropics are, how they are classified, who uses them, common myths, and how they compare to pharmaceutical drugs.

What are Nootropics Anyway?

We admit, the word “nootropics” does have a strangely intimidating yet enticing ring to it. “Noo,” sounds ominous, or like a warning. “Tropics,” sounds deliciously inviting.

In reality though, nootropics is an umbrella term for a class of substances (some natural, and some synthetic) that provide the human brain with cognitive benefits.

Along with promoting cognitive functions, some nootropics have anti-stress and sleep support properties.

Sounds cool?It gets even cooler…

The psychologist and chemist who invented the word “nootropics”, Dr. Cornelius E.

Giurgea, attached five criteria a nootropic must have to qualify as such.

Giurgea’s requirements can be viewed as protective measures to ensure the substance is produced in a way that shields the brain, instead of harming it.

True nootropics are supposed to:

  • Increase learning ability and memory
  • Safeguard the brain against physical/chemical injuries, such as barbiturates and scopolamine
  • Assist the brain in operating under unsettling conditions, such as electroconvulsive shock and hypoxia
  • Strengthen the efficiency of neuronal mechanisms in the brain
  • Be free of the typical pharmacology found in other psychotropic drugs and have very few side effects plus extremely low levels of toxicity

nootropics criteria

Clearly, Giurgea put a lot of thought into his criteria.

But when it comes to science, it’s given that other players will come up with their own observations and proposals.

Still, the general consensus is that nootropics should have a well-developed safety profile and little to zero toxicity.

Typical Nootropic Users

Any healthy adult seeking to improve his or her mental faculties can become a nootropic user.

In fact, the online nootropics community is made up of mostly healthy individuals looking to use nootropics to attain motivation and more lucid thinking.

An online survey on nootropic usage reveals most of the respondents as males.

The survey targeted people in two of the biggest online nootropics communities: Reddit and LongeCity.

Participants were asked to describe their experiences with 31 different substances. Those substances ranged from Armodafinil to Ginkgo Biloba, and many common nootropics in between.

Related Article:Afinil Express Review – Legit Modafinil w/o A Prescription

nootropics survey

Out of the 162 respondents, 92 percent were males and 8 percent were females.

The average age was 25.

But that’s not to say that only “youngsters” use nootropics.

Remember, the survey interviewed only a designated number of people, and only some responded.

So, somewhere out there are probably hordes of other people adding to the nootropics-user base.

But we will stick to what we can support.

Besides being used by enthusiasts for learning, studying and sharpening their mental firepower, nootropics has been shown to help the elderly and those suffering from brain trauma.

Even Russian astronauts got in on the action, taking nootropics to boost their mental capacities in space.

Debunking Common Myths

Myth #1: They are NOT a cure.

We know, it’s tempting to believe, or want to believe, that the benefits of nootropics are the cure to all of our mental problems.

From this belief stems the illusion that nootropics will transform us into geniuses or make us more intelligent.

Let’s drop-kick this appalling myth…

nootropics not a cure

Nootropics are cognitive enhancers.

They do not improve intelligence or produce blinding brilliance.

They simply boost mental capabilities relating to attention, memory and recall.

For instance, nootropics make it easier to concentrate on tasks and improve productivity.

But they will not automatically turn an average thinker into the next virtuoso philosopher.

They can, however, make him more adept at getting things done.

Myth #2: They Don’t Work Instantly

While we’re at it, let’s slash the myth that nootropics should always produce instant results.

The effectiveness of nootropics varies from one person to the next and depends on a myriad of factors, including weight, body chemistry, sleep patterns and diet.

nootropics not instant

That said, while some nootropics may work within a few minutes, others may take a few weeks to kick in.

First-time nootropic users, especially, should be aware of this.

Myth #3: They won’t make you “high”

As we read about the impressive benefits of nootropics on various websites and forums, expectations may be exceedingly high going in.

Not experiencing an effect right away might cause frustration and the feeling that the supplement just “doesn’t work.”

They also don’t produce a “high” like your typical dose of Adderall would. But, they do work, it just takes some time.

Hang in there – good things come to those who wait.

Nootropics Versus Smart Drugs: Is There a Difference?

Chances are, you have already searched the Internet for the word “nootropics” and got redirected to a bevy of articles referring to them as “smart drugs.” This can get confusing, as many websites don’t explain whether there’s a difference between nootropics and smart drugs.

Yet there is a difference, according to an article written by Dr. Andrew Hill, lead neuroscientist at truBrain.

In the nootropics community, however, the terms are often used interchangeably.

nootropics vs smart drugs

Since it’s generally acceptable to label nootropics and smart drugs as one in the same, there’s nothing wrong with adopting this trend.

But for the sake of knowledge and accuracy, it pays to know the difference.

Let’s set the record straight.

Smart drugs are usually prescribed by doctors to treat symptoms of mental or cognitive disorders.

For instance, Ritalin and Adderall are stimulants used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

Smart drugs typically contain stimulants, which boost energy and focus, but can also be detrimental in someone with heart or cardiac issues.

The stimulants in these drugs increase dopamine and norepinephrine levels, which can cause tolerance and dependence, negatively affecting stress levels, appetite, mood, as well as a wide range of cardiac effects.

adderall side effects

Smart drugs operate like amphetamines in that they stimulate the brain’s neurotransmitters to promote focus and alertness, similar to how caffeine operates.

On the flip side, a nootropic is a non-prescribed natural or synthetic compound made from herbs, vitamins and other supplements.

It’s designed to increase or safeguard cognition, and when taken properly by a generally healthy individual, typically does not produce side effects.

As Giurgea stated, the objectives of nootropics should always be to promote cognitive abilities and flow, while avoiding the side effects of harsh substances such as stimulants.

Hopefully, this introduction has given you sound insight into the fundamentals of nootropics.

Now it’s time to dig deeper and discover the different types of nootropics.

Types of Nootropics

We just got done discussing what Nootropics are, how they’re classified, who uses them, and common myths in Chapter 1 of this guide.

In this section, we’re going to talk about the various types of Nootropics, as well as how they work.

What makes nootropics so beautifully unique is that they are largely derived from natural ingredients and come in an extensive array of types.

You might need a checklist to keep track of them all, but here’s a tip: tracking them gets easier if you think of them in terms of “families.”

Once you understand the general purpose of the family, what the individual compound does becomes clearer.

Let’s begin with the “mother” of all nootropics…

The Racetam Family

(piracetam, aniracetam, nefiracetam, levetiracetam, pramiracetam, oxiracetam, phenylpiracetam, noopept, and more)

That’s a whole lot of “tams,” but each has earned the right to be a member of the family.

As the first nootropic ever, piracetam is special.

types of nootropicsHad it not been for Giurgea discovering piracetam, the word “nootropics” would probably not exist – he coined the term only after discovering piracetam (Giurgea 1972).

After the development of piracetam, many other racetams emerged, including aniracetam, nefiracetam, levetiracetam, pramiracetam, oxiracetam, phenylpiracetam and noopept.

All racetams have the same basic chemical structure that promotes cognitive enhancement.

They all share a 2-pyrrolidone nucleus, and as derivatives of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) are not naturally occurring, but rather chemically synthesized.

Being the first of its kind, piracetam remains the most widely known and researched racetam.

Next on the popularity scale are aniracetam, oxiracetam and pramiracetam.

Despite being the most popular, piracetam is neither the strongest nor the fastest-acting racetam.

For instance, oxiracetam is more potent and quicker-acting than piracetam and aniracetam (Landon, 2014).

Things get even more serious with pramiracetam, which is said to be up to 30 times stronger than piracetam – not to mention having all the letters needed to spell piracetam in its name.

noopeptThe Russian-developed and approved noopept is similar in potency to pramiracetam.

It is so powerful that the recommended dosage is as little as 10-20 milligrams, up to three times per day.

Racetams are used for medical purposes in different countries.

For instance, in Europe, piracetam has a long history as a cognition-enhancing agent used to treat impaired intellectual function.

Most racetams are not approved in the United States for medical use.

The only one that has received the honor is levetiracetam (brand name Keppra) – an anticonvulsant used to control epileptic seizures.

A 2004 publication by the National Institute of Health reveals that levetiracetam has proven to be well tolerated and safe.

The most common side effects are dizziness, asthenia and sleepiness, which typically appear at the onset of levetiracetam treatment and usually disappear without medication withdrawal.

Eugeroic Stimulants

(modafinil, adrafinil, armodafinil, etc.)

modafinilEugeroic stimulants – such as modafinil and adrafinil – operate like smart drugs, but they generally don’t produce significant spikes in heart rate or blood pressure nor do they produce euphoria or the propensity for abuse.

This is in contrast to conventional stimulant medications such as Adderall (mixed amphetamine salts), Dexedrine (dextroamphetamine) and Ritalin (methylphenidate, a compound structurally related to amphetamine).

Eugeroic stems from Greek word meaning “good arousal.” It is a wakefulness-promoting agent that makes it easier to stay up longer and temporarily helps to avoid sleep deprivation.

Eugeroics are not a replacement for sleep.

Instead, they enable wakefulness to facilitate productivity.

They can be especially useful when you’re forced to sit through a boring class or perform monotonous sleep-inducing work.

You will probably never see someone on the street selling their parents’ TV for their next hit of modafinil.

But that doesn’t mean side effects aren’t possible.

Modafinil and adrafinil’s effect on mental functioning (beyond wakefulness) have not been confirmed, and although side effects are uncommon, they can be life threatening. While some eugeroic stimulants require a prescription (e.g. modafinil), others don’t (e.g. adrafinil).

Cholinergics

(lecithin, choline, DMAE, alpha-GPC, CDP choline, galantamine, donepezil and huperzine A)

There are several ways to define cholinergic substances.

For brevity’s sake, we will examine two angles:

First perspective

A cholinergic is a precursor to acetylcholine, one of the most important neurotransmitters for memory function.

The body naturally produces acetylcholine, but it’s often not enough, and this is where supplements such as choline, alpha-GPC, CDP choline and DMAE come in.

These supplements serve as choline boosters, allowing the brain to make acetycholine.

In simple terms, cholinergic precursors increase the levels of acetylcholine in the brain.

Although lecithin doesn’t technically qualify as a cholinergic precursor, it contains phosphatidylcholine – a cholinergic precursor.

Second perspective

Cholinergics block acetylcholinesterase –which is the enzyme that breaks down acetylcholine and decreases the level and duration of action of the acetylcholine neurotransmitter.

Specific types of cholinergics – such as galantamine, huperzine A and donepezil – inhibit acetylcholinesterase while replenishing acetycholine levels.

acetylcholine

Vitamins and Supplements

(B and D vitamins and Omega-3 fatty acids)

“Make sure you take your vitamins.

They’re good for you.”

We might hear these words incessantly from someone we know, and dismiss this person as patronizing or nagging.

But they’re right!

While there’s a great deal of quackery in the alternative health field, there’s also solid evidence on the benefits of vitamins and supplements, with regards to mood, motivation, alertness, etc.

Vitamins, minerals and other nutrients are often overlooked as possible pathways to personal enhancement, but they have a positive effect on mild psychiatric symptoms, perceived stress and the mood of people who are generally healthy. Supplements with high doses of B vitamin, especially, may be more effective for improving mood.

We cannot ignore, though, individuals who assume that because many supplements are “all natural,” the substances contained in them are harmless.

This line of thinking is both erroneous and extremely dangerous.

Some of these supplements, including members of the B vitamin family as well as vitamin D, can cause physiological toxicity (including, but not limited to, neurotoxicity).

Omega-3 fatty acids are essential to human health, but the body cannot produce them; we have to obtain them through food or supplements.

Fish, certain plants and nut oils all have Omega-3 fatty acids – which some scientists believe can protect against Alzheimer’s disease and dementia plus help lower the risk of heart disease and cancer.

A word of caution: if you’re consuming fish or extracted fish oil regularly as a source of Omega-3 fatty acids, be sure to verify that it’s not contaminated with mercury.

We could consider mercury as an anti-nootropic because of its hazardous impact on cognitive functioning that results from mercury poisoning.

Focusene Review – Should You Try It?

When you’re having trouble focusing, finding yourself forgetting things, or having difficulty staying on task all the way through to completion, you might benefit from a relatively new class of natural supplements called nootropics.

They’ve been getting a lot of internet buzz, and I’ve personally tried quite a few of them.

Basically, what nootropics do is naturally help improve conditions within your brain to optimize memory, focus, attention, and concentration.

For some people, like those who suffer with ADD and/or ADHD, these attributes are at a deficient level naturally, and nootropics can raise their cognitive function up to “normal.” For others, they’re looking for something to give them an edge, that leg up over the competition.

Focusene is a newer option I’ve recently noticed picking up steam on the internet.

Its marketing seems to focus more on those with a tendency toward ADD/ADHD rather than those who are looking for that “Limitless Pill”.

But it claims it would be effective in both cases.

Focusene ReviewBenefits of Focusene

According to the available marketing materials, people with trouble focusing are lacking certain nutrients within their brains.

And if those could just be boosted to the appropriate levels, things would fall into place, allowing them to feel “normal”, maybe for the first time in their lives.

Focusene then goes further.

After providing the proper nutrients, it then supercharges your memory and cognitive ability to take you to a higher levels of ability than you knew existed.

How Focusene Works

Within your brain are neurotransmitters, each with their own function and purpose.

Three of the important ones for focus, concentration, and memory are Dopamine, Norepinephrine, and Acetylcholine.

In a nutshell:

  • Dopamine regulates motivation and alertness.
  • Norepinephrine is often deficient in Alzhiemer’s Disease patients and is important for extreme concentration and the brain’s natural reward system.
  • Acetylcholine is very involved in the signaling processes within the brain.

This is the one most nootropic supplements are involved with.

Some of the components of the Focusene formula provide an almost instant cognitive boost.

These are working on your brain’s cellular energy and boosting the activity of acetylcholine.

Others are more for the long term cognitive effects, providing the building blocks necessary to boost stores of the chemicals your brain needs to function at its peak.

Focusene Ingredients

The Focusene formula consists of several natural ingredients, each with their own contribution to your cognitive health:

  • Dandelion Extract which improve memory and wakefulness with its Luteolin content.
  • Forskolin which boosts cellular energy levels in the brain for better inter-cell communication.
  • Phenylalanine which is an amino acid that acts as a precursor to both Dopamine and Acetylcholine.
  • L-Theanine which increases the activity of the neurotransmitter, GABA, for the reduction of physical tension.
  • Acetyl—Carnitine which boosts both physical and mental energy.
  • Grape Seed Extract which provides antioxidant protection for cells and improves blood flow for better nutrient delivery.
  • Brahmi (Bacopa Monnieri) which promotes focus, concentration, and mental endurance, while it reduces anxiety.
  • DMAE which helps boost choline levels, which leads to increased acetylcholine.
  • Vitamin B6 which is involved in the metabolism of several neurotransmitters.
  • Ginkgo Biloba which is known to enhance memory and concentration as well as mood.
  • Korean Red Ginseng which has been used to fight anxiety and depression as well as improve memory for centuries.

How To Use Focusene

The recommended dose is 2 Focusene capsules per day.

You can take the 2 together, or you can separate them into 2 doses, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Either way, it’s recommended that you take your dose with water about half an hour before eating.

Clinical Studies

Some of the ingredients found in the Focusene formula have been the subject of scientific research, demonstrating their effectiveness or promise of such.

The Focusene website provides information about and links to some of those studies.

Focusene itself, however, does not appear to have ever been the subject of any official clinical trials as far as I can tell.

Who Makes Focusene?

Focusene is made by a company called Tranquility Labs out of Medford, Massachussettes.

Right off the bat, we noticed that the company has an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau.Believe me, in the online supplement industry, this is a rarity.

It doesn’t speak to the specific quality of their products, but it does give some assurance that they provide more than adequate customer service and respond appropriately to any complaints that come their way.

Focusene Side Effects and Precautions

The ingredients in Focusene are generally considered pretty safe, but that doesn’t mean there’s no chance of side effects.

Any supplement can cause unwanted effects in some people, but the expectation is that they’d be mild headaches or nausea, or possibly a difficulty sleeping if taken too late at night.

If you take prescription medication of have any medical condition, you should check with your doctor before taking Focusene or any supplement.

Where to Buy

Focusene is only available online through the Tranquility Labs website or the Focusene website.

The price and package options vary depending on which site you’re using.

On the Focuses website, the only thing available is the monthly shipping option.

It’s not a free trial like a lot of the other supplements offer.

But it does provide a discount over a single bottle purchase.

If you sign up, you’ll pay $39.95 each month for your supply.

On the Tranquility Labs website, you also have the option of one-time purchases.A single bottle is $49.95. Three bottles sell for $99.95. And six bottles cost $179.95.

All orders on both sites are covered by a 60 day money back guarantee that applies to one month worth of Focusene.

Focusene Pros and Cons

Advantages of Focusene

  • The ingredients are all natural.
  • They provide links to clinical studies for some of the ingredients in Focusene.
  • There’s a money back guarantee.

Disadvantages of Focusene

  • There are no independent Focusene reviews from customers. This makes it very tough to know how it’s working out there in the real world.

Clinical studies on the ingredients are important, but we don’t know if these ingredients use the studied amounts.

Conclusion

It seems like there’s a new brain boosting supplement coming out every single day.

Most of them promise results like Bradley Cooper’s character in the movie, “Limitless.” Focusene takes a different approach.

It’s goal is to boost the cognitive function, focus, and concentration for those unlucky people with actual deficits in this area.

The fact that the ingredients they chose show clinical promise is a good thing.

The one thing missing is real, unbiased, independent customer reviews.

If you’re willing to be one of the first, give Focusene a try, and let us know how it works out for you.

Otherwise, it is fairly difficult for me to comfortably recommend something when I cannot be fully sure myself how it is going to affect a large number of people and I feel better off suggesting that you go with a similar product that actually has more verifiable feedback.
